I decided to order a couple more plants since then and I had the most amazing customer service. I selected the wrong plant and proceeded to checkout. Plantsome went above and beyond to earn those 5 stars. The customer service experience was absolutely phenomenal and I will definitely be ordering again in the future. For anyone worried about ordering plants through the mail, the packaging is A+. Like, my postal carrier kinda "tossed" the package into the porch and I was able to read "this side up" by tilting my head, but the pots were in perfect condition and there was barely even spilled soil. Shipping delays, on the other hand, aren't exactly plant friendly, but Plantsome truly helped me out and stood behind their service. They're just such a fun and passionate brand. I'm confident I'll be ordering again soon!

Great communication, very quick and polite. Packaging is phenomenal! They take every precaution to insure that the box stays upright and all the plants stay in place, the handles on the box definitely help with this too. Shipping was quick even with Canada day in the middle of the week they arrived before the weekend. The little extra was amazing (my wish list plant). All the plants look super healthy and well taken care of. 10/10 no complaints at all.

The site has great instructions for caring and watering, and their app is launching soon that will give you updates every time you need to water etc. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs some more green in their life.

As Tyra would say, "It's so bad, I want to give you a zero but that's not possible so I give you a one." Poor customer service and communication. I placed an order for pick up and their notification email indicated they were only available for pick up M-F 10-5. I work those hours and sent an email to customer service advising such and to refund my order. I did get an email back several days later saying they're open weekends (why is this not consistently messaged at customer touch points?) but at that point had purchased what I needed from somewhere closer to home. On their website, it states that they cancel and refund orders if not picked up after 3 days (the pick up notification said 1 week so again, really amateur management of customer messaging) and I went on with my life trusting that my a) direct request and b) their own published policy would mean my refund would be handled in short order. We're now 2.5 weeks and three emails later and no response or refund from Plantsome for goods I haven't received.

Initially was a major fan of this company, their marketing and products. Our plant got spider mites shortly after delivery and they essentially blamed us for it even though we just moved into a newly renovated house (and none of our other plants had mites). So keep that in mind when ordering.

Always very friendly staff, sometimes order times/acknoedgement can be kind of finicky, however, if you are local to Vancouver that's not much of a problem as you can easily pick things up. Also, the physical location is in a really quiet spot for the neighborhood, which is really nice. All around very very happy with the ongoing experience! UPDATE: roughly 4 months after first review... What was once a nice time turned into a disappointment... the plants from them started coming damaged, or completely out of stock after paying for them... and anytime you get it shipped they're beyond fixing... the amount of time, effort and gas money made the already overpriced nature of this store completely outrageous for what is actually delivered upon... while they will troubleshoot care with you, it's like pulling teeth to have them uphold their returns or exchanges policy... unfortunately I can't say I recommend this to any of my friends anymore... as multiple friends have gotten burnt by their experiences as well... sorry to go but I'm no longer going to be a customer supporting this business... I much rather give my money to the vancouver at home plant communities and ethics driven nursaries.

Only complaint would be that some of the plants I've ordered have some slightly damaged (ie. browning/slightly yellowing leaves, ripped leaves). Not enough to warrant having to return any, but I would say to future buyers that sometimes the plants won't come picture perfect (but that's to be expected). Love the company, though, and will continue to order from them in the future!

3 Week Review: WARNING FUNGUS GNATS!!! Hello, I am sad to give this review because I had such high hopes for my large purchase of over $600 cad (5 plants (one was a freebie) + pots + 2 air plants). During the first week I did not notice any huge problems except in one of the smaller plants some leaves and stems were black on arrival. I pruned them and extracted what I could and thought that was the worst of it. I noticed that the soil in two of my larger potters (XXL and XL sizes) were very damp, and made the room noticeably more humid. I didn't water any of the plants because of this. After a week I started noticing some "flies" appearing around the different areas of my home (I put plants in my living room, bedroom, and office (which are on different floors of my home). I didn't know about fungus gnats but after some research about the pests I put two and two together. I'm actually really turned off and grossed out thinking about the eggs and larvae in the topsoil and what not. I never open the windows (because of my pollen and grass allergies) so the only thing new to my environment were these plants. Mind you, I also have other plants in my house that I've had for over 1.5 years with absolutely no issues. I've learned that Fungus Gnats can be deterred by placing a dry substrate (clay, pebbles, etc) substrate on top the soil so Gnats are less likely able to lay their eggs (GAG) into the soil so it would have been thoughtful for them to either have it already in the pot as a top layer or include it considering the premium markup on their products. I also believe that the plants were over-hydrated prior to delivery (not sure about their nursery and storage situation) because even some of the cardboard boxes and packaging papers was wet and a bit leaky on the bottom (over-packaging is also an issue with the consideration that it was a very local delivery; I get it, it's part of the concept but still) which would lead to more root and plant rot (and more food for the Gnat Party.) I'm at a loss because I did not expect this huge no-no would be possible for a company that is supposedly super savvy. Feels like I just got cheap plants (and by extension, infested soil) dressed up in fancy clothes. All in all, I had a okay shopping experience (which was flashy and fun) but I think it is not worth it because of the infestation. Until this type of issue is addressed at the root (lol?), I would not recommend buying these Trojan Horses. PS. I had to swat at a gnat while I typed this. EDIT: I also forgot to mention that the delivery person drove their truck right up onto our sidewalk lawn and parked improperly, leaving muddy tracks where it ripped the grass out when they left. The picture I attached was taken by a concerned neighbor (I live in a small town home complex) so it was a bit of a embarrassing situation for me when I had to tell them that the delivery was for me. Re-edit after company response: I have not been contacted through telephone, email or DM either through Facebook or other means. Nor did I review their business on Facebook. They shared my Instagram story of when I first got the plants so I’m not sure where they tried “reaching out to me”. ????????‍♂️ I was not faulting the company on their post sale customer service through an honest review of their product. However, get the story straight before saying you’ve done all you can when it comes to reaching out to me as this review has been submitted WEEKS ago and it just got a response Jun 26th.

After picking out 3 with pots the package came in 3 days Surprise , the sturdy colourful green box looked exciting. As others have mentioned, I urge you to AVOID purchasing the XL or XXL plants as they are significantly smaller in actuality (see attached photo of my XXL Cranerys). It sure doesn't look XXL to me. Photos online are deceptive and misleading. It's a waste of money - you'd get more value for your dollar by purchasing a smaller iteration of the plant. Seeing how small they were was truly the biggest disappointment for me. On a positive note, delivery was expedient and my plants arrived carefully packaged, although they looked flimsy and took several hours to recover. In summary, the cons outweigh the pros and this purchase was not worth the cost. I won't be buying again.

I bought my first plant amigos about a week ago, but unfortunately they got damaged from the travel to AB. I emailed their costumer service as soon as possible with photos of the plant's state to let them know and they replied pretty quickly. Eloise from their store immediately gave me store credit and told me to keep her updated if the plants gets worse. Unfortunately, they did - so I emailed back. Again they were pretty quick to reply and they are sending me a healthier plant (fingers crossed they get to me safely!). I knew the risk of ordering online, but plantsome's desire to make my first experience with them to be as good as possible is the reason why I'm giving them 5 stars. I appreciate it so much so that I will be buying more plants from them in the near future. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I ordered a Joshua Tree Yucca Cane and it travelled over 800 kms, was delivered 3 days later, totally fine and in perfect condition. Plants are packaged very well. I do recommend taking into account the forecast when ordering, since you know, spring time in Alberta is usually +20 then -10 with snow the next day. I really like that they include a selection of pots that will fit your plant and show you what your plant looks like in the pot. Everyone is asking me where and how to get these plants! Got a gift card for my birthday in the gift box (Fred the air plant was much larger than expected!) and after much though and deliberation given how large their assortment is, chose three plants to order. All three arrived earlier than expected and in fairly good condition, in very well planned packaging that even included a heat pack. They were a bit smushed but they seemed healthy - no pests - and are doing well now. The only problem I had was with just how full the pots were which made them a bit difficult to transport and water especially since they were pretty large given their pot size; definitely have to repot them within the year. Oh and the ceramic pot I ordered as well came and looks very cute! It's a touch small for their nursery pots, they fit inside but with a bit of a lip over the top, but otherwise look great. Definitely would recommend and plan on buying more in the future :D

I had an average experience. I ordered three plants. They seemed to be a bit overpriced but the concept of plant mail was too exciting to resist. I ordered the Wednesday before a long weekend. They didn’t arrive until Wednesday the following week. They survived, just were really thirsty. The biggest leaf in the largest plant I ordered was completely ruined, like brown scratches that looked old. One of the plants looks like they had thrips under the leaves. And one was not the plant I ordered. Quite a few of the leaves are bent and broken. Plantsome’s customer service was very helpful and to their credit, they tried to make it right but it doesn’t change the fact that I now have plants I probably wouldn’t have picked out for myself. I don’t have the heart to send them back, even though they all seem to have fungus gnats. I keep my new plants separate and put the yellow stickies in it, which now have bugs stuck to them. Great concept, really nice customer service, just didn’t really work out for me.

Super friendly service! I loved that the delivery updates were clear and constant (ie. they let me know exactly when to expect them). The packaging was great, though the plant itself was slightly damaged but after clipping off a leaf or two my fig looked wonderful ♥️. Will purchase again soon!!

I have bought over a thousand dollars worth of plants from Plantsome after not being able to find some plants at local nurseries. I work as a physician so it’s hard due to my schedule to pop into nurseries when their hours usually close at 5 or 6pm. With Plantsome, delivery has made things really convenient. The only plant that had arrived below quality was the wild coffee plant which they gave me at 50% off anyway. I am loving the plants and they have a permanent customer.

Buyer beware if you're purchasing a large or extra large plants, they might be significantly smaller than advertised. I bought an XL Buddhist pine which was supposed to be around 95cm, on arrival it was barely 75cm. I also bought an XL Elephant Ear which was supposed to be 100cm and was barely taller than the Buddhist Pine. I reached out to customer service and the response has be slow and underwhelming with no resolution almost 5 business days later. I'm very disappointed with my purchases, I feel like I overpaid substantially.

Loved my Plantsome experience! Ordered on a Thursday night and delivered Monday morning! Packaging it came in was great and our Canada Post delivery person said she has been delivering lots of these parcels! Appreciated the heat pack as it was cold! The plants, pots and plant stands I chose are lovely. Only minor disappointment was the size of Rocky. However, he was described as extra small and I should have looked at the dimensions. Oh well, he will grow, he's just extra cute! :) Website is a lot of fun and I really enjoy the plant descriptions. Beautiful plants, great service! I was delivered in literally 36h from the time I ordered! The plants were very well packaged and look in really good shape. I really appreciated the wide range of plants to choose from. I had been looking for a pilea and a lemon lime prayer plant for a while and couldn't find it in stores, especially since I don't have a car to go outside of my usual neighbourdhoods. Plantsome had them both! Plus they're the same price as you would find in boutique flower shops in Kits. I totally recommend!

Ordered three house plants and am very happy! I was nervous having live plants shipped but they arrived in great condition. One of my plants was refunded and I was contacted saying that the last one they had wasn't in great shape so they refunded me and sent me the plant for free with tips on plant care. When it arrived it looked fine except on leaf had some brown spotting. I've had them for about three weeks and they are all doing great! I've also downloaded the app where you can keep track of your plants, name them, and ot let's you know when to check your plants for watering. Already looking to buy more <3

Mealybugs, Disappointed - I received a large Neon Pothos plant plus pot from Plantsome at the end of August. It was purchased for me by a family member as a gift. While I love the look of the plant and the delivery was smooth, the plant came with a terrible mealybug infestation. I'm confident that the plant did not catch the mealybugs from my home because I had no other plants in my home at the time. I tried really hard to save the plant because it was a gift. But despite my best efforts, the mealybug infestation was just too severe for the plant to be saved. I feel disappointed and frustrated with the quality.

I’m so glad I discovered Plantsome! The prices are reasonable and they deliver right to your door. They delivered within 2 business days the first time I ordered. The second time I made an order, I ordered it last night, and the next morning, I got notification that my order was being dropped off that afternoon! So amazing! The guy who makes the deliveries is super nice too. The plants were all in amazing condition when I received my order. Nothing was burnt, or broken, or looked sick/sad. Love this place. I can’t find that much variety in my hometown. I was a bit nervous because it was fairly cold here when the plants arrived, but they were very well packed (in paper/cardboard and no plastic!) and in great shape! They are so pretty I can’t stop looking at them ????

I ordered 2 small nursery plants, a large monstera deliciosa plant and a plant pot, all in excellent condition. The plants are very healthy. The plants arrived the very next day. I love the concept of receiving plants at your door step! I was just a little disappointed when I received my fiddle leaf fig which was about 30cm shorter than it was supposed to be according my to the website. The roots are above the soil and there are lots of actual styrofoam pieces in the soil. I had also ordered a rubber tree and it was very sparse compared to the one that my friend had received. Delivery was great, I ordered Tuesday night and had my order at my doorstep Friday morning. Customer service was pretty helpful when I had reached out about the size mishap. I’m giving my fiddle all the love right now hoping it survives the 3 months before I can repot it and give it some more soil. Overall, they have great people that work there and it’s a neat concept.

Shipping was faster than I expected and since I unfortunately had an impartial address, an actual human got in touch to make sure my friend got her gift (no automated "sorry we missed you" or game of hide and seek with the package). I was able to see the 'unboxing' via video - it was a really cute and through packaging job. My friend loved the pot and plants saying that they were all really high quality. She also liked that the plants came pre-named. I'm excepted to buy some for myself now!

One order was lost for 11 days, Plantsome was not helpful in locating the order. Decided to reorder...a day after the second order was placed, the first one showed up. Second order received the next day. Both orders had lost most of the dirt, and all were in poor shape. Maybe I can get them back...maybe not. Probably will go somewhere else for my next plants.

My order included a satin pothos plant. I recently re-potted the plant, several months after purchasing it, and realized it was just a 4-5 rooted cuttings rather than a full plant. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this company based on the quality of the plants.

Delivery of plants are always spot on but I have tones of feedback about the app for plantsome ! Please take this information back to the app developer as it ruins a bit of the experience for me. I first discover this company though the daily hive as they sold me on the concept of having an app that will let it's users know when to water, fertilize plants. This concept is amazing for those that are new to the plant parent world. It be great if it actually had the plants on their plant database . U guys mention about 3 month plant satisfactory so long as we follow the plantsome app care guide. But tones of the plants I've purchased have not been added onto the app! Was the reason why I decided to buy from the company to begin with! I've sent emails complaining about the lime maranta prayer plant, the triostar stromanthee, calathea Zebrina, and calathea roseopicta not showing up on the app! Please add these in, it's hard for me to talk positively about the company ! I see great potential for this company will keeping it at 3 stars till the apps been improved.

I purchased a Dracaena Deremensis XXL plant for my sister as a housewarming gift, and was very pleased with the entire ordering/delivery process.
