Amazing service tops off a wonderful array of amazing meat selection all fresh and top quality. They also have some bread and condiments plus some frozen prepared dishes like meat pies. It can be busy due to its local popularity but they have a take a number system and it runs quite smoothly. It is on the pricey side but the quality is well worth it.

Possibly best butcher on the Island. Great COVID Distancing protocols. Always fantastic. Reinforced it today when I got a perfect hint of smoke in the wonderfully cured salami. Prices are on par with big chains like Thrifty (Sobey's) for a craft product. Worth the trip.

They offer a huge variety of meats of the highest quality. In addition to the standard cuts you can get prepared meats, as well. There are several variations of chicken cordon bleu, for example, as well as marinated meats and many kinds of sausage. Deli meats, portofino bread and Simon's Pies, too. During the pandemic they are serving from a window outside or you can order online for store pickup.

The best butcher in Victoria, bar none. Those bacon cheddar chuck burgers.... While they are ALWAYS busy, the service is prompt and very helpful. They have everything a meat lover could desire, and then some. From sauces to bread to seasonings and every kind of glorious meat you could want, they have you covered. I never buy meat anywhere else. Remember the days when you would cook a roast, and have to add water to the pan to make gravy? Those days are still here, if you don't buy meat from a grocery store. Why pay meat prices for salt water injected into your meat because they removed all the blood to make meat glue. The place is always busy, but you get through fast. I can't say enough good things about them. I have told everyone I know. when a friend tells me, "oh hey, there is a sale on chicken breasts at (insert store name here)." I say, "ya.. no thanks, I only buy meat from Glenwood Meats."

Decreasing my review to 1 star from 3. The bacon quality has significantly gone down since it's been in plastic, we asked for 1 quantity of teriyaki Chuck and received 2. Last weeks bacon had no flavor, this week was moderately better but by no means is that a compliment, it still ended up in the trash. The pies were not great a few weeks back, the broccoli cheddar cordons were poorly made... Looking like I'll be going elsewhere at this rate... Damn shame. What the hell is going on over there?

Great selection! All the red meats you could ever want (white meats are good so I here) plus lots of great marinated meats for stir fry and BBQ. Great sausage selection plus 3 or 4 types of bacon. And the bacon is awesome as is required here in Canada where nothing less will do. The staff is efficient, accurate and personable. To top it off, unlike most high end butchers, the pricing is reasonable: not much difference from the supermarket. Top quality product. If you live in Victoria you should be going to this place for all your meat needs. Forget Costco, this is the real attraction on the West shore.

I buy our family's meat here every week (have been for about a year now), the quality of the meat is incomparable to that found in grocery stores, and the prices are cheaper in many cases. The customer service is fantastic every time - I have no idea how they remain chipper in the constant rush of people - very genuine people working there. Their jerky sticks and pepperoni sticks will change your life, they also sell eggs, deli meat, salmon, and pies. Be prepared to wait for 5-15 minutes (you take numbers when you arrive) - but it's always a good sign of a company doing something right.

We found all three, plus a Canada-based soda I've been wanting to try for years. I can't wait till the worst of this pandemic is over and I can go inside to browse like normal. How they implemented the COVID-19 regulations was great; though, perhaps they could have put out some chairs which were spaced appropriately.

I had no idea what to expect showing up here. I told my friend I needed a butcher, he said go here. I was not expecting a parking lot full of dozens of cars and about 30 people lined up waiting to be served. It's like a busy auction house in there! That being said, the wait was not long before someone called my number and helped me out. There are so many selections of fresh cuts, sausage and pretty much anything you would need for a meal (including fresh bread and some dog treats for your buddy), all made in house. The prices were relatively cheap as well.

Even if you don't live out in the Westshore area (like myself) making the trip to glendwood meats is 100% worth it. They run the business like a family and it shows with how they run the place. The quality meat is exceptional. The selection is phenomenal. The prices are hard to beat. The only downside is you may have to wait a few minutes as it's always, always busy, but that just shows you what kind of business they run.

First time visiting Glenwood meats, having lived in Langford for 6 years I'm not sure why I waited so long. Maybe just to see what they were really made of 2 days before Christmas? They did not disappoint. Staff were super friendly, great selection (some things sold out, to be expected). Would recommend making a list from their excellent website product overview!

Awesome staff and a great selection of meats. Coming straight from the cow, bull, pigs and chicken gets you great prices. The parking lot is usually full but it is wheelchair accessible and free. There is no doubt Glenwood Meats is a gem for everyone.

I was visiting family in the area and wanted to treat them to some BBQ. My brother-in-law told me about this place so I went to get the meat from there. He told me it was great but you never know till you get there. First of all there were so many members of staff it was incredible, it mean't you got super quick, super good service. The prices were not over the top and the meat itself was excellent. It was the best steak I'd ever cooked. I wish I had a butcher so fantastic close to where I live.

Visited Glenwood meats for the first time yeaterday. The meat at Glenwood is a cut above other places in Victoria. I’m not sure if it is in their curing techniques or simply that the meat they sell is fresher than their competitors, but Glenwood is worth the drive from Victoria and I will definitely return. Oh yeah, and the service is excellent with staff who spend the extra time to answer questions to ensure you get what you’re looking for. No need to overspend at those trendy ‘hipster’ downtown butchers. Visit Glenwood meats for all your carnivore needs!
