The only good thing about this store is the size. Staff is not knowledgeable at all and sometime very rude. They keep trying to push their home brand of food (PERFORMATRIN) that is over priced and only average food. Much better food out there for that price range. Acana, Orijen. Pets are in small cages "to small for them" without water or food. Not pleased with my visit to this store.

It seems the manager of this store has decided that all rescues who obtain donated dog food (it is expired so they cannot sell it) unless they have a government registered rescue. I do know here in Ontario this is NOT a requirement, so why here? And maybe only one rescue in particular.... The backbiting that goes on in the rescue world is nasty. But I have to admit I've never seen a store get into it. So I will personally BOYCOTTING ALL PETVALUE STORES UNTIL THIS IS CORRECTED. Needless to say social media is very watchful...... Three days later I get a response from the store saying oops no, PetValue does NOT require any of the requirements SET OUT IN WRITING TO A RESCUE were incorrect. But guess what? They STILL REFUSE TO SUPPORT THE RESCUE. There are a lot of witches involved in rescue that their SOLE purpose is to make themselves look good. They are the ones that cause all sorts of problems for rescues they know nothing about. Spread rumours, speak I'll of the owner(s), board whatever for their own personal satisfaction of hurting someone. This is exactly what has happened here. And I will be taking it up with head office. People like this need to be STOPPED. Enough is enough. We are here for the ANIMALS, not you or anyone else. Disgusting!

I love going to the Pet Valu downtown, the staff are very nice and friendly....my 2 fur babies (Dexter and Lexxi) love the dry kitten food...Performatrin Ultra brand ❤ They've been eating that since they were 8 weeks old, they are 18 months now....I like the "free' bag you receive after the purchase of 12 bags....after I get this free bag...I'll be starting them on adult food! ???? They absolutely LOVE the treats I get for them too, Orijen is the brand and they really love it...especially the 6 fish ????

The staff here is amazing!! They are so friendly and kind. Always there to help with anything you need in store. Bring my dog here to get baths because it's cheap.and easy. Love that you get a little complimentary treat while giving the dog a bath. Also has a variety of reptile goods, this is actually where I bought most of my terrarium set up because compared to some other pet store in town the prices were reasonable.
