Very good ma & pa food joint. One of the best "cevapii" place in GTA. The cheese pie or "pita" is done as it is supposed to be done. I can't comment on other things as I only eat cevapi and sirnica and have no need to explore other things :) Furthermore, the roasted lamb you can order in advance is simply THE BEST. It may look pricey to some but go ahead buy NZ lamb in a grocery store and roast it yourself if you know how. Two thumbs up.

Their food here is amazing!! My family and I walk up there every week to get some meat, and it is amazing. My father sometimes gets a roasted lamb head, which is on special once or twice a week every few weeks. He swears up and down it's amazing. I have had their lamb bones, and they are quite good though they are quite expensive. Same as the smoked beef which is also very good but expensive. Also they have a very good smoked sausage which I eat tons of and it's quite good. The veal steak was very good and had lots of flavour. Their best product, of course, is their chevapis, which are amazing and truly a delight. I eat them sliced lengthwise on a piece of bread and it's to die for. There are only a few things in the store that I would recommend not getting. Their cheese is not so good and taste really bad. Their steak is good and thin, though still tough and does not have much flavour. You can get much better steak that is much cheaper elsewhere. Overall, this butcher is high quality though can sometimes be a bit on the expensive end. It's definitely worth a try!

Burek is quite good, especially if you get it while still warm from the oven. Ćevapi decent, but used to be much better. Looks like not always the same person makes ćevapi, cause they can really differ in taste and quality from time to time. They have products from former YU republics and some of it I find overpriced. Starski (Polish supermarket on Dundas), or other European store, you can buy some of the same products 10 to 20% cheaper. They do have nice veal liver and veal. Smoked beef or lamb is pretty good too.

Love this place! They offer all types of meat but I love the sausages, the cevapi the most. Also offers delicious baklavas and other traditional deserts. Also I always take away borek with me for the next day. Parking is easy and the service is fast. Definitely try when nearby!

Really great spot that you would never expect going in. You enter through a small grocery store and you head to the back where you find a small dining area. The cevapi is amazing. If you want the best experience, dine in and get a Jupi to drink (pronounced Yupi. They will laugh at you if you say Jupi). Love this spot. Definitely coming back!

When it comes to Balkans, Mrakovic is without a doubt the most amazing meat, grocery, bakery and take-out restaurant in town. It is a Balkanian superstore in a small little store hidden in the middle of a residential neighborhood. A great grocery, deli and meat store if you crave Eastern Europe style food. The service is friendly-with a bit of language barrier- and the price quite reasonable. The hardest thing is to drive to this store, you may need to use Google Map, but once you arrive, you won't regret it because you just entered a little Eastern European heaven where all your food related cravings from burek, to good lamb or amazing tasty smoked meats, to good ol pita or the good home-made kofte will wait for ya! Want pastry? You got it baby! There small bakery sections if filled with special cookies. You can also find grilled veal here! I got some kaymak as well! It was good!

Shopping here feels like being transported to Eastern Europe. Cevapi is awesome. Lepinja gets fried on the griddle with the fat from the cevapi. Oof, thinking about this place makes my mouth water. Thin aluminum foil paper that they packed my hot burek in was all ripped. Terrible! I had to throw it out as I did not feel safe eating it. Shame that you make good burek, but use cheap paper foil to pack it.

They gave me frozen cottage cheese and called it Kajmak lol. Also the frozen cevapi were all stuck together. Had to let defrost instead of grilling on bbq from frozen, like suggested on the box. Very dissapointed!

I like goods they sell, but the customer service is very poor, when your are in the store you don't feel welcomed, everything is chaotic, very tight, if they make you wait (and they always do) you are stuck amd have to let people go but moving to the other side of the store and then go back. I mostly come for their basterma, they sell it one piece, so I always ask to cut it, first they charge extra for cutting, second they always roll their eyes and sometimes even refuse to do it. Once lady told me "I can't cut it know I'm too busy, come in the evening" Seriously? I came from Mississauga to buy basterma and she just turned me away for nothing... Once a man working there made me wait just because, I asked to cut smth, so he said to another guy to let me wait (there was no one in line), assuming I don't know Bosnian language (I don't but my native language is very similar so I could understand) Not nice at all. I must admit their smoked goods are really nice, but after all this I always think twice if I want to go there.

Excellent cevape. One of the best I’ve ever had and the Kaymak is so good! I’m not Balkan but I visited this place with my Croatian friends and loved it. The large cevape dinner is a must do! Their food tastes amazing. I love their pitas stuffed with potatoes. They also bake their own bread called lepinja. So fresh and soft usually still very warm out of oven. Highly recommended. I just wish they had restrooms

5 star food, 1 star service. Ordered around 5:15, got the food around 5:40, they came by at 6 and wanted us to get out since they were closing. Given we were still eating and only had a few bites left, they could have waited. Not only did one person come by, 3 people did including the owner/manager!

Excellent service. An abundance of lepine if you beat the rush :)... cevapi are usual very good. Good place for non-Bosnians to visit for something different. Smoked meat is great for when you have company over to nibble on with cheese etc.

Balkan food? Yes please. Balkan people? Well.. you decide. However I would say that there are good and bad types of people in every single place. Even in Canada. People think that all Canadians are good people but there's a reason we have jail. Real criminals are locked up there. Anyway, try the food. You may like it. You also may not because different people have different taste but you will never know what you may or may not like unless of course you try it. So give it a shot.

I love Balkan food so after reading all the good reviews I decided to go and try their food out. This place is overhyped in my opinion. I tried many items and for the amount of meat they give the prices are too high. I’m glad I got to try it but it’s not a place I’ll be going back to eat.

I went to this establishment for the first time yesterday very eager to try their cevapi that was so well rated and their burek. I am sorry to say that their spinach (or what ever green they used) was horrible. The dough was good but the filling left an awful fishy taste in the mouth. The cheese was ok...very blah... no flavour in particular. We ordered a small cevapi take-out. There was barely any kaimak (sorry if spelled wrong)....1 teaspoon and the onions were dry around the edges. All in all it was not good, and red inside. They are definitely overpriced also. The fresh Ontario lamb was going for 30$ a kg! Very disappointing first and last visit. Sorry for the negative review but my experience was pretty bad.

One of the best delis in the city and the only place I go for Burek and Chevapi. I've traveled through Croatia and my fiancee is from Macedonia, one of the only places where we both agree that the food is "like back home". I would highly recommend if that's the type of experience you're looking for in neighbourhood style shop with very warm service.

Been here multiple times and the food is always amazing. However last visit they didn't believe I had already paid for my meal and were slightly rude about it, I had to pull out my phone to show them through my banking app that I already had. Not something you should make a customer do for a $7 meal. Even still, this was only one visit out of many and I'll definitely be back for the great European food.

We live in Pittsburgh, PA. We have friends in etobicoke who we visit every year. They live right around the corner from Mrakovic and we make them take us there every time we visit to let stock up on Bosnian treats like cevape, lepinje, pljeskavica, ajvar, etc. Some of the best food you'll ever have.

Very disorganized ordering "system" for take out. If one person doesn't know where to order, it screws up things for everyone else. Simple signs indicating where to wait, where to order, and arrows showing the direction would be helpful. The tickets for the orders also have two different numbers and every employee tells us a different number is our order number. I'm fine with waiting for food but we waited 45 mins and watched how chaotic the ordering was. Covid measures are not enforced. The owner/manager did not wear a mask at all, some employees wore them under the chin. Some customers felt entitled enough not to even bother coming in with a mask. I asked one lady where her mask was and she just turned her head from me. Honestly I was so annoyed standing around in the store watching all of this unfold and I did want to call bylaw. Still using Styrofoam containers. ???? Food is good and there's a decent select of options but that's about it.

The place is absolutely amazing, staff very friendly, kind, generous. The food is awesome, fresh.Chevapi are delicious, pastry very good. I recommend highly this place to try authentic Bosnian food! The waiting time is not that long, 15-20 min and food is served fresh ,hot from the grill. You can see and find a variety of the European products delicatessen.. Simply you will not be disappointed! One of the best place to try & eat Bosnian food in Toronto area for sure!!!

If you're coming for cevapi/burgers/grill please god call ahead. The wait can be interminable if you catch them between batches. Same goes for burek. Call ahead or you may arrive to find the next batch (is it meat + potato, meat, cheese?) isn't up for 10, 20, or who knows 60 mins. The groceries and smoked meats are great. Do not leave without a tub of kajmak (get 4+, they freeze and it's basically a cross between creme fraiche and cream cheese). At the back there's also a bread section where they put out these roll/loaf things. They're like a fat puffy naan bread. Soft, chewy, amazing. I would go back (on my bike from the East end) just for these.
