It’s almost -35 outside and my car has been shipped to Toronto. But mans gotta eat right? Amidst all this, our local Edmonton Halal grocery store Alif Halalmeat (Alif Halal Meat and Groceries) came through. They shopped and delivered these groceries to my doorstep, which is 30 mins away from their store. They charged 0 in delivery fee as well. Amazing to see Bangladeshi businesses like this go above and beyond. It’s a proud feeling.

Very neat and clean store.. nicely decorated. Very reasonable priced. Great customer service. Went there with couple of friends and wanted to buy drinks for them. To our surprise, the owner offered us the drinks for free. It's very generous of him.

I use to visit this place once a week to buy desi masalas and meat but last few times had to deal with the owner(i think?), older guy with glasses. He was very unprofessional and didn't have a clue about what he was talking about or what he was doing. Won't be coming back again

This happened in more than one occasions that we went here to buy a "whole chicken" and the chicken wasn't in fact whole. sometimes it's short of a drumstick or a drumette and sometimes its short of some other piece of the chicken. Regardless of having it weighed and then putting a price on it, the expectations of buying a "entire chicken" is not always met. After being surprised with the same situation today; when we called to let them know of the fact, instead of apologizing for providing wrong or incomplete product, they defended themselves quite strongly. maybe Alif should work harder to ensure they provide proper products instead of pointing fingers back to their customers.

I started shopping in this store when they just started since then achieved a lot, now they have pretty much every deshi thing a deshi person could ask for. Yes they messed up few times with our order but even in walmart they make mistakes. But the best part it, they respond and correct it right away. I wish them best of luck.
