This is a fantastic locally owned butcher shop. I've had their deli sandwiches, their frozen soups and several of their fresh made items, including hamburgers, sausages and steaks. All of them are top notch, in particular their brisket burgers (yeah, you heard me, brisket. burgers.) Is it more expensive than the supermarket? Yes, but not as much as you'd think. And is that price justified by notably superior quality and service? Absolutely! I highly recommend this place and will be back many times.

Limited selection, high prices and they don't follow their own COVID protocols. To follow up on the owner's reply, there was an employee in the store who was wearing what looked like a bandana instead of a mask on his face. More importantly though, when I was there it was posted as a 3 customer limit in the store. I was in the store along with another customer but when a couple came into the store to make it a total of 4 customers in the store, no one in the store enforced the policy.

The owners are friendly, professional and so knowledgeable. Their space is absolutely pristine. Extremely clean. The food is so delicious. If you want the best sandwich of your life you won't be disappointed. And for less than $10. My personal favourite is the sausages. I also love the soups and the prepared meals. They remind me of the restaurant quality they used to cook up at the Lobby Bar. Next on my list is the charcuterie take out.

This butcher shop is amazing. The owner previously ran an upscale restaurant in Almonte and they have a lot of prepared meats that make for great dinners. They have a deli counter with great sandwiches and decadent cookies that are worth the visit alone. Highly recommended!

Great quality meat and knowledgeable service! We treated ourselves to a Prime Rib roast New Year's day. It was worth every penny and the ribs and leftover bits and pieces made a great beef and barley soup.

The price of Prime Rib is just crazy these days. I mean, $48 a kilo? I can’t afford that very often but a couple special dinners every year just warrant the extravagance. I just bought an incredibly good 7 lb black angus prime rib here and it was pure perfection for a special dinner with special friends. I had the butcher cut out the ribs and tie it back. Cooked it to medium rare and WOW! So good! Perfectly marbled, very little fat or waste. Sure, it cost a small fortune at over $166 but hey, was it ever good! I’m also convinced I didn’t pay anymore here at this local, terrific and dedicated butcher shop. Also incredibly good was the made-in-house sourdough bread which went really well with the beef and made an amazing grilled cheese next day. Anyway, awesome butcher shop and I’ll be back for their sausages, bread, pork, chicken and, of course, prime rib. Go!
