A terrific boutique butcher that has the freshest product and finest cuts at reasonable prices to be found in the city. I especially appreciate that they will bring in old world offal and other cuts not normally found in the butcher counter at your request and are more than happy to share ideas about preparation techniques. Great group of people in my opinion the best butcher in Ottawa.

We moved to the west end of Ottawa a little over a year ago-and my only regret is that we didn't find this place sooner! Tried them out by getting some sirloin steaks-the meat is definitely top quality (from O'Brien's Farms I believe) and perfectly aged. Went back for some bone-in pork chops-same deal. If you don't believe me do a taste test between what you get from Brian's vs. what you get from a grocery store-no comparison! We'll be using them for all of our meat needs from now on.

Terrible service!!!! Here for work with six hungry men and the young guy working there was trying to deter me from buying six rib steaks. He went on to tell me that eating half of one will get you sick because it’s too much meat!!!!!! Never heard this in my life. I then asked for a strip loan without too much fat and he proceeded to tell me they pay extra for fat!!!!! Another employee came out the back who wasn’t there for the conversation and decided to stick his nose in where it does not belong. Once I told him what was said he shut up. Never again will I visit this place. They should do an assessment with their staff on customer service and tone down the abrasive behaviour. I’m there to buy meat not be bullied after spending $150.00!!!!

Only the second time I bought pork belly (for a dish for my grandson) and this was by far the best cut I have ever seen - so meaty! Even the YouTube videos don't show such a nice one. And, the pandemic protocols are the best!!! They protect their staff and the customers.

I did some research to find a good butcher, and this one had good reviews, so I chose it. The only issue I have with this place is I drove all the way down there on a special occasion to pick up T-Bone steaks, nothing else, when I got there they didn't have any at all. It may be a one time deal, but it was the case for me, now I have no reason to go back there. To me, it's like having a car without a steering wheel, the only/best place to get good T-Bone is at a butcher, usually.

You guys need to be inspected.. For selling old meats!! I came all the way from Toronto for work but made it a point to visit the area butcher shops given the amount of farm land near by assumed it would be a solid selection of organic quality meats. The day got messed up so I had to return early and settled on Around the Block as my spot to load up on meats. Got a butch and Everything frozen ended up being rotten. The chicken stunk as soon as I defrosted it and opened the bag.. 6 separate bags all rotten . Making a bucks important in business but this is sickening

One of the best butchers in town. Prices are reasonable and their meats are fresh! They will cut anything up to your liking. They also sell large packages of meat. Most meats are sourced locally. They also make great sandwiches, and have an assortment of organic or straight from the farm products like honey and eggs. Definite recommendation for anyone looking for a great Butcher in the city!

After 6 years of searching for a meat that tastes like back home I've finally found it! I cannot explain how grateful I am and how this just changed our lives.???????????? This is the first meat since I live in Canada, that doesn't smell bad when I'm cooking it, and it's completely red and always fresh. Many times my lunch or dinner ended up in the garbage because when I started cooking it, it would smell very very bad. This is the first meat that I have no issues digesting it. This meat is antibiotic/hormones and steroid free.
