Have visited once. The options are quite extensive for cheese and deli meats and baked goods! Some gluten free options for cookies. Will definitely try to visit again.

I go in here on the regular for lunch, their sandwiches are amazing. Way better than fast food. The treats they have are varied and delicious, it's really hard to choose. Oh and the mini cheesecakes are incredible!!!

I purchased a selection of three different kinds of Halloween cookies and a custom meat and cheese platter for my kid's Halloween/Birthday party. They were a big hit! We also got the cheesecake to put the birthday candles in and it looked amazing and was incredibly decadent, small slices went a long way, very rich! I think the hubby and I might just get another cheesecake just for the adults next time!

Empire cookies here are amazing. It isn't the only reason we go here but it gets us into the door for other things. These have always been a family favourite. We're fortunate that in most occasions they have the number we are looking for. Good selection of goods. Parking can be a bit crazy but this is a good sign. Enjoy shopping here!

The University Square Bakery & Deli makes delicious cannoli, and offers a wide variety of other cream-filled horns and pastries. I tried many different flavours and fillings, and they are all very good.

Well-stocked bakery and deli including GLUTEN-FREE breads from The Gluten Free Bread Co! This store's sweets are excellent, especially the mini cheesecakes and the Date Squares (yum!). Haven't tried the deli meats but the selection looked quite extensive and fresh. Worth the visit.

Stopped in Guelph for work and grabbed lunch here, super friendly staff, deli sandwich was delicious, got some squares to go with and they were awesome as well. Plenty of options of baked goods and deli goods. Great quality, will stop in again for sure.

My girlfriend went today and came back saying a staff member with ginger hair was extremely rude and down right mean, if I was there I definitely would have walked out, if turn over rates are low this place isn’t gonna do well lol

I stopped in because I was craving cannoli. While the cannoli wasn't to my taste, the Eccles cakes (hard to find as another reviewer pointed out) were spot on and the cherry and cheese strudel was excellent.

Honestly... don’t know why I keep trying this place. Sweets/desserts taste like chemicals. Meat is subpar and usually dry. Not overly friendly and bread is just ok. Ugh!

I know a few of the ladies in the store. Before Covid I was what you would call a regular. While I was in the store the owner had asked me to leave because I am exempt from mask restrictions. I have been coming for 5 years now. I understand that every Business man or woman has the right to set their own rules for their business. As well as every individual in this country has the right to exercise their own beliefs. Which goes along with wearing a mask. Just as well as if I was African American in 1950 and would’ve been asked to leave a store. I was treated as an outsider and was asked to leave immediately. Then the police were called on me for breaking the law. I did not break any laws and I left on my own. I have been going to this bakery for 5 years now. I’m aware there are more frequent customers however I have built a relationship with some of the idividuals in there and as I was being asked to leave in a derogatory manor the individuals I did know just out their head down and watched by. University Bakery is taking the next step towards socialistic and derogatory behavior. In a world wear individuals need to be coming together instead of tattle tailing and following. The university bakery square deli is not leading by example but rather following by example. Whether it is the right example or not. They have just thrown out a customer who had been going for 5 years. Loves all of them very much. Really loves the sandwiches. Probably one of their most loving customers of the products they actually make. They just threw him out because of his medical exemptions. Then I ask you who has liberties because University Bakery and Deli certainly didn’t make me feel like a productive member of society. They made me feel like a piece of poo and that is not what anyone should feel.

I used to really like coming here for a nice fresh loaf but I'm a little tired of the treatment from some of their staff.. I'm a university student and it feels like some of the employees would rather I not be there. Hoping to see some change but I’ve found alternatives in the meantime.

So far we've tried several different kinds of bread from University Square Bakery, whatever we get it's always delicious. The bread actually tastes like what they were made of and always addictive. We get loaves of bread once a week or so and we have to stop ourselves to not eat the bread all at once. Staff was also very warm and cooperative. We would definitely revisit wherever we are near University Square.

Delicious sweet treats! Their assorted bars are worth checking out - my favorites the butter tart and carrot cake bars. I’ve tried their sausage roll and their beef and onion bun and wasn’t impressed, however. I’ll just stick to the pastries.

Upon entering the establishment I noted the bakery was redolent with the sweet and zesty aroma of scrumptious cakes, cookies, melt-in-your-mouth pastries, and drool-worthy breads and buns. I was delighted by the visual feast of enticing treats. I find myself unable to resist the lure of these fresh-made delicacies. I eat it all with gusto and fervor bordering on obsession.

Even though I saw a couple of negative reviews, I saw mostly positive so I went ahead and gave this place a try. I'm soooo glad I did, I guess you just can't please everyone! Everything I bought was delicious and my experience was very positive. Such nice staff and selection, very pleased. I will be back again!
