We slipped into European Butcher boy short on time preparing for a birthday party BBQ. OMG the butcher knows his stuff when it comes to meat . Amazing , amazing ,amazing is all we heard from all the guest . We added nothing as the butcher prepped the spices all meats were so juicy and tasty . The smoked meats and cheeses were a hit the the finger snack table . Give them a shot and you will not go anywhere else

Since management changed (from what I was told) its not the same. It's pricey and quality especially the cured meats are not like before. BB has been going downhill for years. Friendly staff are hit and miss....mostly they're very moody most of the time. They do have a good selection of imported items but i would never buy most as many items lack manufacturing date or expiration date. I bought wafers only to find them very stale. Chocolate rarely tastes fresh compared to the original one you buy from the native country. It's similar at other delis but not when new stock arrives from the importer. Much of their fridge items are now prepackaged so you can no longer customize your quantity or weight like you used to. They made it less of a deli and more like a supermarket. Their freezer section is bigger but who knows how long the items have been there. I feel the positive reviews are mostly from those who have a strong sense of loyalty to this business. I go where it's good and I'll always remain impartial, bias free. Not recommended.

I miss the European staff. Recruitment seems to be an issue. Sausages are really hard now. Most items are encapsulated in vacuum sealed plastic. Many deserts and cookies are very expensive. Some can be bought at Big Box Supermarkets at considerably cheaper prices. We will not return until we hear from others we know that this deli has improved in every way.

Excellent Ukranian Smoked foods, etc.. I was very impressed with this small store. They are an outlet for a much larger local smokehouse. We like to buy cheap frozen pizzas and add good stuff to them. This has great pepperoni and a lot of other great things. Eastern European salami and sausages and smoked bacon and that sort of thing. All very high quality and made locally. The ladies were extremely friendly and I got a few free samples. Will definitely go here in the future. I would never buy pizza pepperoni in a regular store again.

Really like this little shop. I've had a selection of their sausages, and all of them are great. Good selection of pickles, sauerkraut, candies, cookies, and jams. Rarely leave without buying a few extra tempting things than planned.

Very expensive, everything is overpriced. Some deli are undercooked, if they don’t sell if fresh they vacuum it to keep it longer. I see the stuff serving the ppl not using gloves and their nails are black. Yeah it’s a family business but they can’t keep up with the quality and cleanliness

Friendly staff, variety of Eastern European products and locally made sausages of all kind, even a camel one, believe it or not:) Prices are reasonable. The only thing that takes one star off is that it is a really small place with narrow space between the shelves and some product sits on not always clean floor.

Our friends recommended this place so we did. My wife and I tried them on the barbeque and the taste waste not there so we placed two types of sausage ( Ukranian and the mild) of the frying pan and cooked them. The fat just kept on coming out with no distinguishable meat "burns" appearance. This is the very first time cooking sausages and the fat crystalizes on the meet. My father is a butcher and NEVER have I seen this. Unable to taste the sausage cause all it's all SALT. The sausages did not smell correct even after cooking them. I suspect the meat is not beef and pork. Don't waste your money. Will never return after buying 60 percent beef? fat and 40pork? Have taken pictures and will show my "old friends". Go to Polonia sausage,Costco, Santa Barbara or any other place. Buy the meat because you see what you get. The sausages not so. The counter service on the other hand was friendly.

I bought expired Kefir on Thursday, March 28th. The the safety seal is missing and is is best before March 11th 2019. I had previous bad experiences, but now I learned the lesson. Never buy from this store.

I shopped once on Nov 17, 2021 in this store and absolutely never come there again. Their vacuumed package meat (in house wrapped) was rotten. I opened package next day; meat smelled horrible and was full of slime. I have also bought sliced ham and next day it smelled sour. $40 in garbage. Store was dirty.

This place has excellent cured meats and usually the women are quite nice, but once in a while you run upon a castle wench who needs a good lesson in customer service. The negative is that they tend to be very busy and sometimes rude, also, the store is so packed with product it looks like it cannot physically be properly cleaned - but that's more me giving advice than being bothered by it.

I went there today and I was really pleasantly surprised how prepared European Butcher Boy is for the situation that we are all in right now: there are masks, gloves and disinfect at stores entrance for self service. Doors are wide open and all the staff wears masks and gloves, and store is fully stocked! Bravo!

Was recommended this shop, however not happy with their service. Went during a slow time, A good butcher shop will show you the cut of meat b4 you buy, this one did not. Was not happy with what i purchased - Beef, over cooked it as it seemed they show fresh one, but given old one.

best selection of eastern European foods. if it is your first time you have to get chivapi. cook med temp careful to not over cook or they will dry out and be like a boot. excellent meat. I have been shopping there for years and my baba and family aswell. excellent staff. owner is a great guy always smiling and happy.
