I've purchased two vehicles from Browns in the last 6 years and have had amazing service both times, as well as all the years in between. The first time around I purchased a used SUV that was originally an employees vehicle (Lee!) and it was pristine. It came with a second set of tires which were accidentally lost... but they were quickly replaced without question. The second time around I worked with Brian the bow tie guy and he was awesome. I waffled a lot and struggled to find something in my budget, and never once did I feel pressured, or ignored, while I hmm'd and haw'd over making a purchase. The biggest deal breaker for me is if someone is pushy, which is why I choose Browns for my car needs. I loved my old SUV and I love my new SUV and I'll continue to recommend Browns to every one I know.

Browns also has stood by their mechanics work, if I have a question or concern a quick discussion with there lead mechanic usually has me out the door feeling completely comfortable with the work that was completed! They have been my dealership of choice for the last 9 years and I have no intentions of looking elsewhere.

This place has ripped me off/attempted to rip me off several times in the last two years. Out of desperation prior to a long road trip and no time off work, I brought my vehicle in to have an engine noise diagnosed back in March 2019. I told them that I suspected it was a bent push rod on the drivers side. For some unknown reason they decided it was coming from the transmission/torque converter so they spent an hour disconnecting that, finding out they were wrong, and reconnecting everything. They checked a few other things, totaling 3 hrs of charges, then told me that they would have to start tearing down the engine from the top OR bottom, quoted at 12 hrs of labour with no idea if they would even be looking in the right place or not. I told them not to bother. Once I finally had some time off from work, I took the drivers side valve cover off to look at the push rods on that side (about half an hour of work) and guess what I found?? A BENT PUSH ROD! I replaced it and lo and behold, no more noise. Then they sent me a thank you postcard. No, thank YOU Browns' Chev! Thank you for reminding me to write this review.

I recently brought my vehicle to Browns for repairs. I’m not a resident of Dawson Creek so I had to arrange affordable transport for my vehicle from Fort Nelson to Dawson Creek as I was informed by mechanic in town that I should not risk driving it down in its condition. The repairs could only be done at a gm dealership as you needed special parts. After about $4000 in repairs I was finally told I could come pick up my vehicle. I was generally pleased with my service, however, while my vehicle was at the dealership being fixed I received a special warranty notice for my vehicle. It was Informing me of a faulty wastegate actuator. The letter said to not bring it into a dealership unless it started to malfunction. However, to my dismay, on my travels home my engine light came on an hour and a half into a four and half hour drive. I lost almost all power and it was a struggle to get home. Had I not needed to get home I would have turned around and headed back to the dealership. The main reason I rated them so low is because they had the ability to pull up the special warranty letter by punching my vin number into their computers. They had my car for over three weeks and had the engine out of it a couple of times. Why couldn’t they just have checked the faulty part to see if it was still in tact? This should have been done as they know I’m an out of town client. Now I have to arrange transport for it back to Dawson as I believe the faulty part in question caused my turbo to fail. So not impressed with GM in general.

Friendly but I suffered EXTREME sticker shock for the work done especially when I found out I could have saved more than 1/4 the price of $2000 by getting the work done by local mechanics. I’m retired with a fixed income and this HURT!! It cost more than I have as a monthly income! And...the transmission problem repeated itself on my first stop on the way home. So...it wasn’t fixed.

This post is coming from someone that is cautious about giving any reviews. I have had my Canyon for almost a month now. I waited to see if everyone was on their best behavior just until the sale was complete. To my surprise, these guys and gals are the real deal. Genuinely great team that is all about making sure the customer is satisfied and continually getting care and attention after the sale. I highly recommend Brown's Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd In Dawson Creek! The sales people are not pushy, they follow through with what they say they will include, if they don't know the answers to your questions, they will find someone that can answer them and give you the information they have acquired. Straight up, great people at Brown's. I will refer them 100% of the time. Lee, and Sheldon were super helpful in finance. The parts guys are a fun group. Service was kind and professional. Adam and Jack are great Sales Professionals. The poor Secretary that took all of the calls going in and out, thank you for being wonderful! I drove in from Grande Prairie to deal with this business because I was referred by a friend. It was well worth the drive and I will definitely be recommending all my family and friends to go to Brown's if they want a great vehicle purchasing experience.

We bought a used truck from BowTie Brian, He was really good to deal with, help me work out a few parts the truck needed, met JP, he approved all of the trucks needs. As with a used truck when we ran into an issue, Browns gave us a courtesy suburban for us to get around with while the truck was in for repairs. All the staff We have encountered from the front desk to the sales staff to financing and the service dept have always been really great to deal with. Recommend for anyone to purchase your vehicles, used or new, from Brown's.

We were about an hour from Dawson creek on a hunting trip from Comox when our service stabli-track light came on and the truck would not accelerate. Being 14 hours from home, that wasn't ideal. I called your dealership on a Friday at 3pm and explained to the very nice lady my situation. She got me in the very next day (Saturday), and said they could put it on the computer but most likely couldn't fix it till mid week. When I brought it in on Saturday They found out it was electrical. Knowing how electrical problems can be a huge pain I wasn't excited to hear that. They figured it out in a few hours and got it fixed up and got me out of there in record time. On top of that I joked with our hunting group that I have never got out of a dealership for under $500! It was just the icing on the cake to see the bill come under $500. Amazing service all around! Thanks guys!
