The deer meat was succulent. The owner knows his meats. Also the marbled rib-eye steak cut at an inch thick was perfect.

Avoid this place at all cost. Unfriendly service and unreliable. Staff was rude and left us in a bad position. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Guy answering the phone is absolutely useless, I called to attempt to figure out how I can get meat delivered to my home and or if I could be notified when they are making a delivery to my area so I can make a order and the guy politely told me to take a hike.

I like that this store exists and provides wild meats. The only problem is you have to order in advance and it's TOO EXPENSIVE.

Our family had the best fresh turkey this Easter for dinner. Thank you sooo much Muskoka Meats! AM Pitman

Finally had the chance to stop by the store after driving past it for a few years on our way to the cottage. It's a small and simply shop, but that's the good thing. The owner, David, is a nice and knowledgeable guy who adheres to the 100 mile philosophy, as well as sustainable and ethical practices. We picked up the venison sausages as well the Muskokafest sausages. The venison tasted like any other sausage, while the Muskokafest had a bit more of a bite to it. The best though was the bacon. Essentially a breakfast bacon at the same price as what you would pay at St. Lawrence Market. Also picked up some oysters at the Blue Marlin Seafood Market right next door. Very large Malpeque oysters (60 count per box) at a reasonable cost given the size and distance from the suppliers. It'll be our usual destination to pick up bacon and try new meats.

Picked up steaks and scallops. Steaks were cut inch and quarter thick, shows you what you getting. Very cool owner. Old school at it's finest. Highly recommend this place for all your meats going north.

Best double smoked bacon anywhere. The fish selection is very good, black cod is top of the line. Prices are higher but you get what you pay for.

Just very very expensive. Venison is just very expensive. The free range chicken had very soft bones similar to those you buy at Walmart, Costco, etc. at a fraction of the price. Free range chickens usually have hard bones as they eat plenty of foliage containing calcium and vitamin C. There was no gizzard or liver in the chicken either; instead it was stuffed with the white chicken fat which usually free range chickens have yellow.

Absolutely amazing shop. The owner is one of the nicest guys around. Stays open late on Fridays, always a huge smile.
