I do a lot of travelling for my job, and I consistently visit Chopped Leaf because their items are nutritious and delicious, and their staff are friendly and welcoming. Of all of the different Chopped Leaf locations I've been to, this has been by far the worst customer service by a long shot out of all of them. The rest I would easily rate an overall 5/5.
I walked in, and two of the workers just looked at me. I stared back (because apparently I was interrupting their conversation, and I was deciding if I wanted to remove myself from the situation), waited about 3 seconds, and finally the girl said hello, and they continued to clearly gossip about someone they knew. No smiles from either of them. When I decided what I wanted, I walked over to the counter, and the guy walked over as well. I took a bowl #3 and after asking him how the Southwest wrap was (he said it was one of his favourites), that's what I ordered. Again, no smiles. If I could see more than what one could see during a normal interaction, he was clearly mentally rolling his eyes.
My food arrived on the take out counter, and the girl said thank you and told me to have a nice day. That's the least she could do after this miserable encounter.
One star because it's mandatory for a rating, and one extra star for the food, which was satisfactory, however soured it was from this experience.
DO NOT COME HERE. Go to Grande Prairie instead, where they are far nicer and actually care and take pride in the food that they serve. This Dawson Creek crew obviously hate their jobs and would rather be paid to stand around and complain versus actually doing anything. All that wasted energy could have come in useful to even force half a smile.
