Dec 2020 I’m addicted to Five River Meats. It’s become a weekend staple. Hands down the best spice meat shop in the Greater Vancouver. My favourite flavours are tandoori, kashmiri and peri peri chicken. Feb 2021 Their Butter Chicken sauce is to die for. I highly recommend you try their butter chicken package, that includes chicken, butter chicken sauce, naan bread, rice and chicken wings. You will love it.

We were excited to try their Garlic & Ginger chicken which we had never tried before. We were not disappointed, what a great flavour combination! Their hot Tandoori chicken had the perfect amount of heat. We will be trying the Peri Peri chicken on our next visit very soon. Great location, lots of parking options. See you soon.

Popped in on their first day and found incredibly friendly staff, and a good selection of delicious looking chicken. Can’t wait until they get fully settled. Will definitely be back! Both chicken breasts we got came out great on the barbecue!

Walked in because I was intrigued by their storefront and ended up picking up some samosas and chicken thighs to BBQ (Tandoori and Ginger/Garlic) later that evening. The service was really friendly and good here! They answered all my questions and helped me decide on dinner. Will definitely try something new next time I'm in the area!

So we normally take out butter chicken or make it from scratch, but decided to give their mix a try. To say it is fantastic is a gross understatement. As our kids said “it’s better than the restaurant!!” Love love love this stuff!

Popped in today because a friend told me they carry items of the vegetarian variety. Ended up purchasing the paneer burgers and paneer tikka, was pleased with how they turned out. Great customer service, facility is nice and clean ! it is easy to tell the owners take pride in their business.

So happy to have a new shoppe in town! So far my entire family loves everything we have tried. My picky eater son loves the Jamaican patties and my daughter’s favourite are the marinated prawns. My favourite is their butter chicken sauce. And the owners are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Mak for the expert explanation of the five rivers regions and spices !

I’ve been to Five Rivers 3 days straight since visiting for the first time over the weekend. Hands down the best butcher I’ve ever been to. Too quality meat, fresh pies and patties, and reasonable pricing. Not to mentioned the amazing marinades! Family owned, and the folks are super friendly. This will for sure be my family’s go to moving forward. Thank you Five Rivers for spoiling us!

So happy we ended up going here! The smells outside the restaurant drew us in. We had the butter chicken, chicken curry pie, and lamb kebabs. All of them were absolutely fantastic! The pie crust was super flaky, and the meats were very flavorful. The owner was also very nice. I would definitely recommend!

What a great find in Steveston Village. A rustic feel to a new age meat shop! Staff were professional and friendly. I had a crazy work schedule and no time to make dinner, I texted my kids there is chicken breast make something. My daughter cooked the chicken added the Five Rivers Butter Chicken sauce, and WOW all three if my kids Loved it. My daughter texted me at work and said this is the Best sauce ever, better than restaurants, party caterers and sorry to say better than homemade as well. Kids are picky eaters if they Loved it I know it's a winner. Will definitely get more for my kids.

Wow! So much flavor! I purchased the mild (can't recall the name) and the tandoori which is mild to medium. They are both a hit in our house. Going back tomorrow to load up on some more. Highly recommend. I'm going to try the spicier meats and see how it goes. Also, the service is great and the guys there are super nice and helpful.

Since discovering this exceptional butcher, I have returned multiple times a week. My goal of trying every single item will be met pretty soon! So far, I have tried a few of their different marinades and each one is so delicious. They also have a few vegetarian options and I have tried those too. They are amazing! Awesome paneer patties and the samosas are also really great. I have been so impressed with the quality of food and also of the service. The gentleman behind the counter is amazing! He is super friendly, enthusiastic about his product, and really very helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Came across this new gem in the heart of Steveston Village and the family friendly customer service was exceptional! The meat quality was great, the marinades were seasoned to perfection with the right amount of spice & heat. From the kabobs to the tandoori & garlic ginger chicken ... mouth-watering is an understatement. We will definitely be going back on a regular basis.

We tried the Sutlej chicken breast and it was absolutely amazing! The flavour was unique and the heat was perfect. The Samosas are also top notch. I would highly recommend these guys!!
