This market is one of the very best places to buy spices, eggs, meat, and other exotic foods. It’s clean, friendly, quiet, take your time, prices are very reasonable, and the staff are knowledgeable about many ways to cook very interesting foods, from goat to lamb chicken and beef.My favorite store in Halifax

I used to love this place but it seems to have very dishonest new owners. I bought a large pack of lamb chops. It turned out the pack of lamb chops was a layer of lamb chops hiding a layer of cut up pieces of bone and chunks of fat. Incredibly dishonest. I strongly suggest avoiding this place. See attached picture to see what was sold as "lamb chops"

It's a great place to purchase Halal fresh meat, they have their own farm which their meat are come from their own farm that's why their meat is always fresh and the interior of the market is pretty clear. And neat, when you look at the market outside it looks like and old place, but actually it's totally different from inside . I recommend this place to buy meat and groceries. By the way, the lady who works over there (I think she is the owner ) is very friendly and courteous which makes to buy at least one or more stuff there :D (I'm just kidding). Try to go there and let me know if you are agree with me by liking (thumb up) my review .

I have started buying meat from this store for almost a year. The store is very clean and organized. And meat is very fresh and you can get any part of meat you like. They cut meat and bones to any sizes you like. Very trusted and high quality halal meat. High recommended to everyone!

Under new management, I went once and found the collection is great. Found a lot of BD/India/Pak items. As well as items form UAE. The amazing thing was ZamZam water! I was really happy when I found it in Halifax. Most amazing thing to share is, they didn't charge for it! Thanks a lot!!!

We ordered a whole lamb from this company. It is our second time here. The service was friendly. The major concerns are the cleanliness/sanitary along with no masks. What we witnessed was mind-boggling. As we waited for our lamb to be cut, I watched the butcher (no mask) and his coworkers with masks, but down below their mouths. We had a hard time communicating how we wanted our meat cut when we were trying to avoid going close to the counter as the masks were around their chins. One staff member who was cutting cubes of meat with gloves, was asked to pick-up supplies, and watched him leave with the same gloves and return with supplies, and then watched him go back to cut meat with the same gloves. I watched the butcher cut a frozen fish with the same blade he had just cut meat with and did not clean the blade or the area before or after. I watched a staff member cut chicken on a counter then watched them place my lamb on the same counter as the chicken (they did not clean this counter before or after the chicken). Friends of the staff arrived and took the liberty of taking off their masks while they chatted with them. We were standing less than 3 feet apart – we had no place to go as the space is limited. We will not be back to this shop.

This shop used to be located on Gladstone Ave near the Almon St post office. Found the new location purely by chance as I was driving along the Bedford highway. The new premises is very bright, spacious and the owner is a very friendly lady. Always smiling and ready to give advice on the different cuts of meat. The meat is fresh and she will cut it to your specifications. In addition, the shelves are stocked with all kinds of middle eastern goodies. I will definitely shop here again.
