I have been a big fan on Rowe farms for a few years now. Peter, the butcher, is always compliant of what I ask...whatever marinade on whatever cuts I need. Service with a smile. The prices, yes, higher than NoFrills, that 's for sure. I am super happy to pay for ethically raised animals without a trace of hormones or antibiotics. I strongly support sustainability and the effort that comes with. Always a price to pay. It's minute in the grand scheme of things. I can't help but wonder about people that give bad reviews and that complain about them not opening their doors early. These people might not get paid until they open the door. If this was at your place of work, do you want to start early? I certainly do not. There are tons of coffee shops around that you can pop your head in for a few minutes to get out of the -7 degrees until the opening hour has arrived.

Great selection of local meats. The freezer section is full of other local products. Our household loves the penguin pasta mushroom raviolis. They often have deals on their rotisserie chickens.

Firstly, I want to say I have been to couple of Rowe farms stores in the GTA and this is far by the best store I have been to. I went there a two days back and with the health & safety protocols in place I get the limit of customers in place, this store went above and beyond to ensure every customer is following their safety protocols in place. I met a great team out here who are so lively and energetic especially given the times we live in. They are like a musical band entertaining their customers and really cheering up their customers. I really wanted to meet the Manager after I did my shopping so I could give her my experience and to my surprise it was this beautiful girl Montyce indeed the Manager who was serving me with an amazing smile and asking me during the process how my day was and if I had any plans over the weekend. Who asks you these questions these days when all people want to do is run away thinking the virus is here. Even before I could leave I met another sweet girl Sydney behind the counter and her smile just made my day. These two girls really helped me get my meat and gave me a lot of options and i really said yes to everything. Montyce you are a phenomenal Manager to this beautiful team. Your store is small but has an amazing vibe of positivity and to me this is my second home for my shopping. I stay about 1/2 hr. away but I have my business closer to your store so your team will be seeing me more often. Look forward to meet the rest of the crew. Happy Holidays. Thank you!!

This place use to be grate......NOT ANY MORE..I was there last week and the service has gone way down the lady that runs the place seems angry and distracted with other things. Another worker i think her name is Laura is even worse she is rude and speaks bad about customers like they cant hear. Its as she doesn't want people in the store. She made me feel very unwelcome and that was the worst. I have never been made to feel that way and i have been a customer for years. I have also noticed with this bad attitude that the meat in the counter is also not as grate as it use to be looks dry and old at times. I will not be returning to this place until thing change if they ever do. I just cant believe how 1 employee Laura has made this place feel so unwelcoming

Rowe Farms always has a great selection of fresh and frozen meal ideas. I trust the quality of their meat, because they support local. My kids love their frozen meatballs, and now we enjoy their frozen pizzas too. Their fresh hamburger patties are delish, and when I don't have time to prep a meal from scratch, I really appreciate being able to find quality products locally. I like to grab and go from the hot selections too! A win for busy families and those looking for healthy quality choices!

Quality, ethically sourced meat. I've been there maybe 10 times, and was satisfied each time. They have a bit of everything, but it's possible that they might have sold out of something if I'm being really specific. Not a big deal though, always worth it.

I've recently come to make this store one of my regular weekly shopping trips. In addition to amazing varieties of meat and poultry products, I love that I can get fresh organic Scottish salmon anytime. Their BBQ chickens are excellent and they stalk good quality produce and frozen foods - including my favorite local pizzas from Pizza Libretto.

Perhaps new ownership, management or lack of staff? Selection doesn’t always look fresh recently. Friendly faces for the most part and my family can still depend on the rotisserie chickens on lazy weeknights. Understandably we are all strained on account of the pandemic, however, One gentleman can be a tad abrasive. I had to stop my husband from responding to a rather impolite exchange. Lighten up!

Was shocked and disgusted. There are signs in the windows about no mask, no service. Today I saw an employee pull down his mask, lean into a pram and wave in the face of an infant completely maskless! I was shocked at the lack of judgement. Do better, are we not in a pandamic?

My family has always loved their meatballs. However, in 2 or 3 recent purchases over recent months, we find that grains of rice have been added to their meatballs. Grains made the meatballs tougher to eat. Not cool!

Best place to buy meat in Toronto. I order grass fed ribeye steaks weekly by delivery on the Shopify store. Delivery is done on time and consistently to my building and the delivery people are polite. Greg the store manager is very kind - I had an issue with one of my orders and he resolved it immediately, no questions asked. I appreciate the hassle-free and honest customer service. The goat milk and liver are also great. Prices are quite competitive considering many of the products are organic / grass fed.

I have been shopping at this store for years. I am afraid to go into the store anymore because of the abuse I know I will be suffering. The staff is overly angry and rude, barking at customers (particularly the woman with the ponytail). I don't think I have experienced anything like this ever, anywhere. It's like they don't want people shopping there.

I don’t quite understand all the negative reviews for this store. Recently more than ever I find the staff are friendlier, more helpful and all around happier. I always enjoy the meat and other items I get ( I may have a slight meatball addiction ????). The butchers always guide me well. One in particular is quite blunt and I find it both helpful and refreshing. Young girls at the cash are always sweet. One woman isn’t always in the best spirits, but we all have our days I guess!?

We decided to order meat and arranged for pick up at the Bloor West location. We called on the day it was supposed to be ready and we were told that they would call us when it was ready. The shop called us mid-afternoon to ask if we wanted any items added to our list. We replied "no" and again we were told they would call us when our order was ready. We never heard back from them. We called the store at 5:40pm and the person told us our order was ready but they were closing at 6:00pm sharp. So we didn't get our order that day.

I haven't shopped at Rowe Farms since the end of summer, I love their pre-made burgers and their cooked chickens, and always want to try new things. I have recently been back to the store having resumed work in the west end, and I'm so pleased, the store seems brighter than ever, and a great place to shop! Everything looks so tasty and the place feels safe to shop at. A new employee helped me (I will get a name next time I'm in), she had a red scarf/bandana on and gave me so much advice on how to cook braising ribs (I previously only ever used regular stewing beef), including giving me her favourite recipes. She was so enthuastic about how good they'd be, so I opted for a decadent sticky hoisin and beer based recipe and they turned out AMAZING. It is great to shop at a place where staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about the products they sell, and charismstic too! I love it, makes such a difference!

Consistently horrible service. Rude and impatient when the store isn’t busy to begin with. Went to get milk only but the meat is nothing to rave about either. There are much better butchers in the neighborhood where they have better products and treat you as a neighbour.

Descent selection of meat and produce. However, meat prices are 20%-25% higher that other top butchers such as Sanagan's and Vince Gasparo. 25$/Kg for stew is just not acceptable.

Good Friday early close at 5pm. Probaly should have known better. Showed up at 5:05pm to buy my kids favourite - flat iron steak dinner. Store manager was kind enough to let me in and take the time to clean a flat iron straight from the fridge. Customer service from my local favourite butcher. Love Bloor West Village!
