Great cuts. The meat here is very high quality, much better than most grocery stores. Also it's all Halal if that's important to you. Even the fresh chickens are great. As a bonus, they also stock a variety of middle Eastern pastries.

Pros: Halal meat, friendly staff, often offer a small discount if you buy more. Cons: meat cuts are inconsistent (e.g. some lamb chops are less than 2 cm think and some more than 4 cm ==> average is good, but coocking it evenly is difficult.

The most beautiful Steaks I've ever had. They were a joy to work with and tasted amazing. I've never had such a flavourful ribbon of fat like that on a NY strip. I also bought a duck and it was wonderful too. Their prices are equal to or less than that of major super markets, but the quality is soooo much better. Highly recommend!!!

I'm very sad at what has become of this place. It used to be a modest, simple, halal meat store. The owner is Muslim but does not follow strict Islamic trade and business practices (honest, transparency, and integrity). You should fear Allaah. 1. An employee gave me information about the source of the beef. I turned around and asked the owner and he gave me a totally different story and never bothered to educate his employee. Very shocking. 2. Sells many different products and does not differentiate between halal and not halal. 3. They try to up-sell me on everything. If I'm nice and buy once, I will not keep on buying every time. 4. Thaws frozen meat and sells as fresh. Please stop doing this. You are losing all your customers.

This is a great place to get halal meat in Victoria. Love getting the fresh meat daily. It has freshly cut oxtail, goat, lamb, duck and even seafood. But, most of all the varieties of spices, sweets and middle eastern groceries are easily found here. The Baklava is the best in town ????

Best tasting chicken I ever had! And I don't even like chicken. When I had a big order Medhat took care of me personally. The staff are always friendly. Recently tried the ground lamb and beef and it is delicious. Pricing is eminently reasonable for the quality as you only will pay a few more cents per pound more than a grocery store. Chicken wing are fat and juicy, perfect for wing night.

Super friendly, great cuts of meat at great prices. They've also got a lot of Indian/Middle Eastern spices, and other products I haven't had much luck getting anywhere else in Victoria. Went in there with a Groupon, and I'll definitely be going back.

Just prior closing time on Sunday Dec 05 2021, asked for 2 lbs of goat meat. The guy behind the counter first picked up the lamb meat tray. When I corrected him, he then picked up the correct tray. He then proceeds to pack 2 pieces of goat meat for me. Repeat 2 pieces! Yet again I corrected him after which he packed a very small packet for me. Though it looked & weighed unlike 2 lbs I left the store as I was already running behind. When I got home I happened to weigh the item for which I paid $27.15 incl GST (@approx $12 per pound). This came in exactly at 1 lb in weight on my home scale, though I was charged for 2 lbs. Call it incompetency or dishonesty, this is the 2nd time I've experienced something suspicious at this store, though I won't go into the details of the previous incident. The store is closed now, at the time of my post. But I am done with this store going forward. Our beautiful city of Victoria should not be tainted by this corrupt establishment. I am all for supporting small local businesses, but when you hoodwink customers opportunistically, that's a big mistake for the business owner. I've also noted there are several others who have reported a poor experience at this store. I am truly disappointed and will go back to the bigger and more reliable meat shops hereon. As another post stated: "AVOID AVOID AVOID"!

Keep an eye on how much they charge you!!!! The guy overcharged me on nearly EVERY single item. He paid me back afterward out of cash from his pocket rather than the till, which was also sketchy. I was very happy to find this place and their offerings for quality meat. Yet I'm not sure it would feel good to shop there again because of his dishonesty.

I love the quality of the products sold there . However today when I came to place the Christmas Turkey order I noticed a very strange and passive aggressive interaction with the lady running the store and a customer. She kept talking about food safe and cross contamination. Then proceeds to throw a frozen meet on the floor to separate it . Later after selling the meat without adequate wrapping / packaging for the customer to take it home. I believe the staff need more training in dealing with customers. Other than that I think i like this shop a lot and love coming back to get their products. And luckily I had a good experience :)

I am a regular customer of this store since last one year. The owner is a jovial and well mannered gentleman. As I know, presently he is recuperating from an injury and not attending the store regularly. I had been dealing with two nice ladies in his absence. However on 25th July, I faced a rather rude and arrogant Bangladeshi boy manning the store and was quite disappointed with his behavior. Hope the owner recovers soon and starts managing the store again.

I highly doubt this place sells halal meat (lamb, goat and beef). I used to buy from them but whenever I washed their meat before cooking, it contained too much blood (Even after multiple washes). Usually, halal food is blood free to a large extent and I know this for sure. I stopped buying meat from them since last year.

We use to refer anyone in the neighborhood to go there. Great meats but the customer service is just blatantly bad. In the summer, the younger guy there was great but he's gone. The older guy now is just awkward and rude. I have a low bar for customer service after working in it myself and this was bad. It felt like I did him an injustice just coming in. We always tip but this time we got someone chewing gum in our plastic bag.. that's not great. Luckily it wasn't in with the meat but on the outside. Don't recommend it.

I found it completely disrespectful and inconvenient that ... a few days before Christmas we preordered some oxtail meat to be picked up on Wednesday, the day before Christmas eve for our Christmas dinner.. When we went to pick it up they told us they sold it instead of holding our preorder. As a Jamaican this order was very important to us and intern had us scrambling for our Christmas dinner. No photo available as we did not get our order????????

Dishonesty, Scam and Ripoff. My husbanf had to go to see him o rectify the overcharged bill. More over we got an expensive supposedly fresh-free range turkey. It turned out that it was previously frozen...I will never go back again and will not recommend it to anyone.

After my order he didn't provided itemized receipt and when i asked guy was blank faced. upon doing my own total i found that $12 has been overcharged which has been deducted later when I show concern. Very bad management and meat cutting skills are at worst. I can cut whole chicken better than shop owner. not sure now if guys working there are actually certified butchers. Please avoid if possible.

This is a great place that caters to your needs! I wanted Kofta made for a BBQ, not only did the owner have all the right spices, vegetables and fresh mint on hand. She even made them in the burger patties which was how we were planning on serving the Kofta! I was the hit of the BBQ, the lamb and beef is very high quality and tasty !

Always a pleasure!!! Steak is the only steak I have ever bought that actually compares to a proper steakhouse (The Keg, Bold Knight, Etc) The sausages are amazing. Everything is super affordable, and cheaper than the supermarket most of the time. Staff are all 10/10 wonderful.

The store manager Bernadette is very rude, I asked for of authenticity and was eventually told to 'get out' like I was asking for a secret recipe from her great grandmother! She asked me 'does Walmart have transparency' what a joke! ... Basically if you have something to hide, you can't be trusted!... The only answer I got was 'my word should be enough for your trust' I'm sorry but do I know you enough to trust you? hell no! Sort your head and attitude out... I asked for 2 pounds of lamb meat and 2 pounds of goat meat and the guy told the other guy in Arabic to give me the older lamb meat. He gave me a vacuum packed package of Lamb meat and not from the tray with fresh meat. He didn't realize that I speak Arabic. I didn't say anything because I was in total shock! I will definitely not go there again. If he said that in front of me and I clearly do not look Caucasian then I can only imagine what else he says in Arabic that the customers do not understand.
