Was very informative about diff steaks and beef cuts. Everything is fresh, everyone is friendly in that store, I hope they all get a well deserved pay raise due to the amazing hospitality they provide. I am only buying my meats from this place. Will never waste my time at market basket or stop and shop ever again.

First time here and it was a pleasant experience. The employees were all very nice and helpful, they didn't have any skewers for sale so they gave me some of theirs! Happy to shop at a business that looks out for their customers. Prices are good and checkout was easy. Love Alpine Butcher! They go above and beyond to take great care of everyone. They are one of the only places around that provide high end offerings such as Dry Aged Steaks, Berkshire Pork and Locally sourced Grass fed beef. All their beef is 100% Prime all the time. So I went to Lowell Provision only to find out they closed. There was a sign with a number which was nice. Would have been nicer if they took down their Google maps page, but whatever. Thesign said the new name was Alpine Butcher. I called to see if they had fresh grass fed beef, to which the young man sounding replied yes, so I drove down there. They do not have fresh grass fed steaks. They have frozen grass fed beef. Why would I go to a butcher to buy frozen food? Totally dissatisfied. Can I also say it was dangerous pulling out onto Chelmsford rd.

Really great quality meats. Nice selection of spices, sauces, and other specialty products. The hot sandwiches are good (turkey and carmelized onion panini is AWESOME). They also have some cool stuff in the freezer toward the back, like alligator and camel meat. Finally, the staff was helpful and polite. I spoke with probably five different people on my visit and each was enthusiastic to help. Can't wait to go back!

In the time I have been dealing with them I have only two issues - one was my error - but both were taken care of instantly and with great customer service. What can you say other than Genius! This place is amazing from the staff, to the building to the history as being the continuation of Lowell Provisions Co. The owners are very friendly and know so much about their industry - while willing to teach/answer any and all questions you may have. We frequent this facility for lunch and always are extremely happy with the fresh sandwiches, and other items we get. They always impress everyone that we refer here as well making us look good in the end. I recommend the spicy boom boom if you like roast beef.

Love this place. FRIDAY JUNE 12th 2020 i needed to come back and review this because i still firmly believe that this is the best butcher to date. from the Japanese and Australian wagyu, to the amazing deals like the $75 sizzler package. The customer service is still phenomenal and the vibes in the butcher are even better. Juan and Dom are just two of many great workers that are willing to get you what you need, and get to know their clientele. Great business and service! will tell everyone to come here like always!

This is not a huge place but it has everything! They make their own sausage and burgers. Plus you can make your own burger flavors with a variety of different ingredients on site. Their beef, chicken, and pork selection is diverse. They have limited seafood but what they do have come directly off the boats in Boston. They also have a large selection of frozen wild game meats. Antelope, alligator, venison, and much more. Plus if you mention it is your first time they will give you loads of free meats. This place will be my go to from now on!

I ordered a 12oz miyazaki A5 wagyu ribeye. it came in the mail frozen and perfectly preserved in a vacuum sealed bag. it was delivered on time. sadly it did not come with a copy of the certificate of authenticity. I hastily contacted Alpine Butcher, and within five minutes a man by the name of Tom Doyle got me the certificate by email. . TLDR: 5/5, everything came on time, the wagyu was legitimate, the wagyu was preserved well, and the customer service was amazing. I now know where to buy all my wagyu!

Pricing here is a high for your meats you can find right across the way over at Stop & Shop, which also has been getting more aggressive on price and quality. Versus Market Basket, Alpine Butcher is a clear winner for quality though. Service is great, and you can find some high end products you won't find at least for a good 5 mile radius otherwise.

This is a perfect butcher shop. The meat is high quality, so it is more expensive than a supermarket. I've never bought better steaks, and their seafood is fresh and delicious. Everything we have tried (pork chops, sausage, bacon, farm eggs, milk, their own lunch meat and beef jerky they make in house, the baby back ribs, scallops, and salmon) has been incredible. The butcher is happy to provide instructions on how to cook whatever you're buying. The staff is great, kind, and very helpful. They also sell a select variety of fresh fruit and vegetables even have beer and wine. Their prepared food I've tried is superb too.

After moving away from the north east, I struggled to find a quality butcher being that I live in pork/ chicken country (Nashville). I started looking online for mail order beef but for the most part all I found was CRAZY expensive. Either you paid $70+ a pound or you had to buy 10 pounds at a time and I just never pulled the trigger because of this. Flash forward to today and all I can say is how elated I am that I found Alpine Butcher. Their steaks are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. True prime beef, none of the "upper choice" marketing bs. I wanted to do the weekend right so I ordered 2 fliets of which I smoked at 275 until their internal temp was 115 and then reverse seared them to achieve a nice all over crust which between that and carry over, finished the steaks at 125-130 internal temp... Perfect medium rare. When I received the shipment everything looked great, though I had a question I was able to ask the owner about via email and he was prompt in his response and answered beyond my satisfaction. In the end, I will definitely be a repeat customer, I highly recommend you try these guys, they're awesome!

I am a frequent shopper at Alpine. I absolutely love this store! The owners Tom and Greg are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and their influence is felt throughout the store. The staff is always courteous and accommodating! The food is amazing! The USDA Prime beef is the best anywhere the pork and chicken are of the highest quality! From the house made deli meats to the store made marinades everything is sublime! The marketplace is stocked full of locally sourced products and the craft beer selection is superb. While you're there I recommend grabbing a bite to eat because their sandwiches and salads are wonderfully delicious. I have been buying foods at the Alpine Butcher for about three years. One day on August 15, 2017 while I went to that store, one of the owners told me that I am no longer welcome at their store because of the parking lot incident, which happened about four months ago and I did not do anything wrong. During that incident in April of 2017, I bought foods at Alpine Butcher and I ate my lunch inside my car while parking there. Then one of the owners (the short brother) came to me and knocked on my car's window and said that I shouldn't be spending time inside my car for a long time at the parking lot and I told him that I am just eating my lunch and using my cell phone and I will leave soon. I used to like to spend time at that parking lot because it was usually nice and quiet and I had always parked my car far away from other cars. This guy actually knows me because I was his regular customer. It was not like the first time that he has seen me at his store. Then he said that I can't spend time too long at the parking lot because the property owner will tow my car. Then I said "really, there are only about 3 cars at the parking lot during that time and there are so empty spaces." Most of the people who work there are fake people. The two owners pretend to be nice and friendly, but they appears to be prejudiced and racist and they have ego issues. One of their employees, which is the young kid who usually gave me a dirty look every time I went to that store. I was surprise that on August 15, 2017 at 10:30 am, one of the owners told me that I am no longer welcome at their store or else he will call the police on me. I did not threaten, harm, disrespect or steal from anyone while I was at his store. I believe that it is 100% wrong for a store owner to tell me that I am longer welcome at their store when I didn't do anything wrong. I hope that their store will go bankruptcy soon. About four months ago, I had a conversation with his brother (one of the owners, the short brother) and he did not told me that I was not welcome at his store or he will call the police on, he just told me that the property owner doesn't like it when I spend time too long at their store's parking lot. Since the incident on April of 2017, I only went to that store twice. I think the reason why he said that I no longer welcome at their store is because I don't go their store regularly like before because they know that I was not happy with what they have said to me. People like them shouldn't run a business because they are unfriendly, delusional, disrespectful, and rude. I just hope that less people will shop at their store in the future. Since they are longer welcoming me to the store, I am fine with that because there are better grocery stores that sell great quality, fresh, clean, and better deal on foods than the Alpine Butcher.

I went to Alpine for the first time on Sunday 7/26/20. The store was pretty busy. I just wanted to say that Juan was the most helpful butcher I have ever had ever. He was happy to help more like excited to help. It’s great that you have staff that love their job. Just wanted to share that this will be the only butcher shop I plan to visit going forward. Highly recommend! Super clean facility and super friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I stopped by to look for good pieces of steak, rather than the down street at Market Basket and Stop n Shop. Juan was great, super helpful and had all the information we needed and how to cook the steaks. It was our first time there, so he was great with helping us decide the selections and understood our budget. Steak turned out great and we will definitely be back. We tried one of their Spicy Boom Boom wraps, definitely a little kick with the sauce but meh. Probably wouldnt get it again.

Bought a roast beef sub asked to see the product and it looked good nice and rare. Got home and the roast beef was all brown barely any lettuce and tomatoe. Might try another kind of sub, but not sure. So far not a fan of there subs. All the sandwich meats should be cut when u order the sub.

Meat selection is amazing. They do tons of in house marinades and specials. Their duck bacon and jerky are to die for! So many local spice rub and marinade options it will make your head spin. The food here is of excellent quality, the employees better! It's not hard to get excited about this butcher shop! Aged beef, hand made burgers, sausage and Wagyu imported beef, a true carnivores delight. They make sandwiches here for take out. We went here expecting fat, delicious sandwiches and were sorely disappointed. We waited well over 10 minutes for our sandwiches (despite minimal tickets up - the staff even acknowledged at the end that it had been a while and thanked us for our patience, which we appreciated). The real disappointment was the sandwiches themselves. I don’t know what kind of place serves a “loaded” Italian sub with a mere 3 slices thick of deli meat. The toppings were tasty, but I didn’t pay $10.99 for lettuce and tomatoes on bread.

Very disappointed in this butcher--especially after reading all the reviews. I called ahead and asked them to pound chicken breasts for cutlets. When I got the package home I found the breasts had been cut but not pounded. I won't be going to Alpine again. I can buy breasts at Market Basket!

I'm new to the area and was searching out new places to get my "provisions" I LOVED the personalized service and the vast array of items for sale. Everything I bought was delicious, fresh and fairly priced. I'm not a fan of large grocery stores, so having all the basics and fresh produce along with the deli, custom cut butchery and fresh seafood is a huge bonus in my book. They have prepared meals to just pop in the over (the stuffed porkchops with apple and walnuts looked incredible) and have a unique selection of game meats too. I can't wait to go back!

This is the best butcher shop around! Amazing selections of products. Tom sold me a luscious cut of uncured bacon and gave some tips and advice on how to cure and smoke it. It came out mind-blowing delicious. He also gave me steak and cheese sausages and garlic sausages for free. Seriously, best sausages I have ever had!! Their staff is incredibly friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and far beyond helpful. I called with a few more questions about smoking the bacon, Greg answered everything I needed to know. For all my meat needs I'm going to Alpine Butcher. They have no competition.

Install the app before you go and earn rewards on your first purchase. They carry a little bit of everything. Fine selection of beef, chicken, and pork, plus sausages, including some for breakfast. Full deli and subs/sandwiches. Have a look in the frozen case for some uncommon selections.

We found this place online and took a chance. It was almost an hour from us but it was well worth it! We walked in having very little clue on what we wanted. We originally thought it was just going to be a butcher shop but it was so much more! They had a variety of meats, cheese, beer, wine, but they also had grocery items like bread, desserts, pasta, seasoning, and sauces. Every staff member we spoke to was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly! We ended up leaving with four steaks and a bottle of wine. Two of the steaks ended up being wagyu and came with certificates of authenticity!

Alpine Butcher is by far the best butcher shop in the area. Very high quality meats at reasonable prices. Best steaks I have ever had! They sell seafood too, but only if it's fresh and high quality, which is the only way I want it. The staff is very professional, polite, and goes above and beyond to service the customers - nothing cookie cutter here. Also, my dog loves their marrow bones, which they will cut in half for me. I got 4 nice bones for $5.00 and they keep him busy and happy for hours, literally hours. Thanks guys! Great job!
