One stop shop for all things meats and cheese as well as delicious Italian muffalatta mix and green tomatoes. Fantastic service and amazing variety! They've been at the Hamilton Farmer's Market for over 55 years for good reason. Their bacon is a must!

Lady ensured us the SOYA brand cheese was dairy free when in fact it's only lactose-free. Careful of lawsuits from people with severe dairy allergies. Know your product.

I have been a customer of Sam's for 35 yrs. They have the best cheese prices, on the best cheese selections, in all of Hamilton. They struggled in the beginning of the pandemic, but after getting a vast education in the early stages and employeeing an employee who has a debilitating Autoimmune Disease and on Immune Suppressing meds, they have completely done a 360. All staff wear face shields, and they have put shields around the entire stand. They are not the only ones in the market only wearing face shields, but they are the only ones who have completely encased their stand, to protect themselves and customers. They have served the community of Hamilton for 65 yrs. Its sad to see so many businesses close within the market since the pandemic began. I will continue to support the remaining ones no matter what.

This is a very troubling experience.I was introduced to this place by a friend who gets his restaurant order filled here.I went there to order for my establishment and upon approaching the counter the male “Jay” was calling his mother Lina a C**t and a b**ch.The behaviour that followed was embarrassing for both myself and the other 5 people also present.When the manager of the market Bill was asked about this his response was “we hear this all the time” The product is good but the public display of family issues should be reserved for another time as it definitely is detrimental to the business.All that aside still excellent product

Always friendly, courteous staff! Excellent selection of cheeses! Very easy to put a great charcuterie board as they have everything and more that you need! The best French Canadian cretons outside of Montreal! They always make you feel like family when you stop by!

I’ve shopped at Sam’s Cheese and Meats for many years and I’m very disappointed by a recent experience. They’re selling bocconcini cheese and labelling it as buffalo mozzarella. Buffalo mozarella is made from buffalo milk and is much higher quality than Bocconcini. A couple of times I’ve asked them to change their sign, as this is very misleading. I’m surprised that a business that has been around this long would engage in this type of thing.

You know it's bs when all employees behind the counter are not wearing face masks. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. It vehemently shows a total lack of respect for me as a now "former" customer and your community as whole. Disappointed to say the least!

I love it when you go to the Hamilton market, and the vendors talk to you and are enthusiastic about their products. I was able to find double smoked bacon just before Christmas. I bought exactly what I needed, no more and no less. Today I purchased old cheddar. There is a great selection of all cheeses, cold cuts and other stuff. I like it when they have freebies out to taste.

Great place one of my fave places I only buy my lunch meat from hear. Great prices and the pepperetts in a bag are great $6 for a bag and you get 12-15 in a bag they have hot or mild. Great selection always friendly staff.

Used to go here often, but never again. The anti-mask propaganda on display was the last straw. They cut the prosciutto way too thick. I ask for it thin, the guys says it's always thin. It's not. They try to sell you precut stuff that's dry. Lots of better places to buy meat and cheese in the market and nearby.

Went here today and the clerk assured me that the soya jalepeno was dairy free, went to nation's grocery store minutes later, seen the same product only to find out it definitely wasn't dairy free... False advertising false sales

I didn't specify that I wanted my meats and cheese slices thin, but I never have to tell them at any other deli I go to. Everything was hack job thick slices.Also no masks while cutting my stuff, which I didn't realize until it was too late. I won't go back here

LOOK, BUT CAN'T BUY!!! My husband and I have tried to buy bacon there 3 times. Each time we have pointed to the selection of bacon that we would like to purchase and each time we are offered something else, (something more fatty). Last time we were told that if she gave us the selection we wanted, it would wreck her display. Talk about disrespecting the customer. We will never return, there are many other vendors who welcome our business and are happy to give the customer what they want. One star only because I had to.
