Tried their jalapeño smokies. They were ok. For over $3/each they weren't “that good”. I will stick to Gary's and Chop N block. There is a reason that Gary's is crazy busy every time you go there. Nice people working at this place though. I might still try some of their seasoned ribs. At the same price as basically hot dogs, might be a better product and purchase. Not sure if any of their meat was organic or not. BC's best smokies still come from Chilako meats in PG. organic meat and the best price/taste.

Summit Gourmet Meats is as the name says - gourmet. They carry all kinds of protein such as beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and even some fish. Lots of pre-made items such as kabobs and marinaded steaks and chicken. The quality is top notch. The service always fast and friendly. The prices, while a bit higher than the grocery store, are worth every penny.

Picked up a large AAA Steak for myself and my girlfriend, $14.99 and $6 for a couple baked potatoes. Could be cheaper but the quality was superb!

I recently needed some smoked fish to be vacuum packed so that could fly with it across the country. I was referred to Summit Gourmet Meats in Kamloops by another grocery store and talked with Cole the store manager. Cole was very accommodating and I took my product up and they did a great job for me. The smoked fished kept well and was enjoyed by all at a family wedding. This is my favourite butcher in town, they always greet you with a great smile. They meat is unparalleled in town, so fresh and they are can help you with a special cut. If you haven’t tried their roast beef sandwich meat you are missing out. Stick with the specialist and go to Summit meat, you won’t be disappointed.

Words can't describe the amazing quality of meat you get at Summit Gourmet Meats. Have been shopping here for three years and won't go back to the large chain stores again. For years we have been buying our meat and Scottish butcher items from Summit Gourmet Meats. This past Saturday we grabbed some Rib eye steaks for barbecuing. We always store our dairy and meat products in a cooler with ice packs for a short 10 minute drive home. On Sunday we went to barbeque these steaks from Summit Gourmet Meats. Upon retrieving the steaks from the fridge we found the steaks smelled and were partially gray in areas. An inconvenience as we had to find other plans for dinner. I returned to Summit Gourmet Meats on Monday with the bad steaks. The clerk went and spoke with one of the butchers. They offered to exchange the steaks. However they charged me $6 dollars. I asked the butcher why the charge and I was told because they were larger. I would think they would give me larger steaks at no cost for selling these steaks and the inconvenience. When I mentioned this to the butcher all he said was “oh“ Time to try another butcher or or Summit gourmet meats make this right?

We ordered meat in advance to get picked the next day, when I came to pick it up it’s not ready. I offered to pay it in advance so their sure I’ll pick it up. I’m supposed to prepare a special dinner for tonight because it’s Mother’s Day. When I asked if they can still do my order they said they can’t anymore. I’ve been a regular customer and putting a good word out. This is not the 1st time it happened. I’ve talked to the manager and didn’t even give me a solution to the incident. She was saying there was an incident that we did not pick up what we ordered, but we never got a call that our order was ready for pick-up. It is really disappointing. Maybe it’s time to take our business somewhere else. Very poor customer service.

Accounting The Belt Shop

Ordered a family size savory turkey and vegetable pie as well as a family size pumpkin pie. They sell them frozen, nicely packaged and complete with reheating instructions for the savory pie. These pies were for my sister and her husband to enjoy at Thanksgiving and enjoy they did!! They loved them saying they were both so delicious! Thanks Josh at Summit Meats.
