Although the selection is fine, and people are nice, there is no way to effectively social distance in the store. There are no directional aisles, although the aisles are narrow. The till area is very crowded, meaning you must walk through a big crowd to leave, or stand in a long crowded line to pay. I was very disappointed when I visited recently. Only go if you want the plague. ☠

I like going there late in the day, and they're open until 8. Very few people are there around supper time and later. Less chance of being exposed to Covidiots. ( People that aren't cautious about exposure!) I dropped a brand new 1/2" drive ratchet in 30 feet deep water, while attempting to tighten my outboard motor mount. It is from a 33 piece set that sells for $129.oo! The ratchet alone, to replace is $89.99 ! Makes no logic to me. Just though I'd throw that in. So I'm going without it. Otherwise, Canadian Tire has everything.

As a mother of twin toddlers, who is forced to carry a large amount of supplies around on a daily basis, in a backpack; this locations unwavering dedication to their asinine "no backpacks" rule is, in my opinion, discriminatory to those of us who choose to cary a backpack. I refuse to leave my backpack with their staff, so thus I also unable to shop at this location. A little understanding and flexibility in regards to individuals life circumstances would go a long way towards creating a positive customer experience in this situation.

As someone just trying to see if they have a 2017 Honda Civic spare tire, including myself and 9 other customers were waiting for a long time. The employees completely disregard the phone line so for anyone trying to call - don't bother. A customer in front of me complained about waiting for an hour just trying to return something. My partner and I walk everywhere. We used to frequent Canadian tire until the other day when they made a new rule about men wearing backpacks. I say men, because my partner and I were both wearing backpacks and he was asked to leave his at the front and when I asked if I needed to as well they answered no. We both carry our personal belongings such as our keys, wallets, extra bags and inhalers in our packs and I felt very frustrated that a store would make only my boyfriend remove his, but have no issues with ladies extra large purses or my backpack. We both have stopped being Canadian Tire customers and will remain that way. We have buying power and choose to use it where it feels right.

There is no one there on the floor to help you . A big store with no employees to serve you. Only 1 cash opened to do sales and refunds . Absolutely nobody in parts , and if there is , they are to lazy to go upstairs and find the item . You have to admit Canadian Tire has a huge selection. Nothing to complain about other than the Overseas import smell of products. Their automotive section is great for selection. One thing they could do to improve service to have enough cashiers at the tills. Nothing is worse than being treated like sheep in a narrow line up and then they only open up 2 cashiers to make the lineup wait time very annoying. It's a sign they only care about money.

We must have visited on an off day- it was a Saturday and very busy. Had to get a car part from the parts desk- only one poor associate working the desk and was busy for quite some time helping the gentleman in front of me find a specific part. Meanwhile, myself and several others stood in line waiting for assistance while two other associates in the auto service department sat and watched. It wasn't until about 10 minutes of standing around that the one associate from the other desk decided to walk over and help. Then went to sporting goods and had to wait around again for another associate to help me get bear spray. Once at the checkout line, we were assisted with one a young woman who obviously was not having a good day- was very short and didn't even give me a chance to scan my Triangle rewards card. Not sure if it's a management issue, a staffing issue, or what- but every Canadian Tire employee we dealt with was not pleasant that day. I get it- customer service is a tough gig- but to have that many people seemingly unhappy at their jobs means that something is going on at that particular store.

I have been calling over an hour to the Canadian Tire store in Corner Brook Newfoundland. It is disgusting that nobody can answer the phone there or if they answer the phone they hang up on me. I am still calling this store with no success. Very dissatisfied if there was a star for zero I would have clicked it. This is a review for the garden centre. I called 4 times because the people answering the phone didnt know how to transfer to different departments when they didnt know the answer. Obviously the people i spoke to were trying to help but even the person in the plant or seasonal department didnt know what an echinacea was... i was kind of hoping the person answering the phone would be capable of answering the question specific to their department. They were suoer nice and i totally understand that its difficult when people call, but why have a phone if its not helpful.

I placed an order to pick up in store over a month ago and was getting no updates. Sent an email about it weeks ago and got no response. It said they had zero in stock in store but every other store on the island has the item I wanted so I don’t get why it was taking so long. Went in store yesterday and they had so many on the shelf but my order was just still processing and no one had responded to my email still. Also the parking lot was an icy mess when other parking lots in the same complex were much better. You clearly sell salt and snow shovels - spread some of that stuff to make it a safer, less stressful experience for customers.

I started by trying to buy a sale item in our local Courtenay store. They didn't have 8item, so I asked if someone could contact a nearby store and inquire if the item was available. A call to the Campbell River store proved fruitful and they agreed to hold it for me. When I got to CR, the clerk knew about the hold, but, it took a wh6to find. I’ve shopped here for 6 months and I won’t step foot in there anymore. The store has no general manager and it shows . I highly doubt anyone at the store will read this. The store is crammed with inventory on the floor, the staff don’t care. The automotive dept is very frustrating, it took them 1.5 hours to do a 15 mom oil change AND I had an appointment in the morning (9:30am)

I bought my truck tires here. Without telling me they charged me a $20 "predisposal fee" for my old tires which I wanted to keep. The people in the automotive department are very unfriendly and unhelpful, they avoid eye contact and don't introduce themselves when you approach them. When I later got my tires changed there I had to tell them 4 times that I wanted to keep my old tires, and they still forgot. They also charged me 7dollars for "oiling the back hatch of my truck's topper" because they couldn't get it open apparently. The hatch squeaks just the same so I think very low of the employees at this particular Canadian tire. I will not be going there again.

This store is always overcrowded, product is stacked so poorly in aisles that you can't get a cart through. The staff does not seem to be knowledgeable about where products are.

I like the fact that other retail stores seem to be shying away from guns and things of the sort but our canadian tire just redid their hunting section with new selection of guns, better variety of ammunition, clothing and pretty much everything else in the sporting section. They really did a good job. I like it.

A store for pretty much everything for your day to day life, home, hardware and auto parts & maintenance requirement. Nice organised store with plenty of parking and good customer service and return policies. Must take an appointment for auto oil, tyre changes, wheel balancing & alignment and other repairs. It's better to verify thoroughly after their completed work. At times they do miss your complaints.

You might think this a bad review, because they put the wrong oil filter in, my engine blew up. But Cody made sure everything was fixxed like new . Replaced mortar with new one . Then made sure we were happy with free oil changes for life of car. On top of that free car to use while they fixxed it. Thanks Cody.

I do not know how Canadian tire Corner Brook is in business. Items are never in stock even knowing online says it is. You have to spend quite a time looking for a sales associate and they are useless. There is only one person at the store that i finds helpful and its the older man that's i believe is part of the management team. He dose his best and usually find an item. the rest of the staff is either to lazy or has the items pocked away for themselves. The online inventory cannot be wrong all the time especially for 4 missing tv's. I would like someone to call me back but its pointless.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Customer service is a joke. No one helps. I bought winter tires and got changed TWICE. When I called them they said they can’t give back the money to me. They put the SECOND charge through WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! (Almost a week after the first transaction) which is absurd. Also the managers can never seem to do anything. I will never shop here again. Their automotive workers are a joke, they will do and say anything to get more money from you. Canadian tire does not care about customers. I Will never recommend their automotive department to anyone, ever.

I was so disappointed with Canadian Tire in Corner Brook! Two employees ignored me when I asked for help and then I had to go back and get a picture of the cost for the chain that I was purchasing. There was approximately 5 or 6 employees visible in the store. 2 at customer service, 2 cashiers and the other 2 who ignored me... Close the store if you don't have enough people to run the store. This store has worse service than the Walmart store in Corner Brook.
