Awesome spot for high quality meats, baked goods, and a lovely cafe meal. Staff are great and took great care of us including our 4 y.o. with special spaghetti and meatballs ("better than mom and dad make") and a couple free cookies to take home.

Stopped in for lunch, tried the Burgers and Brews entry, the "Water West Melt", and it was UNREAL. Potato bun was a first for me, a beautiful addition to the flavourful offer. Great espresso, as always. Perfect spot for lunch or coffee, a must visit for anyone who appreciates good food. Minimalist and modern decor. Highly recommend!

My first time visiting Waterwest today. What a great addition to the Westend of St. John's. The space is small and tight which may be awkward for some, but the service and food was outstanding. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with pasta salad. The serving was small but maybe it only appeared that way because I almost swallowed it all whole as the flavour was incredible and I just wanted more. Definately recommend this place.

Food was excellent, however expect a bit longer of a wait total time was about an hour and 20 minutes in the restaurant once seated. If you do you have the time, I’m sure you’ll find it well spent here!

We ordered blueberry pulled pork and pastrami sandwich. Both taste great. The pulled pork was juicer. Each sandwich comes with a soup or salad of your choice. Service and atmosphere were perfect. Very limited seating inside though.

60 day dry aged beef, gorgeous pork, aged lamb, foie gras, etc. THIS is what I'd been pining for in the decade since I returned home. Service is impeccable and they are very knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor, drop in, buy yourself a treat....you won't regret it.

Waterwest was amazing in helping get together a birthday charcuterie board for my dad. Awesome communication and Chloe assisted in curating a perfect board with local meats and a variety of accoutrement. My parents loved it and they are major foodies ????

A really pretty small place with great staff and good food. Which the meat section on the ground floor level is a basic market, the upstairs patio and dining space offers great fare, fun food and a bakery. Staff is always cordial and interesting.

Delicious food, small but really nice atmosphere, and excellent service. Delicious coffees and teas, a perfect stop as you head out for a hike/photography when heading out to Cape Spear or Bowring Park because it is right at the turn before you leave the downtown area. When visiting I didn’t get an opportunity to try the meats, but the pasta and other food items were very well prepared. I try to visit Newfoundland over the summer and this will definitely be one my favorites to visit when I come back, they couldn’t have treated us better. I think this will become a staple in the St. John’s food scene.

Food was good, atmosphere...I don't get it. Awkward exchanges with the staff because it wasn't really explained to us how the place works. You have a take away counter on one side and 5 feet away you want to have reservation only fine dining? Not my vibe. Don't think I'd bother again.

I arrived here by chance and am I ever glad I did. It was a small venue with limited seating but I was able to sit at the bar looking upon personable touches to the restaurant that also serves as a cafe with readily prepared meals for take-out. There are daily features and I went with the hot sandwich and soup. I have to say hands down the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I’ve ever had. It was diced marbled steak that melted in your mouth, something I’ve never come across before in a sandwich. The Szechuan sausage soup accompanying was also something to write home about. My server, Jed?, was kind & pleasant. If I had more time, I would have come here for lunch everyday.
