We went there from a nearby town and the meat literally smelled horrible and had to be thrown out even after cooking. We did notice some meats turned almost greenish but was on the shelf. Very unfortunate experience.

Gone a few times based on recommendations, but each time customer service was lacking. Staff couldn’t answer questions about their meat source, added ingredients (because they are not on labels), and looked bewildered when we asked about nitrate use.

I thought I would splurge for a couple of prime rib steaks from a premium butcher. I grilled them to medium rare. One was as tough as a blade steak. The other was more tender but still not what I would expect from an award winning shop. I don't know how long Earl's ages their beef or what quality control they exercise on their sources but the difference between the two identically labelled steaks bought at the same time shows inconsistency in their quality control. I have had better and more consistent results from Superstore for less money. I won't be back to Earl's.

I have ordered their meat packs online from their order form found on their website but today when I called to say my son will be picking it up the girl at the front had no idea what I was talking about. Same thing happened last time when I showed up at the time I said I’d pick it up, no clue what I was talking about and had to make one up while I waited. Such an inconvenience when I think I’ll just be in and out while running errands.

Bought a huge pack of beef for $30 only to realize it was packaged that same day and EXPIRED the next day. Thanks earls meats for expecting someone to eat such an enormous amount of beef in one day and have to waste expensive meat. Will be taking my business elsewhere from now.

earls makes the best farmer sausage. I get huge amounts of it as I live in Calgary and can only get it when I visit Steinbach or when family comes to visit me. I have had to order more and more over the years since all of my friends are now addicted to it, and they keep asking when i will be getting more.

Great place to buy ur fresh meats and more. Friendly staff. The owner is friendly. There in-store pepperoni sticks fantastic. U got to try the jalapeno and cheese. There hamburger is verygood. Oh heck just go you will see what I mean.

We brought our Elk this year to Earl and WoW ????. This meat shop went above and beyond. The organization was excellent, the staff was knowledgeable and courteous. The shop was clean and inviting. Now the steak cuts and wrapping are perfect and the sausage and pepperetts are so damn good...... you’d be crazy to go anywhere else. Thanks Earl I will be a repeat customer.

I would not recommend using Earl's Meat Market to cut and wrap any meat. We had five people get our beef cut and wrapped at his butcher shop and wanted it divided equally in five lots. it was divided but only a fraction of the packages were labeled so now we all have to unpack the unlabelled packages and then guess whats inside. we paid extra for that service. OUCH Some of the packages are just marked HIP. A couple of years ago we had beef cut there and the steaks where so nonuniform ranging from 1/2" to 1" thick on the same steak. I don't believe anybody can properly prepare a steak that is cut at such an angle. when we tried to talk him he was to busy to even listed and claimed we were all being untruthful. Beware of this Business!!!!

Ordered 7 steaks for a birthday party, Earl I got to say they were Perfect, the seasoning was delicious,. My wife very fussy she said they were better than the Keg. Thanks for a job well done. You can't compromise on quality come to Earl's Meats in Steinbach.

WOW!!! Unbelievable!!! Earl himself today told me he didn't have time for unsatisfied customers. He totally botched a whole order (644 lbs of beef) on wrap and labelling. He charged my parents extra for their specific request, which they paid. Only to receive $527 of POORLY WRAPPED meat in UNLABELLED packages. And Earl refuses to do anything right by them. Every package must be opened now and wrapped properly and labeled to the best of our ability. So much for hiring a Proffesional. LOL Also, 2 years ago we had our beef cut there and they ruined every steak they cut. We ordered 1 inch steaks and they cut them into tapered slivers that could not be BBQd. What a waste!!! If you want your meat ruined See Earl.
