Have been to Cline’s a couple times since moving to the area a few months ago. Each time we’ve been greeted with warmth and treated like regulars. Staff are all nice and knowledgable, owner is friendly and has been front of house each time we’ve been - ready to answer any questions or make recommendations. The meat we’ve bought has been exceptionally fresh, well-marbled, great cuts - truly sensational. We’ve tried each variation of their house-made butter (the bone marrow and truffle are our favorite variations - shocker!), have purchased coal (great quality and price), in addition to seasoning blends they have on hand, and fresh herbs/veggies. Every single thing we’ve bought has been spot-on. I absolutely love this market. Last time we visited, we went to another local butcher shop on the same day. We got the same cut of steak to compare - they were admittedly different in quality - Cline’s a higher grade of meat , which we knew when buying - and while the meat itself was obviously WAY better from Cline’s, the experience itself was what really set them apart. Cline’s has a restriction of 4 people in the shop at a time with masks (given our current worldly circumstances) while the other shop had a sign on the door but was not enforcing masks (we counted 6 people that visited while we were there with no masks). Cline’s has no noticeable smell indoors, the other shop smelled like it was rotting. The visual selection of meat was also like night and day: every cut vibrant and bright red (where applicable) from Cline’s while the other butcher shop looked dingy, old and pale in comparison. In summary, Cline’s will be the only specialty meat market I will visit when we are looking for a treat, or for a special occasion. Prices are higher than what you’ll find at the grocery store, but that’s because you’re buying a higher quality of meat. It is by no means a knock on Cline’s, it’s what you expect. You get what you pay for. We love you Cline’s!

My first time in Cline's and not my last! I went in for a steak and to see if they had any beef fat that I could buy since I like to make my own sausage and burgers. The owner was very kind and handed me a sealed bag of ground beef fat that was 5 lbs. She said she just ground it fresh this morning and told me no charge. I had them cut me an inch and a 1/4 dry aged ribeye and after they sliced it they butchered off the extra fat around the steak as to not charge it to me. Then of which I would have had to take it home and clean it up more, but they took care of making it grill ready. Fantastic experience, great selection of steaks, and staff was very friendly and helpful! Hands down the best butcher shop I have been to in the Jacksonville area and I have tried them all!

Cline’s is an amazing butcher shop and much more! I am always greeted by the gentleman (owner?) behind the case with a great smile. There is a wide selection of chicken, beef, etc. to choose from at reasonable prices. There is also produce, honey, jam, bread, etc. for a one stop shop for a fabulous dinner or brunch!

Super pleased to have this gem in our neighborhood. Open 7 days a week and serving up great meats. Got prime dry aged NY Strips last night. Marbling and flavor were top notch. It is a bit pricey but there is no comparison between choice grade supermarket meats and what they have. I have also had ribeyes and fillets and all were awesome. Will keep going back. Love supporting the locally owned business as well.

10/10 would recommend Cline’s Custom Meats Butcher Shop in San Marco. I picked up some beautiful NY strips to cook for dinner and they were delicious. They had a great selection of meats and cheeses and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. It was clean and didn’t have a weird smell like a lot of butcher shops I’ve been to in the past. Pics didn’t happen because my family gobbled it all up too quickly ????????‍♀️

I am a regular Cline's customer, and am thrilled to share a great review of this sensational establishment. Every week I look forward to steak night and going to shop for it at Cline's, aka "Meat Heaven". Whether you want a Wagu ribeye, A5 Kobe steaks, tomohawks, or just a good angus steak their meats are off the chart and available in virtually every cut configuration. They also have fabulous meats for smoking like brisket, beef ribs, and chicken from the best producers, and some of the best lamb and veal we have ever tasted. Not only are the meats fabulous, but they also have excellent produce and extras fresh from local farms. They also have some great seafood choices, like sushi grade tuna, stone crab and king crab. The prices are very reasonable, and the value is orders of magnitude better than any premium steak restaurant. Finally, owners Joe and Louda Cline, and their excellent staff work hard to provide every customer with great service, and have the knowledge and experience to help you enjoy all they offer. Highest recommendation, it is a pleasure and a privilege to shop at Cline's. Definitely a local treasure!

There are several places in this growing food town where you can get a good strip steak to grill with local veggies. But not a cut like the one you"ll get at Cline's...not to mention duck...lamb...its a new arrival, and my guess is its gonna be around a long, long time!

My boyfriend and I are big foodies and love steak. We got a wagyu steak that we cooked on the egg and it was by far the best cut of meat we’ve had in a long time! We get steaks from Ruth’s Chris, III Forks and Cowfords Chophouse and this surpasses them all. We’ve tried getting good cuts from Publix, Whole Foods, and Fresh Market but the quality here surpasses everything.

This is the best butcher in Jacksonville by far. I drive all the way from St. Augustine to buy steaks from theses guys at least a few times a month. I ordered a dry age prime rib roast from them for Christmas dinner. There was a mix up and I ended up getting a none dry age roast instead. I was bummed but the wife was happy because she really doesn’t like dry aged meat. Anyways, the owner called me on Christmas Eve about the mixup and asked if I still wanted the dry age roast. I’m like sure! I drove up there expecting to pay half price or something like that, but instead he gave me the dry age for free! That was an awesome x-mas gift. We ended up with so much meat I was able to give some to another family to have with their Christmas dinner. This is definitely my go to butcher for sure!! Great selection, excellent customer service, and friendly staff. Pro-Tip Get the dry age and top it with their truffle butter. Thanks!!!

Small market shopping gives life to everyday eating and Cline's Custom Meat does just that. It has ample parking and is located across from Good Dough, one block from the San Marco Library. Perfect for a scheduled or impromptu visit. The shop may be small but everything in it is selected with care... Two main cases with everything from house made lamb sausage to roasts. Selections will vary. One uncharacteristically thrilling frozen case, featuring the highest quality seafood, quail, ground bison. My mind was racing with stay in dinner date options. One refrigerator with cheese, olives, smoked salmon etc. I am very into cheese and his selection included 2 of my favorites. The owner opened a jar of cow goat blend feta, I believe he said, it was smooth and is a definite crowd pleaser. One rack of French Pantry bread, yes you read that correctly, and local produce. As well as Cross Creek honey, select spices, and nuts. One stop shopping. Truly a pleasure. My dad and I were so caught up talking to the owners we shamefully didn't formally introduce ourselves to him and his wife, who were there working. I say this because they have hand chosen the San Marco community for their {business} home. They are real people helping bring love through food. Go by, and do what I didn't, introduce yourself!

Let me start this review by saying that I do not live in Jacksonville. I was looking for something of a specialty item for awhile, and could not find it in and around my city. After one call to Cline’s custom meats, I was informed that they could get what I needed in less than 24 hours, and that they only needed to know how much I wanted. Needless to say I was beyond happy with the customer service and made a two hour trip to complete the purchase. For anyone in and around Jacksonville, I highly recommend Cline’s custom meats!!

I ABSOLUTELY love this place. I have not seen a decent butcher in I can't remember when. They have a variety of meats, as well as, cheese, deli meats, olives, honey, jams, rice, bones for the dogs (and soup ;)). The people who own and work here are so helpful and patient. Got a 2.5lb porterhouse steak here this morning for a Father's Day gift for my dad. Absolutely fantastic cut of beef! You'll pay for the quality, but this ain't no Winn-Dixie steak. Reverse sear to ensure it was cooked through and it came out so tender and delicious! Was the first time I've ever seen dad not use any sauce on a steak. He was adamant about not being able to finish it all but I'm looking at the bare bone as I write this. Long story short, thanks for the great cut of meat! Will definitely be back!

I've been to clines a few times now....and man it gets better every time. I can basically custom order any meat I want and get it in a few days. Pricing quotes are accurate. The quality and small business feel is amazing. They're nice, they'll answer all of your questions, and they have a seasoning in store to help you cook it right the first time. Great all around local business that earns your money every time you enter the store.

I will not ruin a perfect rating mainly because they are perfect. There isn't one thing that I got from them that wasn't top notch PERFECT. We drive downtown from the beaches.
