Fantastic ! We just got back from eleven years in Calgary and we're so happy to see that our favourite butcher shop was still in business. Beside the amazing meat, the staff are all long term employees that are knowledgeable and the type of friendly down to earth people you'd invite over for a BBQ. We have never been disappointed with the meat or the amazing service from this old world butcher store. Support your local businesses!! They disappear all to fast these days!

Great meat - but their service surprised me today again: a girl was handling the meat (no gloves), then wrapped it up, took the money from a customer (no hand washing), gave him back some change, then went back to the meat she was working on previously (no hand washing), then touched the meat she packed up for me (no gloves), then used the card machine, and went back to handling the meat again (no hand washing). My bag's handles were wet and dirty. Not the way to serve meat :(. I feel slightly disgusted, will most likely skip this place for a while.

Best place to buy meats locally. My parents are SUPER picky when purchasing fresh turkey for Thanksgiving/Christmas, and they are always impressed with the size and quality they can get here. The servers are always friendly and helpful. The prices are fantastic too.

I've been going to this shop weekly since I moved to the neighbourhood 12 years ago. I always found that the customer service behind the counter left to be desired (except for Cathy at the cash who is great). I feel that the female staff never want to serve me which I don't understand why. Several times, they would be talking among themselves behind the counter and turn their backs to me and keep talking while I was waiting. A male employee would eventually come and serve me. A variation of this scenario has been happening pretty much every week. So when it happened again this last Saturday, I thought that's it. I'm never going back. I will be going back to Butcher by Nature who are Masters at customer service. BTW, another thing that always bothered me at Bloor Meats is the fact that they put products in front of the scale display so you can't see the information on the scale. Makes you wonder! I had to pick a star, but consider it as NO STAR.

Bloor meats is a staple in our household. If we’re looking to entertain or even just prepare a special meal for just us, this is where we go. I am a huge fan of the stuffed turkey roasts and wish they would be offered more consistently. They have a great selection of marinated meat options to take the guess work out of cooking. I also really appreciate the selection of unique sauces, spices, cheeses and other complementary grocery items available in the store.

We love this market and make sure to pop in whenever we go to Bloor west village. Yesterday we came and were told they were closing (we came at 6:30 on the dot), and the lady was kind enough to offer to grab us whatever we needed last minute!!! I really appreciate them going out of their way to serve us, and we ended up enjoying their amazing chicken burgers and smoked turkey sausages. Come by for the great meat and you’ll be welcomed by their amazing staff. :)

After years coming to this location, i used to live in the area for 5 years !! I moved to Caledon and drove today because of all the good previuos experience and quality products, very disapointing the service today of 1 of the staff members, i asked for a ribeye more than 2 inches for a special dinner, the artitude of this person was Rude and sarcastic, you only not just lost a loyal customer ! I will make sure to let know everyone about the rudness and awful service !!

We are new to Toronto (moved from Vancouver) and live in High Park. We were looking for a good steak. The staff member who helped us was in the middle of eating something behind the counter when we asked for help. He then swallowed his last bite, coughed, and then proceeded to handle the steaks we ordered with bare hands! Gross! I have never seen this before. More horrifying, a few other staff members were not using gloves and using bare hands. He was not the most friendly either. This is a sanitary threat, so we definitely will not return. I can't imagine if we ordered chicken!

I’m lucky to have this shop near my house, too quality meats yield top quality dishes at home. They offer the best beef in my opinion with naturally raised options which I support. This shop is my go to for steaks which are reasonably prices. Ribeyes and striploins are my faves as well as their ground beef! Come check them out.

These clowns overcharge their customers who don't know any better. Just to give them a test, I ordered 8.5lbs of beef bones. They charged me a little more than twice as much as what other butchers would. Shame on them. My family has been going to that butcher's shop for generations, sadly I can say that will not longer be the case. Go there if you don't care about your money. Many other butchers would be happy to provide better value.

I bought New York steaks to compare them with the ones I get from Costco. The Costco steaks are much better quality and the price is half. I don't mind supporting the local businesses and paying a little more but at double the price I expect a much better quality.

First time ordering from here and to think I grew up in the area and just now.....50 years later came across the findings on the web so decided to call in and order a stuffed turkey breast for 2019 Thanksgiving dinner to feed 10 to 15 guests. I thought I would have to order 2 but the one I got was large enough......it came vacume packed and I followed the instructions on how to cook it....came out PERFECT!!! VERY FRESH and DELICIOUS!!!!! Guests were happy as it was an alternative to a whole turkey....absolutely no waste......some leftovers but not much so perfect amount for everyone.....thank you and will order again!!!!!

Nestled in the heart of Bloor West Village, this family-run store has been around since 1929 and offers a terrific selection of quality meats and poultry – including naturally-raised. The pre-marinated Pork Tenderloin is a favorite BBQ “go-to item” at my house – quick, easy and never disappoints. The store also boasts a small fish counter with possibly the best Organic Salmon filets I’ve ever bought in the city. A nicely curated selection of gourmet brand condiments, artisanal dairy items and French/Italian charcuterie complete the shopping experience. The Bloor Meat Market has been a regular haunt of mine for over 15 years. I’ve always found the service attentive, and staff easily helpful with suggestions - whether it be for cooking, prep, or portion sizing for that upcoming dinner party. The made-in-house sausage selection (“Spicy Texas” another BBQ fave) deserves a special mention as well.

Very, very poor customer experience. I'm a loyal customer for 20 years but today someone new served me. He pretended to hang himself because I took a couple minutes to choose between 2 types of premium steak. I offered for him to take the next customer, which he declined and then mocked me again. I asked where the customer service was and was told to leave if I didn't like it there (really).

Everytime I've gone here the staff is fantastic and knowledgeable. There's one lady in particular who has a wicked sense of humour and always says bratty things whom I think is awesome. One of the gentleman once came out to give our pup a fresh treat but we had to decline because of his dietary restrictions - but how nice is that? The product is fantastic, we've gone to multiple butchers in the area and this is by far the best. Prices are great too. Usually we buy a bunch and freeze. Now I am thinking I need to go this weekend.

Came here before Christmas for my Turkey and ham. An order that I had placed a week in advance was lost. The butchers had a queue outside of about 15 people waiting for their order freezing. Once inside I then realised why there was such a big queue, absolute chaos with some of the workers walking around with unlit cigarettes in their hands. I waited close to an hour for my order which was eventually wrong and cost me $90. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. How this butchers has not figured a good system for their busiest season is bewildering. Awful experience to the start of Christmas. 1 star

In reading these reviews, I feel as if some of the one star ratings must relate to a different butcher. I have been a customer for 30 years and the service and products have always been exemplary. The beef tenderloin I served last night was delicious - my guests raved. It was much better trimmed than the meat I have bought at Costco previously and the price differential was about 15%. Well worth it for a much better product and service.

I bought a duck here today for $37. I just saw the same exact brand of duck (same size and everything) at No Frills for $20. I would suggest shopping around elsewhere before coming here. Their prices seem to be a huge rip off. They’re reselling the same products for almost double the price. I will not be shopping here again.

Bloor meat market is clean, honest, well-run, and has absolutely wonderful products. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob by phone for the first time last week. Called in to place an order for 28 steaks and 28 chicken breasts. Guy on the phone was way too busy to talk to me. Took my number. Never called back. Called the next day...nobody had a clue about me calling and wanting the order. Maybe an order that size isn't worth the time of day to this place?

THEY TOOK MY PHONE NUMBER AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME THE NEXT WEEK ON TUES/WED OCT.6/7. THEY NEVER DID, WHEN I WENT INTO THE STORE AND SPENT $60. THEY TELL ME THEY DID NOT ORDER MY TURKEY SIZE AND TRY TO SELL ME ONE DOUBLE THE TROUBLE! I CAN ALWAYS GET A FROZEN TURKEY AT ANY GROCERY STORE.
