When we got home we noticed 4 steaks were missing. So far, no problem. An error happens. We then get in touch with the company to determine a time when we will come back for the missing items. At the time of the determined appointment, we show up to collect everything. This is when no one is aware of this error. After more than fifteen minutes of waiting, we are told that the person we contacted is not here today, and that they cannot contact her. I am asked to come back another time. I can explain it all, offer to show the email discussions that confirmed the recovery, nothing to do. After a discussion in a higher tone, the person goes back inside and comes back with a bag of 4 items (not the missing ones) telling me that it is from the owner. The standard when a company makes a mistake is to easily fix it and apologize. Above the norm, it is also to offer a little something to be forgiven. Below the standard, this makes it complicated. And really at the bottom of the ladder is when we have to speak up and we get something by getting rid of ourselves. Before today, we had already consumed several items from the box in question. Nous avons vu une offre concernant une boite de plusieurs coupes et sortes de viande et nous l'avons acheté. Une fois à la maison, nous avons remarqué qu'il manquait 4 steak. Jusque là, pas de problème. Une erreur, ça arrive. On prend alors contact avec l'entreprise pour déterminer un moment où nous reviendrons chercher les items manquants. Au moment du rendez-vous déterminé, nous nous présentons pour récupérer le tout. C'est alors que personne n'est au courant de cette erreur. Après plus d'une quinzaine de minutes d'attente, on se fait dire que la personne que nous avons contactée n'est pas là aujourd'hui, et qu'ils ne peuvent la contacter. On me demande de revenir une autre fois. J'ai beau expliquer le tout, offrir de montrer les discussions par courriel qui nous confirmaient la récupération, rien à faire. Après une discussion avec un ton plus élevé, la personne retourne à l'intérieur et revient avec un sac de 4 items (pas ceux manquants) en me disant que ça vient du propriétaire. La norme quand une compagnie fait une erreur, c'est de la réparer aisément et de s'excuser. Au-dessus de la norme, c'est d'en plus, offrir un petit quelque chose pour se faire pardonner. En dessous de la norme, c'est rendre cela compliqué. Et vraiment en bas de l'échelle, c'est quand on est obligé de lever le ton et on reçoit quelque chose en se débarrassant de nous. Avant aujourd'hui, nous avions déjà consommé plusieurs items de la boite en question. Le goût de la viande est en tous points comparable à ce qui se trouve dans une bonne épicerie. Nous avons maintenant 2 bonnes raisons de ne pas y retourner. C'est dommage. On appelle ça une occasion ratée.
