Absolutely fantastic butcher with a wide variety of meats, cuts and sausages. They have wagyu beef that is extremely marbled (not sure of rating) but it's certainly isn't cheap. Available is 90 day and 180 day dry age meats! Highly recommend even if it's just to have a look.

I ordered 2 Wagyu patties and a tartiflette. Unfortunately, Ubereats doesn’t allow me to select buns when buying the patties. So I then called to see if they kindly add 2 buns in the order. Well.. it looks like it’s not an option since 1.50$ per bun is too much for them to add as a gratuity. He asked me to process another order to buy sparkling water to cover the price of the bread (5$ + ubereats fees) I mean I get it guys, you’re running a business but we are talking about hamburger buns that should come with the patties. Food for thought! I appreciate your quick response but I was not asking for free patties. I am glad to pay for them I just thought it would be nice to be offered 2 buns as opposed to be asked to order another items which I don’t want to compensate for the 3.00$ fee. Thank you.

Passed by fluke and my colleague says this place is a hidden gem for everything to with meat ???? Well - I try to reduce my environmental impact so meat isn’t high up on the menu, but options Beyond Meat has light years of research left to do before my BBQ will surrender. You will leave this place like a child having met Santa ???? because everyone in the world knows when they taste great quality. So don’t bother coming here if you are kind of grocery shopper who buys pork at Costco only when they have a $5 discount on the flanks. Finding a parking will be harder, but I would walk miles to come back. Made me think of Queue de Cheval and they food that used to be served there.

Good service and some fancy international products. They have some peppercorns from Le comptoir des poivres which I discovered about (and all the types of possible peppercorns I wasn't aware of) on a YouTube channel. To my delight, I saw they had some! And the exact one I wanted to try! Yay! It'll cost ya tho. They have some prêt-à-manger stuff to buy and heat at home. Things ranging from chicken pot pie, lasagna, beef bourguignon, etc. I got the muahroom garganelli which was excellent! The beef bourguignon is good although, a tad too salty. They have some oils, some artisan chips, wines, drinks, lots of mustards to accompany your steaks. They of course have a lotttttt of meat. Aged, pre marinated, etc. And the pre marinated stuff looked more fancy and quality than what you'd find at the grocery store, obviously. They also have a sandwich counter in the back! Everything looked so delicious. They were well priced too, 7.25-10.25+tx range.

One of the best butchers in the city, that I know of, if one is looking for a good selection of high end cuts of both aged and fresh steaks. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Their pork products are also excellent. Not inexpensive, however if one wants to splurge of a great steak go there. The 50 day dry aged Angus AAAwas fantastic. On a par with Cumbraie farms in TO.

One of the best butchers in town! Great selection of beef, with choices from multiple regions for their origin and also aged choices. There are also great pork options and some chicken. I highly recommend the burgers!

Small butcher shop offering mostly beef cuts including Japanese Waygu. Prices are high, but the quality seems to match it. They do offer a few hot sanwiches for a reasonable price as well as some frozen items. Parking is a bit difficult but just be patient. Not wheelchair accessible.

Top quality meat, best butcher I have been to in Montreal. Definitely try their wagyu. Just some advice when aging meat do research on the outcome and how long. I was recommended 2 months but for me it was to long, tasted like aged sausage and prosciutto. I would recommend 21 days but everyone is different, I give them 5 start because of their service and quality cuts.

They were extremely patient in handling all of my questions. I didn't get to ask for their names, but the two guys that were working this evening were very helpful. As it was my first visit, I walked into the shop and had no idea how it worked and where the meat was. Knowledgable and friendly. That's all there is needed to say about the staff. Made sure to tip them to show my appreciation for great service. As for the meat itself, the quality was fantastic. I'd definitely be going back there often as I was looking for my daily butcher whenever i'm in Montreal. Bought the Beef Tenderloin (Filet Mignon) and the Wagyu T-Bone.

My wife and I have been to Grinder twice now, and I must say both times have been a great experience. Minor quibbles aside, this is a very good restaurant with great service and food, except for the seasonal vegetables, stay away from those. The highlight of the restaurant is the meat, my first time I tried the 8oz hanger steak with there amazing mashed potatoes. The second time I tried there 20 Oz chauteaubriand, both dishes were home runs. The oysters are very fresh and the tartar was succulent. If you haven't been to Grinder, don't hesitate, it's worth it.

Most definitely not worth the hype...or the price. This unfortunately seems to be the trend nowadays, shops with an inflated sense of ego, and an inflated price. The attitude is my shop is unique my products are rare and the experience makes it worth it. I go to a butcher shop for good meat, not an experience. The meat here is nothing you cant get dozens of other butcher shops in this city and there is no reason to pay the price you do. Got ribs and wagyu burgers there and I can tell you they weren't worth the price I paid. More and more I'm getting disappointed in the new generation of shop owners who feel they can overcharge for average products because their establishment is special.

The food taste was good...not great but good. Very disappointing to pay 37$ for one Cesar salad and one philly cheese steak and the salad is not even full size. Don’t be fooled. It was tasty but not out of this world and certainly not worth the price paid. Sorry Grinder but you need to up your game or lower your prices....

By far the best butcher shop in Montréal. Excellent service, super knowledgeable and will cut you and do anything you want. Plus when you really stop 2 minutes to count the price difference of your actual meal compared to one from IGA, you won't be eating your meat anywhere else.
