The selection is great and they always have good specials. They stock great meat and can produce pretty much any cut or still of beef for you. Special requests of mine have never been denied. They also stock woodchip varieties for smoking, charcoal and bbq accessories. If you need sauces, sides or marinades they have a great selection of high quality products. Some may find their prices high but this is traceable quality meats so the value is on point. They also offer aged meat and aged meat services.

Got our first Farm to City delivery today! Very happy. Wasn’t home when it was delivered, but it was left out of sight of the road which was wonderful. The quality difference from VG compared to big grocery retailers is amazing. You CAN taste the difference. As someone who needs to stay on budget as well, prices are 100% reasonable for the great quality. We are well stocked now! Looking forward to becoming a loyal customer! :)

Beef bacon and beef sausages were amazing! I had a delivery right before Christmas and was very pleased with their customer service. Im well outside their normal delivery area but they offered to deliver anyway. Very responsive to emails. And honestly - beef bacon! My husband can't eat pork anymore and any other substitute we've tried is awful. The beef bacon is delicious. Just as good or better than pork bacon. And the hot beef sausages reminded me of my grandmother's Portuguese chorizo sausages which we were also missing (traditionally made with pork). So good! I just finished eating a leftover one and immediately had to come on here and write a review to offer up my thanks!

Walked in after calling about a brisket... Employee on the phone was very helpful, and the one in person even more. Very satisfied with the brisket quality, and I also picked up a tomahawk steak, which was also awesome... Brisket was pretrimmed, and it had virtually zero waste, so that's a big plus. Tomahawk steak came with a small bone, so you're not paying for bone weight. Both were excellent, no complaints at all, and I'm looking forward to get my own dry aged side of beef.

I placed an order over the phone for a cooked turkey for Thanksgiving with stuffing and gravy about 4 days prior to picking it up. Once I arrived at the location just had to give my name pick up the cooked bird and was on my way. Simple as that.

Placed an order for a few things... a prime rib roast, stewing beef, pork chops, bacon, chicken, etc.. and just made beef stew tonight in my Instant Pot... I just have to say it exceeded my expectations and I have sampled VG meat before.. I was worried it wouldn't be as tender in the IP but it was beyond amazing - so tender and flavourful. Can't wait to try the rest of the products that we ordered!

By far the best place to get quality meat products and everything that goes with it, made locally! More importantly than having fantastic products, the family service that they give is unreal. I say family because I DO NOT feel like a customer; rather a member of the VG family. VG only recently stepped into my life and is going to be here forever. I've tried many of their meats and have now upgraded to their aged beef. Oh my.....if you don't know...now you know! Get in there and give this place a go! You won't be disappointed. Really high quality products at a reasonable price. 60 day aged steaks to crave for. They have game meats I seen Elk, Bison and Venison . Chicken, ground Chuck ground pork. Personally go way out my way for their products.

Great staff and prices, the steak selection is the best in the city by far, probably for an hour drive in any direction at least. Hangar, skirt, Denver, delmonico, picanha, tomahawk, in addition to the usual suspects (i.e. ribeye, strip, filet) and they also have dry aged beef. Of course there’s also great selection of pork and poultry and all the rest, you should just go visit yourself and you will not be disappointed.

I'm a meat lover. I mean I LOVE meat. And I know how to cook a steak properly, so that wasnt the issue... I was convinced to try their dry aged beef. While not the worst steak by any means, this meat did not live up to the hype... by far. The turkeys we got were juicy and delicious, and they have a great selection of accessories, but if you will excuse the pun, the dry aged beef left a bad taste in my mouth...

If you want good quality meat then this is the place to come to. They offer all kinds of cuts and will do custom orders if given the time in advance. Their beef is out of this world. Go into the store to see the beef hanging and dry aging in their special fridge :) I've used them for making my own homemade dried and cured meats and it always comes out great.

Delicious meats and great staff. Butcher prices are always more than No Frills, but higher quality meats with delicious flavour. They also do regular sales on things like ground beef, hot dogs, and sausages, which are excellent opportunities to fill the freezer.

Ordered on line for delivery. Delivery came a day earlier than noted on web site which is fine, just lucky we were home. But the order was missing items. Tried texting, emailing, social media message......no response. Radio silence. Also called the store twice. First time they took my name and number and said they would call me back....nothing. Called again, put on hold for manager then they disconnected. So beyond disappointed. Trying to support local and have been a loyal customer for years and would recommend to all but no more. I’m out money for products not delivered in a time when our family is furloughed due to COVID and trying to still maintain some quality foods by being careful with who I buy from and then to have this happen and they just simply don’t care is beyond words.

Speaking on the phone with the business was enjoyable and very helpful. We loved the products SO much that we just had another big order sent today. Great selection and decent pricing make this a favorite of mine to buy fresh and frozen meat for myself and my family. The only downside is their service is rather inconsistent, with some staff being warm and helpful, while others being rather cold and unhelpful. I'd recommend VG to anyone, no problem.

I rather eat VG meat than my words. The type of experience one gets to live depends all on communication and education. With a lack of both from me and VG meats, Dave at the Centennial Parkway store changed it all. Thank you. Dave took the time to explain to me what I should have expected from my order of aged steaks and how he ensures that the customer gets the maximum amount of steaks out of the purchase. I have emailed this company 3 times to get some info on their meats (i.e. use GMO grains, truly grain fed etc) with no response which only leads me to believe they are hiding something or not really what they profess to be. So i went in store to get some answers which were only vague and non committal so i def will not be shopping here, if you can't give me clear answers then i can't trust you with my health.

Excellent quality meats. Clean store, very friendly staff. I shop there because the meat is ethically raised and grass fed, no antibiotics or hormones. It is not cheap but they do have sales and you pay for quality. Highly recommend VG Meats!

Went to get 2 sandwiches at the Stoney Creek location, waited in the first line up for 20 mins then the young lady that was preparing the sandwiches .....if she went any slower she’d be going backwards! My husband got so fed up he just left one of the guys came running out with the sandwiches a couple mins later but it was too late we were very upset. So unless you have tons of time to spare...and are extremely patient that the place to go. Yes I realize there is a pandemic but her sorry excuse for customer service was inexcusable.

5* products. -- We have had the tomahawk steaks 4 times now and each one is fabulous -- Last visit we stocked up on sauces, steaks, chicken etc. Everything is top grade. I had to try the cabbage roll soup. So good ! Of course a bit more expensive than other places but worth every penny . Very nice store set up -- Quite like a market -- Very pleasant atmosphere.. Parking no issue at all. You will not be disappointed.

This is not right, covid or no covid. Picked up a beautiful Tomahawk ribeye to have this weekend with my dad and it was hands down the best steak we have ever eaten. The meat was incredibly tender and flavourful. IT came perfectly trimmed already so no extra cleanup was needed. 10/10 I will be buying all of my steaks from VG meats from now on.
