Tim’s makes awesome kolbasa. I love to stop there before camping. The owners are very awesome as well. Great service...

Local butchers selling excellent sausages and range of meats. Very friendly staff. I love how the meat is wrapped in wax paper, saves on all the plastic.

Best darn meat you can get in Thunder Bay. It's nice to know where your meat comes from and it is mostly local. The buffalo burgers are fantastic. The service is great and exceptional. It is a real nice little experience to stop buy and grab something for the BBQ..Oh ,,,and I should mention, the prices are good and maybe better than what you might pay for substandard, tortured critters from your regular grocery store.

Yes they sell some local meat but his supply is been cut by many. It bad when you sell him a whole beef and he knows payment is due in cash on delivery. He gets his guys to unload and tells you I will get your payment. But you wait out bAck at the cooler for 20 min. And no show. Stalls paying. Says it will be reAdy in 3 days. Nope. A week an a half later you get a msg from a person you sent to collect. Oh tell him I have A problem with the meat. Yet for days people post how great the meAt is this week.. I am out over $1200.00 for all most 2 years. Talking to other farmers And prospers. He known for this.

Stopped in here because I used to go to this place 25 years ago when I lived in Thunder Bay. They always made great french fries. It's since been turned into more of a deli/grocery store. The deli portion of their business is lacking. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with cheese lettuce tomato mustard mayo. You can see from the pictures I paid way too much for what I got!

The service was great. Not impressed tho with paying $20+ a pound for 3 of the toughest New York Strips I've ever eaten. They tasted great and good thing because by the time you chewed them enough to swallow them, you had all the flavour they had to offer, out. Maybe just the luck of the draw but I chose a local butcher shop instead of a grocery store to avoid that particular lottery.

this place is hit and miss.......summer of 2017 went in 3 or 4 times for "baseball" steaks (a large thick cut wrapped in bacon). first time they were ready in the display case.. each other time i requested some and (i'm guessing) Tim would put some together in a few minutes. I left happy every time last year. Stopped in a few days before new years eve. Tim again made me some in a short period of time. again happy customer. Fast forward to this summer. i go in on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm. ask for 3 or 4. the polite 18 year old turns and asks a more senior employee making sausages if they could do some. The more senior staff member, without turning around, says "we need 24 hours notice". i say ive got some stuff to do i could come back in an hour. "Nope. 24 hours notice".....went to George's instead...left a note on their Facebook page asking to speak to Tim with my concern's.....got a reply from the sausage maker as he "looks after the online content"....asked him to have Tim call me....still no call....i wonder if Tim ever got that message or saw the online conversation? Again went in this past Thursday evening about 6 pm(Thursday June 8th??). this time i'm told "we need a weeks notice" by polite younger staff..Informed them that i could wait. told them i could come back in 30 to 40 minutes.....no go.....spent my 40 bucks at maltese's this time...... when one can get them, these baseball steaks are really good and not cheap. usually 40 bucks for four but they are worth it. TIM? what's going on?...you always seem so pleasant and seem to go the extra mile. Seems your younger staff either are not being trained correctly or just don't care about you and your business......If they are multiple times telling me to keep my money, how many others are being asked to leave? i could understand we don't have the correct cut or out of bacon. I could understand "we are just closing".. or "we are way behind on this catering order."....but Tim seems to go out of his way to make the sale. Tim, What else are they doing , or not doing behind your back?..... I'll give them another chance. Probably before canada day......crossing my fingers that things change I'll give the baseball steak's another try BUT THREE STRIKE'S AND YOU'RE OUT!!!!
