Prices sure are high, $8.49 for a small thing of ground pepper? Incan buy a large bulk pack for that... Compared to the competition pricing wise I'll goto the competition. $1.50 difference in the same fresh baked croissants same size/amount.. that $$ adds up... Spent $75 got $50 worth. So I guess shop around but now I know why this place is small and not as busy as the other places...

It used to be a good store, but the quality is not what it use to be. Especially in the meat section . It's not very fresh, and on occasions looks sick. Very disappointed!

Certain staff members clearly did not want to be there and man did they show it. However, bravo to the small amount of staff that had good people skills. Other than that, prices were pretty high compared to similar stores in town. One positive is that out of the small amount of stock they have, there is a good variety.

Went camping up in KL. Many products were expired including meat, bread and produce. The broccoli we bought expired 12 days previous and we didn't notice. Lovely surprise at dinner time when you're already at Esker. More quality control needed. Someone is asleep at the wheel.

Usually good service. However irritated that I drove there at 9:15 as times were updated on Google 5 days ago and changed to 8am to 10pm every day. Clearly that is false as I got there and was told it's still 9 and they are aware it says 10 and have already had multiple complaints but the owner still hasn't changed it.

Perhaps it is my experience with southern ontario foodlands, but food tends to be more expensive and it is hard to get meat that has a decent expiry date.

This Foodland Store has been the greatest place to shop in Kirkland Lake since my husband & I moved here 2006. However, times have changed. The newest owner has let this store go down in value. The meat department, in the past, was terrific, but, now, it is so poor in selection and the prices are outrageous. We did not shop at the local Independent until this new owner of Foodland has proved incapable of keeping up the standards. We now go to Independent store to buy meat which before we would not even would have thought of. I like to know - what happened? The sales in the Foodland flyer are seldom available. What is going on here? Too bad it has come to this. I'm sure the former owners would be most upset at this evaluation! Wake up and look after this store before you lose more customers!
