While I’ve never really had a problem with anything from Rainy River Meats, just this week my family had purchased some walleye from a store in Fort that carries Rainy River Meats, clearly labeled as Rainy River Meats on the packaging. Upon opening the packaging to cook this walleye this weekend, EVERY PIECE WAS FULL OF BONES. Every piece! We literally had to go through each piece and cut out the bones, taking much much more time out, and even at that we still had some fine bones throughout the fish! Very disappointing considering the price that was paid for this walleye and I really, really think a store knows better than to put fish like that out for sale! What if a family with little kids in tow did not this, cooked and served the walleye this way?! My family has eaten fish many, many times, and haven’t ever had this happen. Next time my family and myself will steer clear of walleye from Rainy River Meats. Very, very disappointed. Not much fun eating walleye when you’re wondering if you’re going to come across some bones upon trying to enjoy it (which we did.) For this, I rate you one star. A store knows better than to sell customers that kind of product! Get your act together!
