All the minority friends, you might want to re think before visiting this particular shop. This is a story that makes my friend and I very sad. We were there Dec 29 at about 5:40pm and waited in line to speak to the only staff, Brittany, who was helping a Caucasian customer and we over heard her explaining their todays special deal to him. After 5min, another Caucasian guy walked in and he stood behind us. When it’s our turn, we started to speak to Brittany and immediately she told us “I’m just gonna help the other gentleman first.”, without explaining to us why. So we stood there, waited for her to help the other Caucasian guy who just walked in. So finally when every other customers left the store, she turned back to us. Then we thought maybe she might know the Caucasian guy personally, and that’s why she ignored us, but it’s not the case. When we try to ask her the same question “do you guys have any special deal today?” She gave us a weird looking and said “we got a flyer over there” period, completely different behaviour and attitude compares to the first Caucasian guy. That’s when we realized that SHE TREATED US DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE WE ARE MINORITIES. We’ve wanted to visit M&M meat shop for a long time and this is a very sad first time experience, which is also the very first time we have seen this behaviour in Victoria. We hope this is only an individual behaviour and dose not implicate what M&M stands for.
