Last week, I purchased a couple of steaks at the Lakewood location. I got a phone call just after the butcher handed me my steak, and while on the phone, I absentmindedly walked out without paying! I called the store from home when I realized my mistake. Rather than having me pay over the phone, they told me to pay the next time I showed up. Today, I showed up to purchase more steaks and pay for my purchase from last week. They told me to just forget about it and keep buying my meat from Stokkes. Quality meats at a fair price and service like that? You’ve got a customer for life!

Meat products might be fine, but I absolutely could not believe that not a single employee was wearing a face mask today at the Duluth store. When I was checking out, I asked the young lady why. After giving me a blank stare, about 15 seconds later she replied, "Well, it's a personal choice". Since when is it a personal choice to risk the possibility of making someone sick with the virus???? Shame on this store. I told her I would not be back. She couldn't care less. Buyers beware! Most reputable stores won't even let you enter without wearing a mask.

really strange But true

We grabbed a little of many different beef jerky’s, Brats, sausage and more and should have grabbed much more than a little of each, wow! Excellent, it’s all so good, a new favorite.

I have always loved this place. They have a huge selection of meats, and whenever I'm in, they have something crazy delicious on sale. Last time it was stuffed pork chops for $4.99 a pound. Way better than any stuffing I could come up with. It's a ways out, but worth the trip when lighting the grill. I usually grab some jerky on my way out. Tide snack for the drive home.

Worst service ever. Went to buy meat and ran into Curtis who needs a new job. No customer service skills. If he is the face of Stokkes then they have a problem. He took rude to a whole new level. Tried to ask to see the meat we were buying and he lifted the package and just dropped it on the scale. Never spoke to us but tried to stare us down. Weird and rude. Just wanted to buy some steaks for the grill. Bad for Stokkes but good for Old World Meats. That's where I'll be going next and will be sharing my experience with everyone starting on facebook.

STOKKE's Meat Market: Jeff went in this morning 11/13/2021 to make a purchase. He was next at the meat counter and there was an older man behind him. The owner's son called the older man up to the counter and told him he would wait on him. Jeff said, hey I was next and the owner's son said...Yeah but I know this guy and Jeff responded I have been waiting...the owner's son replied: WELL IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THERE IS THE DOOR!!! Well, the door was indeed used and we will NEVER entire either of their markets again!! What a JACKASS!

I used to love Stokkes, but the last few times the jerky was not good. Almost like the quality has gone down. The texture of the meat like disintegrates in your mouth like a powder. It's really weird. It's over priced and the taste is just not there like it used to. I'll probably stick to B&B in Cloquet.

Worst ground pork I’ve ever had. 99% white fat! Called them to correct their grinding. 80/20 burger bag was dry and mottled in appearance. Will not buy there again.

Very dissatisfied couldn't get a custom cut of meat with out a huge ordeal and when I did get it the cut was a sirloin tip not a top sirloin I will not be back old world meats is a much better butcher I will not be back to any stokke's location again. Poor service and poor meet cutters.
