Best place for halal meat in tri city area hands down. Cleanest chicken and shop around. Some places make you wonder about their chicken slaughter method and quality due to excess blood , clots, and bruising etc. Not this place. Quality environment and service, good competitive prices. Butchers are willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. Don't get me started on the quality of the steak- phenomenal. Nothing but good to say about Shaan Foods.

Lovely Mid Eastern grocery store, with an excellent selection of meats (lamb, goat, deer, beef), very reasonable pricing. Parking is free, there isn't any wifi, but it's a grocery store... ???? They also have a good selection of teas, mostly black and green. The quality looks better (loose leaf) than shay Zehrs et al have to offer. They also carry sahleb ???? They also carry honey from the University of Guelph ???? This is independently owned/operated, so they do ask that if it's possible, to pay by debit or cash, as credit cards charge the store quite a premium when used.

I have been going to Shaan foods meat shop but recently my experience was not good at all. This meat shop used to be clean but during my last visit, the shop was very dirty, the meat remains were all over the floor and the flies were flying around. Then the person who cut the meat and chicken for me did not pay attention when doing the work. I have asked to make sure chicken is properly cut and clean but he was wasting more chicken rather than cleaning it. I guess time to look for another meat shop in the area.

I absolutely LOVE the meat from their butchers counter in the back. Everything is always extremely fresh and delicious and they are always coming up with wonderful new products to try. The lamb burgers that they make are fantastic on the bbq and the tandoori chicken is always so juicy. You really can't go wrong with anything from them. This cardamom bag clearly says 50 grams and the price tag says 100 grams for 8.99. I asked the cashier to scan the packet and he said it scans as 8.99 and he cant do anything as manager works in the morning. I also came a week ago and asked the same cashier and he said he will let the management know so they fix this. Even after a week it was the same. He was very unhelpful and due to which I had to again not buy cardamom and walkout. I told him to charge me half price and he said he cant. Kindly fix this.

Surprise Dog Food Find So, I have come to appreciate this little supermarket for their what I’ll call breakfast kabobs. If my 10 year old like ‘em, they must be good. Given its limitations in terms of size, their butcher is very competitive with all you’d ever expect to find. Thus far, I’ve been very happy with their minced meat and chicken cuts. On pure spec, not expecting much in return as far as an answer, I asked for bones for my dog. To my delight, SHAAN has a whole section of packaged food in 1 litre size containers including beef cubes, chicken feet, chicken red bone, beef tongue, chicken breast and of course the ol’ standby - bones. Chicken bones that is. There are even some other items that I didn’t jot down. The service here is friendly and helpful. It appears they have a variety of spices, but are not really afresh produce grocer apart from lemon, ginger and garlic.

Aweful owners and wouldn't be in business if it wasn't for the friendly employees! The owner lacks common sense and logic big time! Touched me on my arm during the COVID epidemic to tell me to wear gloves that were on a low side table by the entrance and barely visible, not to mention that not all customers were wearing them. It's like someone coughing in your face and telling you to wear a mask! When I asked him not to touch me again, he asked me not to come back to the store and thing snow balled from there. Out of all the grocery shops in Cambridge, this is one of the worst.

I saw twice similar rudeness from different 2 guys although you pay around $100 for every visit, and I think its time to change it to another Halal butchery. The guys in the meat section were great. They were very customer friendly and orientated, tye cashier was very pleasant except for one lady who seems to be in some sort of senior role as she was giving instruction to another worker about wiping and stocking the shelves. We were the first two customer in the store, she never acknowledged us at all i wanted to step right out, but choose to see what this place was all about as it was recommended to us. Apart from that the place is well stocked , clean, presentation was great. Prices are a bit high , but hey if i am getting good service and i feel welcome..... I'm all good. Great place.

Nice block and plenty of parking spots available. Most importantly, pretty good variety of meat products available which makes for a decent selection.

The prices are reasonable, the quality of meat is great and the service is excellent. If they don't have what you want, they always gave me the days of delivery of my request. I’m a regular at this place, but today I was disappointed . I got a bag of what I thought would be a nut mix (peanuts, pistachio, etc..) as the bag shows . I get home and open it , I find small watermelon seeds which I never eat. Clearly I was tricked into buying this. Cheaply packaged with one staple and with wrong picture on the bag. This will be my last time buying nuts at this place.
