Awesome meat shop. There's a large variety of packages meats. Ranging from raw dog food to chicken nuggets to seasoned steaks. They also have some cheese and jerky selections. The meat isn't locally sourced, but it's a great deal.

My boys love their raw breaded chicken tenders that we fry, along with the seasoned potato wedges...they have a whole aray of meat products to choose from. They also have meat packages at certain prices, that are very reasonably priced. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Really cool butcher shop, not at all what I was expecting. Was very clean and very well thought out. All the meat is cut fresh, vacuum sealed and frozen in small portions. No freezer butcher paper or asking to wrap steaks individually because they already are! Great prices for meat packs, and great customer service, and they even made the visit exciting for my puppy as well when they offered a puppy treat for her! I will be going back very frequently. They even take EBT for payment.

AWESOME. Last time I visited, they were out of marrow bones and they offered to cut down some knuckle bones to give me the middle marrow bone and not charge me for the entire bone, just the marrow middle, wow, thank you!! I go there often for the best fresh frozen meats I have ever found in California. They have jerky too. They have THE MOST nutritious pet food. I pray the Lord blesses them with many more locations.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Kelly who is the owners Mikes daughter she talks to her customers as if she does not want them to ever come back. I purchased 3 boxes of raw dog food and the Turkey bubbled up and was spoiled, mind you the meat was stored in a freezer. I called to have to meat exchanged for fresh, It was NOT even 30 days yet, she said she could not do that because no else complained about the meat so she offered 20% off when I tried to use the 20% off she denied because she said I was trying to combined discounts. She was referring to the discount you already receive when you purchase a certain amount already. I was not ok with that because my dog need her food and so I feed her one of the turkeys and she ate it then throw up outside! That's frustrating. Kelly tried to disguise her "kind tone" as not being rude or helpful. I bought big orders for 4 months never had a problem until just this order! They did not want to loss out on "profit" so bad that they lost a lifetime customer. The owner Mike still has not returned my calls as I left him 4 messages. Their lose not mine. People if you get anything from this PLEASE give yourself the respect you desire because one else will. The businesses need you to survive so you should get that respect as their customer. If you dont get it. Refuse your service they will feel it!

The customer service is terrible. They left out 6 pounds of ground beef from my order and then just send me a picture of meat not in a box or with any real proof they actually sent it and essentially called me a liar. Yeah because I would lie about 6 pounds of meat. All I wanted was what I ordered and instead I get condescending responses and hung up on. Response- they are lying they sent me a picture that could be from any order. Why would I lie about not receiving meat I just wanted what I ordered.

They have great meat! All kinds. Reasonable priced packages and you can substitute some. I buy a small meat package and it feeds me for over a month. You can even get ur meat tenderized and seasoned. I like the seasoned but prefer to do it myself.

Two months ago we went here and I got charged 5 times in the amount of $258.32, each. My card kept saying it was declining. Finally my husband paid with his card. When I went to call my bank it said I was over drawn by $600 and there were 5 matching charges. I went back inside and showed them my online banking. They assured me they was no logged charge from my card. Took my information down and would call me if anything showed up on their end of day report. The next day the charges were still there. I called them. They claimed there was no charges and refused to credit back my account. I called my bank and they said the charges would drop off but Mad Butcher should release the failed charges. They refused. Finally the charges dropped off 2 weeks later. Well guess what? Today I have a new charge in the amount of $258.32 on my bank account. It caused me to be overdrawn and late fees will now hit as bills are also coming through. I will be calling them. Calling my bank and filing a report with the police today.

This place is amazing. The staff is so helpful and nice. No one ever seems bothered by all my questions! They have a GREAT selection of raw fresh pet food and the prices can not be beat. They even offer on line ordering which is so simple and easy and you don't pay until you pick up the order. And I can't say enough about how clean the place is!!! I am so glad I found the mad butcher!!!

I was in the Sacramento area yesterday so I figure I’d stop and check out there meat selection. Nothing was fresh that I could see. Pretty much everything frozen solid In deep freezers. Not a huge deal breaker. I wanted to get a beef brisket to smoke on Sunday in my Traeger so for 65 bucks for a 4-6 lbs brisket wasn’t a bad deal till I get home and Thaw this brisket out over night only to find its cut up in 6-8 sections..the lady I spoke to said it was a whole brisket. Clearly it was not whole! Pretty upset I asked a question and got an awnser that wasn’t true..I don’t think I will be coming back. I’ll take my money and go else where..

Very nice staff and manager! My wife and I didn't realize we were running low on their raw pet food but we were unable to get to the shop as we were quite far away. Called the shop asking if they do delivery and they said they would soon, but they can ship me the pet food in the meantime. My wife was originally texting the manager to get the raw pet food shipped to us but it wasn't going to ship to us for another day or two. The manager came up with such a good idea! She said we would save more money if we called an Uber to the store to send us the pet food instead of paying shipping or waiting. Really excellent service and good thinking to save the day! I'll keep a closer eye on our pet food supply next time but thank you Mad Butcher for being flexible and saving the day!

If anyone wants any fresh meat, especially pork, beef and chicken, I recommend you to go to a butcher shop or a slaughter house, where fresh meats are given. Many flesh meats places i went seem ok. It looks fresh but it doesn't taste fresh.

Wow!!! Just wow... when I first ordered the meats I was very skeptic of the price. It was around or just a bit more than what I’d buy for meats from Walmart or Winco (and I like good quality meats! So I don’t go cheap on meat!) Then the delivery seems impossibly fast. The meat come just few minutes early! Opened the box... I was floored! They really don’t skimp on anything! No huge chunks of fat that they try to pass off as meat. No trimming the size down a bit. None of that! All of it was pure good meat at extremely reasonable price! Was jumping up and down and telling everyone about this company!!! Definitely won me as a customer right there!

Karen was out of control and the manager did not even come out to speak to me at all. Very rude and no respect at all period. Update. Don't waste your time. All the meats are frozen and old. The date on the meat I bought was almost 18 months old. Brought it back for a refund and demanded an explanation from the manager. His response was "we don't have time to check the dates on the meats that we sell". Seriously!?!?

The taste sample sold me and we are not disappointed. The price cannot be beat! Anything purchased from The Mad Butcher can be counted on to be high quality. I had a question about not being able to see my tracking with FedEx, so I emailed MB to see if this was normal. I was so surprised to have the owner call me and to take it upon herself to personally track my package until the day it arrived. She called me around 7:30pm the day it was delivered to make sure everything was good with the order. Amazed with the customer service And products I received!!!
