Our family has been buying from Dumouchel since I was a young girl and I'm 58 yrs old. The shop used to be across our house on Mona St. My mom bought from them on a regular basis and we have all continued. The Dumouchel family has always been wonderful people to talk too when you go to the shop. Any questions you have will be answered with a smile. They care. They also make you feel like family. We never had a problem with the meat in any way. Last year I bought my Christmas turkey from them and it was delicious. I'm going to order another one this year. On Thanksgiving I bought a ham. It was delicious. Everyone were asking me where I bought my meat and I was happy to recommend Dumouchel.

If I could give no stars I would. Every time I have received meat here it has been frozen.even when asking for fresh. My meat taste like cat food and smells like the same. My brother got food poisoning from the meat order I had paid 230$ for so we decided to try his meat order which he paid 155$ for. My kids who are 2, 5 as well as myself ate a steak from here and received food poisoning from it. I had 3/4 of a meat order left after throwing out a roast and 3 pieces of chicken. My brother as well had to throw put 1lb of ground beef he was making meatballs with for my 5 year olds birthday dinner. We called and asked for our money back and agreed. We got there and he only allowed 100$ each. My brother has missed 3 days of work at 75$ a day and my children and I have missed school and daycare going on 2 days now. I am disgusted and would not recommend purchasing meat from these people. I spend 230$ every 2 months and have had issues with it being frozen and again smelling like dog food. For someone that spends over 1200$ a year at their meat shop you would think they would refund the money after telling me they would. I will never go back and will be advising all my friends and family not to as well.

The meats are good quality but whoever is in charge of packing deliveries always substitutes pork for chicken because it saves them money... Shotty business practice was a long time customer it was good in the beginning but at the end it happened every time. Would not recommend freezer orders... In store cuts for larger cuts are great though

As I can not wear a mask, I phoned before going to Dumouchel deli... And I believe I spoke with Ian, I was told yes they honor our rights and freedom. When I got there, there was absolutely no issue. My wife and I were served with professional service. As it was late in the day, the Hamburger meat tray had run low, there wasn't enough left to fill our order. The Machine was all cleaned and at nearly 4pm on a Saturday, they started up the machine to ground us 20 more pounds. Now that's service. The hamburger meat we bought, some of it got cooked the next day and let me tell yeah, the meat is fantastic, we also cooked the minute steak we bought and wow. The best minute steak I've eaten. We also took some of the Dumouchel cooked pies home, the cherry pie is just fantastic, absolutely delicious. The service and the atmosphere is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this Deli. Thank you to all the staff. Denise and Fern.

I disagree, I have had a number of service issues, keep asking them to cube the chicken breast a certain size and what i get is no where NEAR what I requested..I end up having to cut each piece down which is a waste of my time..the whole reason I called them in the first place was to SAVE me time

I bought some polish sausages and they were packaged on September 25 and it is October 10 when I bought them. So they were like 16 days past the package date. I just hope the Turkey and chicken I bought their are not expired because I will be asking for my money back or calling someone to look into this business because that is disgusting and gross to get something that is 16 days old. Don't get me wrong the people there are nice respectful and they help you when you can't find what you are looking for. But I think they need to re-evaluate there stock to see if anything is older then 10 days I think.

I've been getting my meat orders from Dumouchel ever since Weatherall's closed 2 and a half years ago. No complaints; a very good alternatve especially after disappointment with Muckleston and Brockwell on Beechwood. It's also far less expensive than Saslove's. They give you a lot of deli meat too if you ask for it. As well, their Italian, Polish and bratwurst sausages are great too. It really shows that Dumouchel has been around for decades; they know what they're doing.

I've never had a bad cut of meat from this store going on 8 years. My wife says their medium ground beef is a lot leaner than most big name grocers Lean ground beef. When I heard that Bernie was selling the business, I was a little worried in regards to who was going to purchase & take over due to the excellent quality of the products sold. When I heard that it was Ian Slipacoff, I was relieved as I have worked in the meat industry for many years on the Byward market at my father's butcher shop & Ian's family name was well known in the meat business. To this day, the products have been excellent & I commend Ian & his staff for continuing to provide the community with excellent customer service, high quality meats & a variety of other products. Hier après-midi, j’ai fait un arrêt chez Dumouchel. Je cherchais une dinde fraîche de 20 lbs pour l’action de grâce. La jeune dame à la caisse m’a dit, Monsieur, il n’y a pas de problème! J’ai immédiatement passé ma commande. Après avoir fait la connaissance de quelques employés, tous très courtois, j’ai eu l’agréable plaisir de discuter avec Alex.
