This is one of the most Wisconsin stores I've ever been to. Amazing!

Nice variety of various different meats but HOLY CRAP is this place expensive!!!!!! The expensiveness of their products is a direct correlation to the fact that this is a touristy area and that's where most of their business comes from!!!! I being a local never buy their wayyyyyyyyy overpriced jerky, snack stix, beef stix etc etc etc.... The only thing I buy here is their ground chuck hamburger and that's it!!! Their previously mentioned jerky, snack stix/beef stix etc etc are nothing more than average. I have had far better products at regular run of the mill small town lockers and at far lower prices too!!!! Save your money and find one of these small town meat lockers and get as good if not better products let alone way lower prices!!!!

Our first trip to Louie's. It is the best butcher shop I have ever been in. Great meat selections. We purchased several packages of frozen brats and a dozen fresh brats. Also marinated chicken breasts and butterfly pork chops which we ate today. We felt it was worth the 120 mile round trip drive. I heard about this place several years ago. after having breakfast with a Wisconsin friend who raved about their brats we had to make the trip. We will be back again.

With the exception of a few items, we were able to find all the sausages and meats that we intended to buy. My grandma has been coming here since she first immigrated from Germany over 60 years ago. She was very excited to visit for the first time in several years. This place was very busy for a Tuesday morning. Don't expect appropriate social distancing here. We appreciated that the deli staff was very kind and helpful, however our cashier was not very friendly, and unfortunately that lack of courtesy is what we tend to remember as the last experience before exiting the business. As in, my grandma was saying goodbye and "See you next time" and the cashier didn't even look at her or acknowledge her after she paid. Perhaps she was just too busy to smile and say goodbye. There were a few things that took away from what would have been a 5-star experience: We were disappointed to see that only a few staff members wore masks to protect customers, no one was sanitizing carts, and there were far more people in the store than the supposed "limited capacity" they had been posted in the notice at the entrance. We'll be back, but early in the morning and will keep it quick.

I went to Louie's for meat and for some advice about smoking meats. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. While I didn't get the answers I necessarily wanted I got the right answers and some valuable information. I also picked up a couple of specialty items and some meats that were on sale (after tasting some of their samples). This was my first trip to Louie's, but hopefully not my last. I highly recommend it.

This place is extremely addictive........They offer the finest sausage products this side of Munich. I've been stopping at Louie's on my way to Hayward the past 30+ years. They have everything from the "real deal" Brats (Packer/Jalapeño/Plain, and more) to the best Summer Sausage that I've ever had. Here's a list of my favorites: Hunter Sticks (Landjaeger), Summer Sausage, Packer Brats, Jerky, Ham, Cottage Bacon, and my old fashion favorite served around the holidays is Rolla Pulsa. It's nice that they offer this year round in case I feel like having Christmas in July. You should also pick up a jar of the Alstertor Dusseldorf mustard. adding this on there Brats can't be beat. If you're running late out of the cities, and can't get there by closing time they will process your order and have it waiting at the liquor store that's attached. This is a nice convenience for me. I've never been disappointed.

I tell you, you walk into Louie's and you can just tell that the people that work there, that craft the meat, they have PRIDE in what they do, where they work and the community they interact with. They smile, they are friendly and they legit look and act like they like being there. I don't get to Cumberland WI often, but when I do, I always make a point to stop at Louie's and get some meat craft to take home. If you go through Cumberland, stop at Louie's. This was my first time stopping at Louie's. I actually had called dairy place in Turtle lake because a friend got me some really good hibiscus cheese from there that I wanted to get. I was told by the company that Louie's sells it. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised. It's a really nice store. I was disappointed they didn't have the cheese that I wanted, but I would definitely go back there again. please order this Cheez-Its hibiscus bergamot or something. I don't know all I know but it's amazing!!!

Great selection of items they're brats come in almost any combination you can think of meat sticks are amazing ring bologna is very good if you get something from the deli and have to take a number the line is pretty long and it doesn't seem to be well organized the customers that were there when we stop by or very upset about the disorganization of the deli department but it was Fourth of July weekend what do you expect. absolutely one of the finest one off butcher shops left in North America. If you're within 300 miles of this place and you're road tripping you should find a way to come through this town specifically to stop here. Cumberland is well known for food but it's butcher shop is well-known in more than four states. We live in Minnesota but anytime we're headed Northwest through Wisconsin we find a way to pass by here, to fill our freezer with some of the best made Wisconsin bratwurst that exist which by the way in case you're wondering would be some of the best bratwurst that exist outside of Germany. On a busy day you need to take a number, on a quiet day or before school or work is out you can usually just get in and get out easy. Try not to make a meal of the samples on the butcher counter. Yeah they have free samples of some of the most amazing, butcher shop made beef snack sticks, summer sausages, and cheese. During the summer, starting at around 10 a.m. running till around 5 or 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, they have a food truck serving lunch deals with some of the best bratwurst now cooked, ready to eat. On the north end but we have never been there is a full-service Bar and Grill. I mean think about it when was the last time you were capable of buying butcher made custom, fresh bratwurst at 2.99 a pound... I mean really.

Best sausage, brats, etc. While in the area it's well worth going out your way, but it can get quite busy during peak times. A testament to how good their products are. They offer most of their creations frozen also, which can help beat the line at the meat counter. The quality of their cut meats is also the best in the area, but their brats and sausage products are what set them apart from the rest. Be sure to try the original and Packer brats. Also try the peppie sticks and hunter sausage.

They have a great variety of meats and the most mouth watering rib eye ever, their brats are to die for especially this time of the year= BBQ time. I absolutely love you guys! As for social distancing, face masks, and sanitizing, if you’re afraid...just stay HOME and order online or do curbside pick up. SMH LOL

Best meat market ever. Our family has been buying the wonderful award winning sausages and Hunters sausage for 3 generations.. they so many Brat flavors, they fill an entire wall! Louie's has much more to offer. Many Local made items including cheese and fudge, jams and hand made breads.. a liquor store is also attached... they even have some live bait.. A "must stop" shop for every weekend trip to the cabin♡

Incredible variety of not only kinds of meats (i.e. brats, snack sticks, ring bologna, marinated chicken breast...), but flavors within those kinds as well (cajun, teriyaki, chipotle ranch, Mediterranean, Jamaican jerk, garlic peppercorn, cranberry orange....). Don't come hungry, or you'll leave broke ;-)

We took all 3 of our bears to Louie's as first time customers. We had used other meat locations in the past. Let me just say Louie's has us hooked as life long customers. The customer service was outstanding, especially from the younger gentlmen in the butcher shack. He had our steaks, chops, and hides ready the next day for us. He explained all the types of snack sticks, jerky, and everything else that we could get. He also spent time with us helping us select our products on a busy Friday mid day. I wish I could remember your name, but you truly do great work. The outcome of our 3 bears is amazing. We got jerky, brats, hot dogs, dried, summer sausage, and snack sticks. All of it is great, especially the Wisconsin and Northwoods snack sticks. The only negative is the BBQ snack sticks are very bland in flavor like the BBQ was forgotten in the batch. Overall was a great experience and great meats, we will be back and recommend you to any hunters.
