We have purchased our meat here for the past 3 years. The quality is good, but the service is absolutely horrible!! I never want to go in because they are always in a miserable mood. I find the place unclean as well. The other issue we are having is a lack of poultry options, and not many fresh cuts mostly frozen. We have started going out of our way to pick up at other butchers because of the VERY rude service. My husband never complains about this kind of stuff but he refuses to go back after countless poor customer experiences, especially considering how much money they have made off of our household.

Excellent deli meat quality and service. I always get my deli meats here. Black forest ham, roast beef, and roast chicken Dont believe the bad reviews. Edit: This used to be a 5 star review, but Hoffmans really should treat customers without masks better. Instead they just demand that they leave, even if they have an exemption!

This place is exceptional...great quality meats and loads of interesting food items (from Europe) to pair with them! Staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Shame on Martin l for suggesting they’re not ABSOLUTELY within their legal right to protect both patrons and staff from an individual who refuses to wear a mask! Masks inside are mandatory - it’s the LAW - and if you can’t wear one b/c of a medical issue, they have to right to refuse service to maintain the safety of their environment... It’s an issue easily resolved by any sensible, reasonable person - simply have someone else shop for you.

Great cold cuts their homemade smoked ham is amazing Smokey deliciousness nice people really good food **UPDATE** The store made fresh or frozen sausages are all amazing too! Not too salty, good meat used. Also, their smoked bacon is delicious, and priced well!

There was a disappointing lack of sprayed meats. Not a single sprayed ham, sprayed rib-eye, sprayed bacon, or sprayed sausage to be found. I'm sure you often wonder why you've always been overshadowed by the Gods of meat, Conestoga Meat Packers and at last I've come to tell you. YOU HAVE NOT A SINGLE SPRAYED MEAT!!!

Not sure what has happened at Hoffman's, maybe new ownership not sure. You cannot phone ahead for two steaks for the same day but you can go in, ask for two steaks and receive them???!! No same day phone orders but you can walk in and get what you want. Just lost on that decision and whoever is at the front is just so rude. God forbid you ask the difference in types of meat. After the sarcasm, eye roll and the heavy sigh, I just walked out. Thankfully there are other meat shops to go to.

This establishment discriminates against those who are disabled due to medical conditions. I witnessed a poor customer walk into this establishment and belittled for not having a mask on, even though he made it clear that he had a medical condition and could not breathe. This is a human rights violation and I hope that this individual follows up with legal action. I cannot believe that a professional business would speak to anyone the way that they did and belittle those who are less fortunate!!! Shame on you Hoffman's!!!

On Thursday we picked up fine meatloaf fresh & hot out of the oven; some maple breakfast sausages, a pair of smoked pork chops and some pickled headcheese. We packed the hot fine meatloaf in an insulated bag, drove for 2 hours & the meatloaf was still warm for our lunch. The breakfast sausages were mildly flavoured with maple. The smoked pork chops were thick, meaty with very little fat. Everything was fresh, delicious & reasonably priced! We try to stop in when we are in the vicinity.

Love Hoffmann's, have been going there for many years, great products, friendly service. The smell of the smoked meats when you walk in remind me of the European butcher shops my parents used to frequent on Roncesvalles in Toronto when I was a kid.
