First time ordering. Received one dead chick. I wrote customer service. I was told all orders have more chicks than ordered to account for those that die in route. I didn't have this extra one in my small order. When I told customer service this, I never got a further response. Living birds are healthy.

Gave me all sick chicks, said they would call me back with a resolution and they nvr did. Very awful customer service, blamed it on them having vacations. I guess it's not worth their time to have happy customers.

Every year I order day olds white rock meat hens, EVERY YEAR! For the past 10 years! This year I ordered from Frey’s and I’ve lost 3/4 of my chicks! Upon pick up two were already dead out of 50. The first night I got them all set up same as I do every year proper room temperature food and water by morning 15 dead! And they just keep dying off every morning there’s another one gone! Today I lost 6!!!! I will never order from this place again! Mill pond is the way for me.

We won’t use them again, will get them (any birds) closer to home. We had 5 turkeys come to us and they died within 4 days, and they replaced them (not without several phone calls and emails) they sent us 5 new ones and we have 1 that survive, others all died within days of getting them. Wasn’t impressed with the customer service, all our chickens lived but customer service goes a long way- and this hatchery doesn’t have it! Shouldn’t have to call more than once to get the problem solved!

i purchased 15 barred rocks from frey's this is my first time purchasing and brooding baby chicks. i followed there advice for brooding from there website and they were spot on i have not lost one. they are beautiful little chicks that are a month old now and very chubby and cute love them. thanks freys great info on your website

I buy from Frey's form years now - good quality birds always. Seems every year different strains for broilers - they look different and grow at different rate but overall very satisfying. They always arrive lively and well developed. i love their "old fashioned" layers - eggs are superb, hens very productive and long lived (got now 3 yrs olds still laying huge eggs every other day!) i wish they offer more breeds - and bantams too...

I bought a small order of pullets from Freys. I'm just disappointed that the company didn't mention they debeak all pullets... I wouldn't have bought the chickens from them if I knew they had been debeaked.
