I used to shop at Fresh Co quite often prior to becomming a mother. They are located close to me, are relatively inexpensive and offer price match. HOWEVER, I will NEVER again shop at the Speedvale location.Arrive at Fresh Co with my baby, enter store when I realise I have to pay for a cart, wait in line just to get change (been a while since I had been there didn't remember my change). Go back outside put my change in a cart push it and carry my son inside store only to realise that the safety clasp doesn't work to buckle child in. Say" for god sake!" To then have another mother tell me, that most of them are broken, thats why she goes for the smaller carts. Push the cart back outside plug it in to get my quarter back. carry my 23lb baby (who has now been on my hip about 10 min and I've got no grocery shopping done yet) over to where the smaller carts are put him in try to buckle him and the clasps are broken on those carts as well. The only two accessible. Carried my baby back across the parking lot (cause of course they dont have any spots for parents with young children or expecting mothers) put him back in the car and drive down speedvale to FoodBasics After wasting 15-20 min of my life, and now dealing with a fussy child. (As annoying as it is anywhere to have to find change to get a cart now at a time when hardly anyone carries cash, and of course there is no change machine to make it easier if you do have some change but not the correct change. Note to store, if someone wanted to steal a cart I don't really think the 25 cent fee would stop them from stealing one)

Not stores fault, but that parking lot is very haggard, too tightly layed out & all the sidewalks and curb islands have no radius to them. parking lot would not pass code, as a new proposed parking lot. i prefer deal hunting @ the nearby Zehrs, for an a classier, more smooth/enjoyable overall experience.

This store is cozy and friendly with a well-organized layout. It's usually pretty clean. The prices are often good although I find that on meat and produce they fluctuate wildly. Sometimes I'll hit a good day and buy everything, others I'll walk out empty-handed. Most stores are like this but I find Freshco more so. The staff are super friendly, but there aren't enough of them so there's big lineups at rush hour. I avoid this store between 3 pm and 6 pm and on Saturdays. All in all it's one of my favourite stores in Guelph!

They publish some item in their flyer at discount, and when you go there to buy that item, you find that it’s already out of stock. And they won’t be able to restock that item for next 4 days. It has some good sales on, but remember that it doesn't have actually departments for fresh fish and meats, or even a seafood counter. Its straight up packaged everything minus the fruits and veggies. It's good in a pinch if you need to get something.

One of the best grocery stores in Guelph. Always well-stocked, organized and helpful staff. For the size of this place, the selection and the prices can't be beat. This is my go to grocery store. The selection is amazing - I've found international foods here you can't find anywhere. My only caveat is always check the best before dates: I've bought things here numerous times that are well past their bb date, or a day or two away from it (for full price). Otherwise, it's the best grocery store in Guelph.

Oct. 20 update: Once again, I realized that I find it too difficult to find specific items at this store; because the store layout simply does not make sense. And the markings as to what is in each aisle are not adequate. I will be going back to shopping at the nearby Food Basics. Sept. 9 update...wow, the aisles are narrow ... when one person stops to look for something, no one else can get by and you get traffic jams. Much less of an issue at Food Basics. I shopped here March 29 and was pleased with the precautionary measures used at this store. And they were not out of stock on bananas, bread, most produce, eggs, etc. Maybe they ARE out of stock on some days but it was fine on Sunday morning.

Today I road my bike to freshco wearing my backpack to store my groceries on my ride home. As I walked in the store, the employee told me I can't enter the store with my backpack! I shop here 3 times a week and this is just ludacris! After speaking to the manager, he said it's not right however it's the NEW OWNERS WHO ARE MANDATING A NO BACKPACK POLICY! Entering this store for the first time I was astounded at the amount of international produce and products ! The limit to buy anything is 12. Even regular priced items. if you would like to get lemon and it is priced by piece you can only get 12. You guys check your receipts these guys are thieves. I have gone there about 7 times and 3 times they charged me for some thing I didn't even have and every time I have gone back they dont even apologize for their mistakes. I have also seen them sell expired food and I have called the health inspection and have saved my recipt and items I have purchased that were expired. The manager has no ethics on how to talk to people. She behaves like a junkie and the worker are rude and racist. If you guys can't be nice to your customers then you should not be working anywhere with people. The only reasone I gave them one star is cause I couldn't post the review without selecting a star.

I thought I had left my wallet at the store today after shopping. I returned to the store hours later in a quiet panic. I saw Mark in line purchasing his own groceries and approached him about it. Once done in line he asked me more details and went upstairs to check video. He was able to verify I took it with me which helped me think straight . I returned home to find it in .my gym bag. My wife went the the store on Speedville yesterday and in front of her there were 2 - 20ish men one with a face mask and one without. When it came time for them to enter the Freshco employee allowed both in without being asked by the employee asking the one without a mask to put one on. This is the law in Wellington County and the Freshco management needs to educate their employees. I hope this does not happen again.

First time at the store. Prices were high, far higher than they should be. I could not find any local produce, and to top it all off the cashier did not even pack all my groceries into the bag. Not very nice to come home without some of the items you paid for. Will not be shopping at this store after an experience like this.

This place is well stocked and very clean. I always see the store owner taking pride in her store as she replenishs the shelves. The ladies at the cash are always friendly and cheery. I also like the fact that this is one of the grocery stores you can still price match.

The store itself is good. Just watch for vehicles when crossing. People don't stop. I got stuck by an SUV back the beginning of February and just got home last week. Broken bones and infections. Still need in home nursing and physio.

As Vegans we stick mostly to the produce areas of the store. I appreciate that Fresh consistently offers bean sprouts and other sprouts (like alfalfa) (sprouts can sometimes be a challenge to source at other grocery stores,) and that everything is at a great price point. We find grapeseed oil (and other oils) and some gluten free options at this retailer, and we notice that the freezer section is expanded and now includes things like cashew ice cream and other dairy alternatives - not just soy options. There are also extensive ethnic foods sections in the store (freezer and aisles). The store is consistent in its level of cleanliness and efforts to be inclusive. Price point, gf products, dairy and wheat alternatives, a fairly sized produce section a clean store and lots of parking and it is accessible and they have an in store washroom, in case you drank a little too much tea before you left the house.
