The Hill Butcher Shop is the best. The team thrives to offer good services with a personal touch. I've been going there for over a decade and I don't intend on changing butcher anytime soon. Their Kabobs are simply amazing, and don't ask them for their marinade recipe, I tried.

We have been customers of The Hill Butcher Shop since 1998 when we first moved into the neighborhood. When we downsized in 2017, we drove the extra kilometers because no one offers a better tasting steak than this place. Truly, you can taste the difference. Also excellent: Chicken Cordon Bleu, ground beef, filet mignon, fresh turkeys, and just about anything else they offer. Excellent, friendly staff, a true treasure in Ottawa. I particularly love that I can call and order ahead. Plenty of free parking and prices are reasonable.

We ordered 5 ribeye steaks, 1" thick and nicely marbled. Jean offered advice on how best to BBQ them which we followed. The steaks were absolutely perfect - each was about 12 ounces. The Hill Butcher Shop is an excellent local business to support. Highly recommended!
