Spices, buiscuits, meat... anything you can think of that isn't available in other grocery store, you will FOR SURE find them here! I've lived for in Canada for 3 years without finding any Prince Lu biscuit anywhere and I FINALLY found it here. I was also once searching for white pepper and couldn't find in Walmart or any other big store, but Al-Ummah had it! Thanks a lot Razzah!

Bought some drumsticks from here. Drumsticks were clearly labelled on the fridge 2.99/lb yet when the got packaged they became 3.99/lb. Be careful as this place is being run by a bunch of fraudsters. Another guy almost refused to talk to my wife (we are westerners) and was giving her all kinds of mean looks. My recommendation is to stay away from this place.

I went to this store today for the first time, since I have moved to Cambridge recently. Very nice, clean and tidy store and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is a very friendly, well spoken, kind, honest and God fearing guy. Its definitely my grocery and meat shop from now on. I am glad that I went there today.

My comment was for the store when it was Al nayaab. I understand they have a new owner now. so are their Biriyani good, yes it is but are they ok with pricing and their business model, well NO THEY ARE NOT. Apparently if you buy cooked food they don't accept Credit Cards, this way they can keep the price low. Fair enough so I started paying with my debit card. My friend and I went to buy some chicken Biriyani and I asked for some extra Green sauce. When I came to the counter I paid with my debit card and was charged 13 cad. My friend got 2 biriyani as well and he was charged 12. So I asked why the dollar more, the person behind the counter stated because I paid with a debit card and I took an extra green sauce. I was a little sarcastic and told him wow so you charge for green sauce as well, his response was there is a cost for everything. Well my friend guess what you are right, there is a cost for everything, even for doing business and you just cost your business 1 less customer. Hope you are happy. This is a problem with small businesses they don't look at the big picture. If he told me that paying by cash would be less and that the green sauce costs 50 cents I could have made a choice but that option was never given. And why say you will accept credit card on the window if you plan to decide on what items you will and will not accept credit card. Very bad business model. and if my buddy was charged 5.99 for each biriyani and for 2 it was 12 that means by paying cash we are not charged tax.....hmmmmm

Don't be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews. Some of the worst customer service. ZERO people skills from the man behind the counter. He was extremely rude to my wife when she asked a question. When the incorrect change was given back ($8.00 short) he got angry and practically threw the change back at us. Will never shop here again. The reason he was rude? Because we didn't want the product he was upselling us on. We were here for sandwich meats which they didn't have so we settled for frozen meats. I regret buying anything from them. Such a bad experience. Never again.

Bad experience 3rd time in a row. Owner did not wear gloves while cutting my meat. Meat cuts are always 80%, so you have to finish cutting your meat pieces. Upon inquiring about gloves, I was told the owners are not supposed to wear gloves ????‍♂️ don’t recommend this place at all

once I did my grocery when it was time to pay I asked the person Raja (he’s the owner I guess)to charge me for 2 rice bags when I had 1. I said I’ll take another bag after I’m done. But I forgot and came back home. Found out I’m missing 1 bag. So I called Raja and asked I don’t have the receipt but if I can get the other bag of rice. Without any hesitation he said it’s yours come and take it. I was so pleased with his genaurosity.

A nice halaal Indian/Pakistani grocery/meat shop. On-site deli as well. Take out biryani and couple of different currys always available. Catering for small to mid size events available. Samosas and chicken/beef patties always available, good for a quick snack. The owners do a great job merchandising goods and keeping the shop clean at all times. Everything in store is pretty reasonably priced.

Worst place cambridge has ever seen. They lack customer service skills completely can not be bothered to help you at all you ask them for something and you get such an arrogant response that it should be in aisle 2 and the owner goes right back to playing on his cellphone and when you return to the counter to let him know you couldn't find the product his response is well I guess we dont have any . For some reason i still decided to purchase some dates and figs which I later realized was a big mistake. Had a few dry figs only to discover Maggots inside, absolutely disgusting get your shop in order.

Been going to Al - Ummah for a couple years now. Always super friendly and accommodating. If you ever can’t find a spice or seasoning in the grocery store I can almost guarantee you they have it. Their butcher counter is top notch, I’m personally partial to goat and I’ve never been disappointed with their quality of product

Heart of all such shops is selling meat and I found them not very strong in it. Small things matter, for example butcher being upset if asked a few questions, washing chicken before weighing etc. Amongst good things are owner being very friendly and meat cleaning / rates are better than mississauga.
