Edit: The gentleman is no longer there. They have been very pleasant to work with. Not sure if they have some people working there who are new to the butcher business or not but there have been a few mistakes that we have discovered with our meat cuts (just minor mistakes that have been annoying). Planning on probably taking our other cattle there when the time comes.
Honestly, if I could put a zero star rating I would. I felt extremely uncomfortable going in there. I was treated horribly by the older gentleman there. He was very pushy and rude to me. He refused to let me pay for the services when I was told that I needed to pay at the time of service. I'm not trying to be a sensitive person (I know what the animals are brought there for) however, he almost acted like he was going to put my cow down right in front of me! I bottle fed this steer! What? No! I didn't feel welcome or appreciated there (definitely was not treated like a customer should be). Later when I went in to pay for the services I brought it to the manager's attention, she was apologetic and said that she would talk to him. He walked into the room and she brought it up to him, he didn't seem remorseful at all, and started to walk away. He stopped, turned around and tried it make it sound like it was my fault, then left the room. He was allowed to do this. As far as I know, there have been no repercussions for his actions. His customer service skills, heck his basic communication skills were absolutely appalling! I have never been treated like that anywhere and am in shock that it has been allowed to happen here. I just hope this doesn't happen to another person!
