I always buy cookware from this place and look for sale price. There is always something on sale. Lacoste is a good quality frying pan. But T-Fal is not good for me. Variety of cookware is available always. Their garden section is very good and big too. Sports items are also available and have a good selection. Automobile section is only open for limited time. Need to schedule a head of time. We always buy auto cleaning accessories from here. Hardware accessories collection is good too. Good customer service. Store is always very neat and clean. Lots of parking lots including para parking. There are few automatic checkout which I don’t like. Recommend others to try this store

Go to McMurray Auto! It's a private mechanic shop run by a man named Jim. He is very honest and his shop does great work. McMurray auto is at 8332 Manning Avenue on the corner of Manning avenue and Queen St. just behind Rona. They have been servicing my family's vehicles now for years and we have never had to go for the same problem twice!

When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

Cute little small town Canadian Tire store in Glace Bay. Can Tire doesn't have that great a reputation when it comes to car repair, but not this one! I take my favourite cars to get worked on and they never let me down!

I rolled into fort mac with a disastrous car issue from another mechanic shop on canada day, next day I called all around town and apparently not a single shop seemed to have any time or mechanics available due to a long weekend (weird for a friday...) and after trying everywhere I gave the auto repair office at this location a call and they booked me in same day and had the issue located and parts ordered to have it fixed by saturday. Very professional shop, fantastic customer service with the offering of different price points for options of repair, fantastic choice for stranded travellers or locals in need, of all canadian tire locations this one can certainly truthfully claim to be Canada's garage.

Do not even try to get help from the staff they are basically trained to avoid you. To get a job here I think you must need to be an expert at avoiding eye contact, acting busy, and finding backalleys to sneak your way through the store as to not interact with customers. There's like two good workers there and the rest might as well be on nightshift when there's no customers around.

Why oh why are there all foreigners working in customer service. I am happy that a lot of people from third world countries have an opportunity to make their lives better in Canada but gosh dang it teach them some proper English and communication skills. It's frustrating to talk to the people and I know their trying their best. I blame the management for not making sure the people that work with the public can do their jobs properly by speaking well. This is a problem all over Fort Mac.

Took it there for fuel pump in july, idiots fixed battery and radiator for starting failer. Coat 1500$ 1 week later starting failer again and was told bring it back to fix it for free. So stupief me trusting these places took iy back. No im told t ignition module price 816$. 1 day later and 2300$ for my 700s car, starter failer. Fml call and im told it is the fuel pump.. Fo i take it back no way. Ill buy a new car. Doubt that they will do right and not guess again. Lesson learned dont trust Canadain tire.

these guys are thieves. had engine problems, slipped timing belt, they supposedly inspected my valves, and told me was no valve damage, proceeded to change timing belt and engine still wont turn over after repair. They then told me I need a new engine, and charged me $1500+ for changing the timing belt . AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Just Bought a drill from here that was on sale. Flyer explained a $20.00 difference when back down. Believe it or not a 0.2ah difference in 2 of the same drills is a $20 difference but the two drill cost the same amount amount Reg. price. Costomer services says its a different drill and they know more. Correct me if I am wrong, but Amps per Hour is the Batteries Not the drill?

Decent selection of items you probably need, but the staff are essentially useless. On two separate occasions I have been told they didn't carry what I was looking for, only for me to go find it myself. When you ask where to find something they usually just point the direction, or if they don't know just simply give up. Also it wouldn't hurt to have someone with a little less attitude working at the customer service desk, the one lady was lovely but she was definitely compensating for the other woman who was quite rude to us while we were just trying to make a simple return.

Operator number 2716 Float : 001 she racially profiled me because i am black i have everything on tape so ill advise her not to deny it. Also release your surveillance footage to the police because they will be in touch as well as human rights alberta .I have been shopping at canadian tire since i was a very little girl. I am disgusted and appalled i was treated this way. I bought some sheets and cutlery the day before , i went in to get more sheets and exchange the cutlery i had to another type as i changed my mind. Knowing absolutely well that you cannot get through customer service except you have paid for your product. I paid for my items which totalled 39.11 I STILL HAVE THE RECEIPT IF YOU NEED PROOF. i asked how i can exchange my item and i was directed to the customer service desk. She asked for my ID I KNOW IT IS REQUIRED SOMETIMES BUT THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME. I FELT IT WAS WEIRD AND ASKED IF THATS THE PROTOCOL SHE SAID YES AND FOR SECURITY. SHE WENT AHEAD TO EXCHANGE IT. NOW I HAD A BASKET WITH WHEELS AND THE NORMAL PROTOCOL IS THAT YOU CANT TAKE THE BASKET OUT OF THE STORE. I HEEDED TO MOVING MY ITEMS INTO MY SHOPPING BAG FROM THE BASKET AND SHE STARTED YELLING AT ME ASKING IF I HAD PAID FOR THE ITEMS , HIGHLY EMBARRASSED I TOLD HER TO GO ASK THE CASHIER I JUST CAME FROM AND PROCEEDED TO CONTINUE PACKING MY ITEMS INTO THE BAG , SHE WENT ON TO FURTHER EMBARRASS ME TELLING A GUY PASSING BY THE NAME JORDAN TO SEARCH ME BEFORE LEAVING, I WAS ACTUALLY WAITING FOR HIM TO SEARCH ME BUT HE WAS ALSO EMBARRASSED AND MENTIONED HE JUST GOT HERE AND DOESNT WANT TO BE INVOLVED, I ASKED HER WHY SHE WAS PROFILING ME because at this point it was obvious , she was So angry WITH A BLOOD SHOT LOOK IN HER EYES. NOT TILL A GIRL WHO HAD SEEN ME PAY FINALLY TOLD HER I HAD ALREADY PAID PROBABLY TO SAVE ME FROM FURTHER EMBARASSMENT AS AT THIS POINT EVERYONE WAS LOOKING AT ME. Prices on shelves aren't updated. Had to wait 15 mins only for the guy to say the price listed on the shelf is wrong. Also no one knows anything about the products, most people are clueless and can barely speak English. Yikes Canadian tire.

Last year I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire repair around 8:30-9 am, it wasn't ready until about 5-6pm the next day. BUT I recently took in my car for an oil change and tire repair a month or so ago and had fantastic, quick service. The lady at the service desk was one of the sweetest, most friendly people I've encountered and was very knowledgeable and understanding. They also offer a loyalty program with oil changes and I've found them to be the cheapest in town for oil changes as well. I really had a great experience this time so I'm hoping that my bad experience last year was not a good representation of their normal service.

I've been looking around for weeks for a decent balcony set. I finally found one I liked at Canadian Tire. Ordered it on-line last night (said there was only a couple left in stock in the Fort Mac store) and was to pick it up the very next day. I waited for the confirmation email prior to picking it up, but instead I get an email that says "your order has been cancelled as per your request". WHAT? I just ordered it, I most definitely did NOT cancel it! After calling the customer service number, I find out that Joseph from the Fort Mac store cancelled my order stating I called in to cancel the order (a bold face LIE!) and there was basically nothing that could be done except to go physically to the store and pick one up. In a normal city, that's what I would have done in the beginning anyway. But, as people in Fort Mac know, things disappear super quickly and you have to grab it up when you see it. Now, on-line, it says there's no stock left (shocking). I phoned the store directly and had to leave a message for this Joseph. If he calls back I'd be shocked. Thanks Canadian TIre...way to screw up, not take accountability (blame the customer for YOUR mistake) and not rectify the situation. I wish there was a negative star.

Worse store in the country by far. Will not price match even though the signs are plastered all over the store. Apparently there policy is to match paper flyers only. Who in this electronic age uses paper flyers other than Crappy Tire? Horrible customer service. Went to purchase a lawn mower and they were $60 more than their competitors. Showed them the online flyer from the competition, they said it wasn't any good. Had to be paper. Wasn't an online only store either. Hopefully their archaic business practices will put them out of business. I for one will never spend a cent there again. Would give a -5 star rating if I could. Spend your money elsewhere and hopefully they will learn.

Love Canadian Tire for many reasons but mainly for being Canadian and having excellent deals with items going on sale from 50-75% off...craziness. The Glace Bay store is quite small and seems overly packed for the size so it can be a pain to find many items but it is still laid out well and aisles are marked properly. If all else fails, the workers there are a great help and can find what you are looking for.

Another terrible experience from CT. Parts desk is staffed by lazy high schoolers who can't bother to help and send you off with incompatible parts. I always try to support local, but this was the last time. You are going to continue to lose business to Amazon until you realize that people want good service from people they can trust. EDIT: Response to owner's response. I called the number provided but it only reached an automated response with options to check my CT card balance, online shopping inquiries, etc. No option to speak to an actual person or voice my concerns. I called the store customer service who could not provide me with a corporate customer service number. Instead they said they would transfer me to the General Manager, but I was actually passed off to the department manager I had previously spoken to. To be fair, she listened to my concerns but said there was nothing she could do for me. She said she would pass along my concerns to the GM and Owner/Operator and that I should hear for them in the next day or 2 to see if there was a way to resolve the issue. It's now been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. This was your last chance CT and you blew it. You won't be getting any more of my business, in this location or anywhere else.

Every time I’ve ever been here for service on my vehicles, even if it’s just to get winter tires put on loose rims, I’ve been disappointed. Unfortunately, the service standards in Fort McMurray are already exceptionally low, but this place disappoints people with even the lowest of standards. I’ve given Canadian Tire 3 chances hoping I had just been unlucky, but I’ve yet to have a positive experience.

I have no idea what’s happening at the parts/battery area. They make you stand in line for 20 minutes to help get you what you need just so you stand in another line to pay which took another 20 mins, JUST TO PAY, while watching others get helped in front of me, not to mention the parts manager wasn’t too helpful, He literally brang someone that I haven’t seen before in the 40 minutes I’ve stood there waiting right at the front of the line. There’s no way he was there first. Very poor system they have in that area. Complete waste of time just for a battery.

This location falls way behind all other Canadian tire stores I've been to. It is extremely disorganized, they stock is all over the place and makes it hard to maneuver through the isles. The staff seem irritated to perform any type of customer service, and really don't seem well trained. It has not gotten any better over the 8 years I've lived here. The shop is decent thus the 2 star rating.

Used to do 99% of my shopping at Canadian tire, that was before I moved to northern Alberta and had the pleasure of experiencing this location. Store is messy and cluttered, staff is almost useless and I've been told on several occasions they don't have a product in stock when it cant be found on the shelves but the website list it as in stock at the locations. I don't know how a company can run for so long with such horrible inventory tracking.

Unlike almost every other Canadian tire I’ve been too, the service is brutal in this store. Sat for 30 mins after asking for help to get an item from the locked section by the till. Lady at the till sits there useless and doesn’t even look to help when the stores empty and the help we were promised never showed. Walked out and not coming back unless it’s a last resort

I've never seen a Canadian Tire with such poor stock levels and little knowledge from staff. Forget the parts counter if there is a line up -- Roughly 30-45 minutes per customer in line if you're willing to wait that kind of time. Just go to Napa. Worst in the country i'd say, well the worst I've seen and I've been in a lot of Canadian Tire's across the country.

Brought my vehicle in for new tires, wheel alignment and to inspect/replace tpms. Got my vehicle back this evening received keys from parts counter (the auto service counter was closed). When I got in my vehicle and started it, surprise!!! The low tire pressure alarm appeared. When I proceeded to drive home knowing the service desk was closed I noticed the steering wheel was off center (turned to the right) while driving straight. Now, to waste a morning bringing it down and getting it figured out again. Shops/techs should be charged and payable to the customer the same amount per hour of time wasted for rework, maybe quality of work will improve!!! Update. When I brought my vehicle back they had to reprogram the tpms. No mechanic available for 4 days, but an attendant in the garage was in contact with the mechanic and said they couldn't do anything about the alignment due to a level kit on the vehicle and said my truck needed aftermarket bushings to get it in tolerance. I brought my truck to ford due to the lack of confidence at the shop. Ford checked the alignment on my vehicle and found that it wasn't adjusted correctly. Ford made the required adjustments to the alignment. They also corrected my steering wheel. All I asked in return from customer support was to cover the cost of the alignment from Ford seeing how I already paid them. They can't seem to cover that. I do not reccomend this shop for any automotive work!

Website and their computer says they have 4 of a certain winter tire in stock. 10 minutes in the back to find they only have 3. Website and their computer says they have 10 rims in stock. 10 minutes in the back says there's none in sight. Last update on that rim was in 2015. He claims they may be in the sea can but can't check until tomorrow.

Clean store with helpful friendly staff. Check if it's in stock in Glace Bay or you'll have to go to Sydney where they have a much bigger store with a bigger selection. Get hardware at Cameron's Castle by the bayplex. It's much cheaper there.

Poor visit. Went to buy luggage that was suppose to be on sale and i ask the worker that was looking after that section and he said uf it have a yellow on sale tag then its on ssle but hey didn't even have them placed right. I picked up luggage that the sale price said 89 dollars but when I got to the check they it wasn't on sale and told me it was 199 dollars. After trying to explain that the tag said it was on sale but they wouldn't listen so I just walk out leaving everything that I had pick up behind.

I went to this store to pick up an online purchase. Eventhough I got the receipt, I was grilled with questions and given a hard time just to pick up my item. The customer service staff is garbage. Very poor. I will not be going to this store anymore.

First I get winter tires and rims. They book me in for an alignment. Whoops rebook for next day, get double booked. Come back 3rd time and they are missing one of the rims... Now the manager steps up, apologizes and offers a discount... ok fine go back 4th time and there on....... Fast forward to getting summer tires back on and a couple of wheel studs break... the truck is 3 years old. That shouldn't happen. Ok... Just fix it. 3 1/2 hours later they tell me they had to remove the rear diff to get at the studs..... Naturally I call dodge to ask if this is true... dodge confirms they do NOT need to touch the rear diff to get at the studs.... clearly Canadian tire has no idea what they are doing ... and now I'm worried something will go wrong with my rear diff and it will cost me $ I don't have ... Don't bring your vehicle There!

Canadia Tire is my favourite toy store. I bought a lot of tools and other stuffs at the store in Calgary. When moved in here, I was very happy when I saw the store sign. I normally buy tools when they are on sale. It saved me a lot of money by the deal and by I did some works myself. The staffs there are helpfull. The return policy make you to buy things without any warry. So I trust this store and highly recommend.
