We got 1/2 a roast duck (燒鴨) and a honey bbq pork (叉燒)。The duck was pretty dry. Maybe because we asked for 1/2 and they had a left over one? Because there were some in the window that looked better. Maybe it's just bad luck for us. But still, it was on the less flavorful side. I like the ones that has a clear taste of spices, especially in the cavity/bones. This one wasn't it. Fortunately they gave us a soy sauce dip, but again I personally prefer the ones with more spices (ie. More of a 滷水 rather than just 豉油/醬油)。 The bbq pork was ok. Nothing special. Would like a bit more caramelized bits but it was ok. All of that could be down to luck or personal preference. But there's also quite a few flies in the store. It gave more of an "old shop" feel, so I looked past it when ordering hoping the taste would be amazing. But since the taste isn't really what I was looking for either don't think I'll be back.

Great value, great food, very friendly owner. BBQ pork and chicken with rice for $8 (cash only). Can't beat that anywhere downtown, very filling and delicious.

Cash only the take out BBQ meals starts at $8 for 1 item or upside for $11 and $9 for 2 items or upside for $12.50 ???? Personally I go for the 2 item meal to go. The BBQ meat is very good like the ones from Vancouver or Richmond. Ask for lean or fatty pork cuts or go for the chicken or duck. I like this place for BBQ meats than the popular place next door (still great for bakery and food).

Specialize in bbq meats like crispy skin roast pork, bbq pork link sausages, roasted duck goes well with bean sauces or get the black soy sauce chicken. Usually majority people takes out but behind the sales counter one can one have lunch here too. No fancy cutlery or ceramic plates, all containers are styrofoam box, plastic fork & spoons provided. Understand you can get won ton soup if you ask. Behind business is a table where after ordering one can sit down to enjoy meal. An inexpensive way to have lunch. Very affordable & cheap. Don't feel uncomfortable eating here because it's down to earth a simple basic setting where no one cares. Tasty, satisfying, just enjoy.

Ordered 2 lbs of roast pork from this store and it was great. However, the 2 links of sausage I ordered were inferior. Overall, good shop for Chinese style roast meat.
