I like Jones No Frills because it is usually stocked with whatever you need. If you can't find the item you need you just ask staff and they will go look for it if they have it they usually bring it right out to you. If there's something wrong with a piece of meat you can bring it to the attention of a staff member and they will either double wrap it or get you a better piece of meat. they always have a courteous smile from anyone to who works there. Some of the best prices in town!!

I thought that this was decent store until I went today and had "Alfredo sos" issue....actually that sos was old 9 days I must go home and back to confirm ( took recipe) that I was there before 10min etc . Beverly who was cashier on No3 at 15:52 today could easy become manager .Other employees could check better products dates especially those you keeping in fridge.

Over the course of Covid19 this has gone from a great place to shop to a really confusing and unorganized mess. You can no longer take a cart into the self checkout area, doesn't matter if your senior/elderly and can't carry the 2 cases of water you came in for. 0 respect for those physically challenged, said worker couldn't even help accommodate just made it a challenge for the customer. With the availability of work the store needs to open more tills Thursday-Saturday and on obvious welfare/disability cheque days to minimize customer wait times.

I don't mind lining up to pay for groceries, especially during covid19, but this grocery store has absolutely the worst set up. You have to go to the very back corner of the store to get to the line! Super frustrating! GO AND SEE HOW OTHER STORES DO IT!!

Great Not Frills location. they often have more rare and ethnic vegetables and dry goods that you can't find at Zhers and other franchises. Like any discount chain, it can get busy and you may have to wait longer than you would prefer for a checkout, but in the grand scheme of discount grocery chains I think this is a great location.

Hello I was shopping at the silver creek location about 130 on june 27th I got my groceries and got back in the car and the realized I had white splotches on my top it smelled of bleach. I get you have to sanitize the carts but BLEACH and no warning this is ridiculous and my comfy shirt at that

Wide variety of grocery products, green vegetables that i liked the most. Price is not as flashy as they claim it to be. I found all sorts of International foods (almost all). The checkout is a big problem. Fewer counters were open and many customers lining up. No self checkout. No visa accepted. Mastercard only please for credits. (Most of the stores seem to have collaborated with some particular financial companies to compel consumers to sign up for their preferred bank cards.) Rest is all Good.

It's a modern No Frills, which means it has a bunch of frills. I don't just mean a pharmacy. Because of all the new Canadians around here, this "no" frills has a heavy selection of international foods. Want daikons? Got them. Chinese bitter melon? Done. Three brands of paneer? Fire up the tandoor! (You DO have a tandoor, right?)

It is among the top 3 places for grocery shopping in guelph as you can get fresh fruits, vegetables, bakery goods and all variety of stuff at a competitive price. Just the space is a bit tight with narrower aisles. The absence of price checkers is also a deterrent sometimes. Still good for weekly grocery shopping.

I haven't been in thus location in 5 years(According to Google). What a change. VERY clean and organized. The meat department was impressive. Along with the isles being organized. It wasn't difficult to find anything!. All in all a great experience. OH and the cashier, He was great too, very helpful. THANKS JONES NO FRILLS FOR A QUICK AND INEXPENSIVE GROCERY TRIP! I'll be leaving my usual shopping spot for Jones No Frills( even though its out of my way) well worth the trip!

The entrance to the mall is always littered with old papers and what I assume are people on hard drugs. Good turnover on produce keeps the selection fresh and abundant. Flyer discounts can be deep so make sure you grab the coin-op cart so you can load up. Cash/debit or MasterCard only. No Visa. If you need an onsite bakery, deli or butcher shop elsewhere, otherwise empty the trunk and load up on all your packaged and frozen groceries. Store is clean and bright, checkouts move fast.

Bought a Mai Thai mix, didn't check the date because I shouldn't have to... It expired months ago. It says it expired September 01 2018. It's JANUARY 26 2019. That is absolutely horrible. Products shouldn't sit on the shelf MONTHS after expiring. What a poorly run store. Can't even make sure people aren't buying expired food. I would give negative stars if I could.

I am used to do my shopping here, but today I left very disappointed as my husband and I had our clothes demaged by the product they are using to clean the carts, bleach water. Why on earth would they do that with us? We complaint and they did not care at all since there was a sign saying that... How many customers will have their clothes spoiled until this pandemic is over and clean carts won't be necessary anymore???? I am not coming back here until they change the way they clean their carts.

This No Frills is clean and well spaced out. They will shop for you but you need to go into the store to pick it up. Recent renovations made the check out conveyor belts very short. Make sure to check busy times. It's a mad house on the weekends during peak hours.

This really is a second rate store. The prices are great! admittedly. But.. last week, I went to buy a PC gift card (Zehrs/No Frills). The various cards (for various restaurants, etc.) are on a small rack past the drug store but the rack is half empty. And there were no PC gift cards at all. I asked a young man working there and he went away and returned to say they did not have any. He seemed nice and tried to help search the rack. What kind of store has no gift cards for its own merchandise? I had to drive to Zehr's to get it, and that store has a huge rack of various gift cards, with *all* of them available. Fully stocked rack. Today, I again went to No Frills to buy something at 10:30am. The cashier (Kelley, 230) was frowning the entire time...as were the other four cashiers I could see. She did not greet me; after the transaction she mumbled something. Do people really not like to work here? By comparison, Zehr's cashiers always greet me and often have a small chat while waiting for the debit machine to finish. This is the norm at most retail stores in north Guelph. I don't know who the Jones (owners) are, but if I owned this franchise, I would be embarrassed at both situations that I encountered.

Today I shopped at No Frills and was not happy with the service that they provided, Firstly they scammed me on cookies 2 different kinds there prices were wrong so then I told the guy he said I WILL CALL GROCERY he paged twice no one came we waited for 8 minutes then I went to get the tags, then he sent me to lane 2 for a refund he had to call another person we waited again a person named Taylor came after 3 pages, she said that I will make one of those cookies free and the other one not she tried to scammer me but when I said review and that they are 2 different tags she change her mind and gave them both to me it still was a waste of time my milk got warm my children were impatient they couldn't wait anymore. It took 13 minutes altogether!

Easy parking, Dollar Tree, PetSmart and Giant Tiger are right next door. A convenient grouping for those without transportation and/or on a fixed income. Their selection is different than the other No Frills. This location occasionally has a selection of vacuum packed cut-off-ends of deli meats from the factory at great prices. The roast beef is heavenly!

This is the go to grocery store in Guelph to get vegetables for ethnic meals. All the different fresh vegetables and canned goods are catered to the different ethnicities and as such the variety is amazing. Of course, it's No Frills so the prices are excellent.

Really enjoy shopping here at Jones No Frills on Silvercreek. Nothing flashy but the prices are usually better than fair, they do price matching, always lots of in store sales, the produce and meat departments are always fresh and fairly priced. The only negative thing I have to say about my shopping experiences are the staff on the floor are usually not very pleasant to deal with and not very knowledgeable. Other than the floor staff, the pricing and freshness are what keeps me coming back.

Good prices, excellent selection. Lots of "ethnic" brands in addition to PC, no name and name brand options. A good place to go to do your regular shopping plus get all the more obscure options without an extra trip. There's a tonne of turn over in stock and they often can't keep up with it in peak times. Even when every till is open it can take a while to get checked out. But it really is a cheap place to shop overall, not just for loss leaders. It's hard to go to other stores that have such limited selection for items!

New cashier rang in half of my produce items wrong, despite asking me and her co-workers for the names of the vegetables/fruits. There's also some random charges on my bill for "Produce Items" that I can't figure out. I only bought $40 worth of produce, but half the things were scanned wrong... there's about $10 in extra charges. I'm always disappointed with the service and cleanliness at this store. :(

Very poor customer service. I was buying 10 packs of noodles.went to self check out to pay. Somehow pack wasn't scanning so called customer service rep, when he tried scanning, he couldn't scan it either. So he asked me to go to regular check out lane. To go to regular register, he asked me to line up again. I told him, I already lined up, was already at self check out, still he send me to line again.

Would seriously avoid shopping there. Very old and outdated store. Definitely needs new flooring as there is many patches, scratches and is very uneven to push a cart on. Isles are very dark and narrow. Often unclean conditions in all departments. Old cash registers that are often falling apart and debit machines are slow. Rude staff that often complain about their jobs on cash in front of customers. Interesting as I never see the owner around making any changes.

Most annoying store ever. They only price match specific stores. They won't price match Real Canadian Superstore although they are all owned by Loblaw's. Makes no sense. I visited the location Wednesday afternoon and only had a few items. I proceeded towards the self scan area which was empty. Two employees were working in the area. I was abruptly told "NO SHOPPING CARTS IN THIS AREA." So what am I supposed to do with my cart? Should I carry items like milk, cases of pop, etc. around the store by hand just so that I can use the self scan. The "supervisor" on duty was losing his mind because I asked if I could push my cart aside and use the self scan as there was NO ONE in the area. I was informed that I had to wait in line for a cashier if I had a shopping cart. Not worth the hassle. I'll take my business elsewhere. Worst grocery store and staff ever encountered.

Staff that's supposed to be helping customers with check out are very rude. If you don't like helping customers maybe you shouldn't work in customer service. I simply asked which line was for check out...and was told "well if you want to do self check out it's right there" I explained there was a line, am I to join the line? Again a rude response. "Like I said go ahead..it's right there" ok thanks? There was an older gentleman In front of me, same thing "do you want it or not" ....the store itself is nice and organized but the customer service killed it for me.

The store is clean and tidy. The shelves for products, fridges and freezers are well laid out. I like the new fridges for milk, cheese, sour cream and eggs. So much better than what was there before

Carts only available in parking lot, cost 25 cents to unlock, you can only exit through an open till (a pain when you don't have a purchase), the store always seems unkept and staff is unfriendly. Prices and selection are good. The parking lot is a mess with the construction of a new building. Parking aisles dead end with no room to turn around and pedestrians walk in front of your car so often you stop 4 or 5 times in 30 feet. It's my last choice for grocery shopping.

The staff are hard to find anywhere outside produce (produce staff are amazing though). The cashier's are NOT properly trained on price matching and couponing policy. Cashier's also don't understand when you have a LARGE order it's better to temporarily close your till than to leave it open (EVERY other grocery store will do this) & have people angrly waiting because they didn't know the person ahead would be a long price match & coupon purchase. Many of the cashier's are mouthy when trying to correct them on the policy as well. I now try to avoid this store as much as possible which is so frustrating because it IS my closest No Frills & it would be super convenient to be able to shop there. However I don't appreciate staff telling me on repeat I'm wrong, refusing to call a manager & only calling when I tell them that I will walk out and leave them to put all my groceries back. The customer service is horrendous. It's sad when a customer KNOWS your policies & rules better than your staff. However I shouldn't be punished for that. Disgraceful.

I've been a customer with this store for years, from groceries to prescriptions but all that is gonna change. It's started with pharmacy taking forever with my prescription and too top it off I was picking up my prescription with a grocery cart because I have back problems so I have to have something to help me while walking into the store, I picked up a pack of ground beef and I figured I would go through self checkout as I always did with my cart ,but she stopped me and said you can't come through here with the cart ,I then said how am I suppose to leave the store I said I want to check out the Ground beef here she said you can't bring the cart through so I didn't want to go to regular checkout there were big lineups so I said I've been through here many times with a cart anyways I left the beef and my cart and walked out it is my last time ever going into that filthy store ever again I don't trust there Meats anyways don't know why I was buying meat there ugh. Thier customer service wasn't always that good and now it has gotten worse

Extremely long line to get to a check out. Wrapped around down the frozen food aisle I had two items. I was going leave but walked up the aisle to enter self check out. I'm the only one.One employee standing there directing customers to cashiers. Asked employee if self check out was open. Answer. yes. Ask, ok to proceed. Yes. Zero focus on customer needs or service to assist or direct people to self check out.

Unfortunately, this store does not follow the "won't be beat" slogan and has on numerous occasions declined price matching other retailers. Another issue with this store is the availability of sales items advertised in the flyer. One previous offer was the President's Choice 100% Pure Maple Syrup at a discounted price for 3 days if you were a member of the PC Optimum program. This was advertised on the front page of the flyer. I went to the store on the first, second and last day of the 3 day sale and was told by staff that they did not receive any stock. Can you call this False Advertising?

Staff are NEVER around when you need them. Cashier's are NOT properly trained in price matching, coupons, the rules & SCOP. When an override is called for it shouldn't take 10+ minutes to get answered. Especially when the people who are able to do it are standing around doing nothing. I know how Loblaws owned stores are run & this one needs a LOT of work. Also stock is almost ALWAYS an issue! Super frustrating. Products are not properly labeled. Owner NEVER seems to be around when I ask to speak to him.

This location offers a wide variety of produce and other ethnic products that many other grocery stores here in Guelph, do not. Items like tamarillos, plantain, bok ckoi, and gailan are all regular finds. The produce section is so large and expansive that we've even seen restaurant kitchen staff in there, on more than one occasion, stocking up on really affordable staples. The vast freezer sections also boast an impressive variety of items and ethnic items, like burritos, samosas, pierogis, flat breads, naan, chestnuts and water chestnuts - in addition to frozen vegetables, fruits, meals and quick heat items. The store has also recently added a designated healthy options and gluten free section. In the middle ailes you can find beans, pasta, rice, sugar, flour, oils and vinegars all offered at reasonable price points in a variety of quantities from a variety of suppliers. This location also offers a pharmacy, wine retailer and PC banking. The one thing that you should know is that this store does not currently accept Visa - if you are planning to pay with credit card. This location is regularly busy and though Saturday is often the most hectic, staff are consistently helpful.
