Got some crazy good prices for meat but avoid going on a day's before holidays if you don't want to stand in line for 30mins to 45mins in order to get in.

if i cold give a 0 star i would, I still wonder how this place is still open, the way they insults the customer in there can never happen in another store in Canada, and that makes me wonder, is it because its black mostly that buy things from there, as a black guy, i left and will never return there, I was sad because my phone battery was dead, I would have video it.

We bought a box of turkey and some other stuff in there. The prices are quite affordable seeing to the number of customers that visit and the owner is a nice guy. He gave us some freebies after the purchase. The meat was fresh and that's the attraction for me as a meat eating fan.

I like this place, their meat is fresh and the price is affordable. I give them 3 stars because of lack of customers service. They don't have a sense of urgency meaning they are very slow and their employees spend too much time chatting instead of attending to their customers and try to minimize the line. About a month ago, I thought about sending them a letter about their lack of customer service but I guess my concern would have been put in the shelves but I guess making my concern public might bring some changes. Thank you

It would be nice if the had a board up that said how much it was per pound per item , one time I got told it was 45$ by the man who got my box. Of chciekn then when I went to cash out the man charged me 50$.. meat is awasome but it's just hard to know how much to bring cause they always change up the prices ..

I visit this store twice in a year to buy all my family protein needs. Nice for a good bargain yeah, I love the fact that I get to put on my Nigerian girl hat to haggle, argue and be that market girl. The queue is always crazeee so if u must go on a sat, target getting there 8 to 8.30am. That way u are in the 1st batch of people into the store as per COVID protocols. The workers can be rude, dont take it with a pinch of salt. It isnt personal. They are butchers not customer service reps ????.in all, it is always an interesting experience for me

Not the best place to shop. Prices are not posted which means your negotiation skills determines what you get for some meat items. Right there in my presence, Someone bought cow skin for $9 per pound. Another got it for $10 per pound. When I asked, i was told $11 per pound. Meanwhile you can get the same cow skin for $8/9 per pound in other ethnic or Chinese stores. We also got the mature chicken and we were missing one of the chicken wings by the time we got home to cook. And this was after spending more than an hour there. Will definitely not be going back there. Store is unkempt and stinks.

They have the best meat and chicken. Always so fresh. They also have everything African that I need eg Cameroon pepper, yam, fresh atarodo, okro, ogbono, Egusi (ground and not-grounded), Knorr maggi cubes (chicken & meat), Milo, peak milk, some African leaves, palm oil, plantain chips etc. Really anything fresh you can think of, they have it.

Great shopping choice for all things meat. Fair pricing but a little bit of a wait on weekends. The guys there were really cool and could cut literally anything.

If you want to get affordable and wide variety of meat, poultry and fish then you should visit this place. Saturday is a peak day for them so try week days if possible. If you must go on a Saturday then ensure you are the first client at the door at 9am when they open. The place gets very crowded and rowdy after 10am. Because the place is usually crowded it may seem unsanitary but the meat they sell is approved by the relevant government authorities.

I usually don't post reviews unless I'm extremely satisfied or disappointed... In this case as you can tell I am nothing but happy about my experience and the product quality at Lauris. Wondered around the north end of Toronto looking for thick cut ny strip and luckily I landed on this gold mine.The owner was extremely helpful and rather enthusiastic help make what I was looking for. Meat the size of 3 fists, 1.5 inches thick were cut to order with exceptional quality and competitive pricing - around 40 percent less than others. If your looking for a good butcher dont walk... RUN to Lauris, you won't be disappointed.

Lauri meat market is a multicultural store where you can find food stuffs of many nationality especially asians and Africans. The goods are cheap compared to other stores selling the same product.I bought dry fish,meat , hot pepper, iced fish and others. I like everything I bought. Though, its crowded because people come in alot. The atmosphere was very busy.

Butcher shop, fish and all African-Nigerian grocery you can think of, at a fair price. Store is very busy, space is limited and can be a bit more organized, but staff is quite friendly. No wheelchair entrance or parking, and parking is free but very limited.

Hmmmm to be just honest with my opinion lauri meat should move to a better location.. the store is too small and old... Lauri meat market has been at this location for years and has made lots of money it's time for them to upgrade.. first no parking space , too and always congested and it's where you can easy catch the omicron variant and other upcoming more dangerous virus... It's will best for the management of lauri meat to expand for their own best Interest, there are many other options/stores springing up all over the city..

Busy place. And yes it's a bit filthy to say the least. You can find meat and delicatessen there that usually you won't find at your local butcher shop. I give it three stars for effort. Do not expect customer service from those folks.

Great for fresh beef and Goat meat and other African food. Only place I get variety of lean meat from.The wait in line can take up to 25min. Store is not very organized, items have no price label. I returned a pack of local rice which I found to be half of their price in another nearby shop.

I've been shopping at Louri market since 2000 and have not been dissatisfied, it's the only place I find all the African (Nigerian) food items I need. I dont mind the wait time or noise, all that brings me closer to home. The owner and workers are good people, you are treated with courtesies and their item prices are competitive, that's all that matters to me.
