The dont respect women’s. One time i saw a lady and young women One of the employee was yelling at the daughter Because she complained one missing bag. Instead of Yelling at the Lady and her daughter the employee must apologize and solve the problem Politely and nicely. It is the employee fult Due to Rushing between tow Customers at the cashier.The Customer bags got mixed up with Other customer bag.The employee is not asking the lady to take her bag off the cashier. When the Employee at the cashier must give distance between each Customer he serve So the bags wont get mixed up between customers. He must serve one by one. not 2 persons in the same time. Lastly the mistake from the cashier person. thank you

I bought 3.38 LB of veal with bones, and some of the pieces in the packet seems to be not good with a very strong rotten smell in it(Odor of a decaying flesh). I went back to shop to inform the same however they said it is good and were reluctant in returning it...Concern about the health issues and cleanliness of the shop. If you are buying anything from shop make sure to check it before they even pack and bar code it..Thinking of officially raising the concern with Canadian food inspection agency..Be very very cautious when buying any non veg, or Halal items from them.

I was in this store at December 17. There was a waiting line at the door of the store. Also, they got delivery at the same time and kept us waiting 30 minutes. When I asked them about the situation, one rude man told me " go sister go" so basically kicked me out of the store. People in this place are rude and they do not even listen what you say. Poor service quality. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If there were other Halal options in my neighborhood, I wouldn't go this place again.

Good knows who supplies them and how the meat is raised! Don’t pay attention to a some simple “HALAL” signs that are not legitimate and false. Bought steak meat from here and everything is clean and well kept and maintained. I appreciate how well the store is kept clean and neat. The only thing I felt a bit upset was that the steak one piece had 60% fat and very less meat and I ended up paying for fat than meat. I wanted to let the butcher know but I thought he would cut it off but he did not and I was not sure how to let him know as I feel he is the professional and should automatically cut off the fat unless the customer asks for it.

Walked in, only needed to buy some bread. Stood in line about 5 minutes, nobody was at the cash register and nobody was in front of me. Then a lady walks infront of me, with about 30 items and 1 of the 3 butchers working cones from behind the counter and proceeded to serve her before me. I put my bread on the counter and told them to keep it. I'll never return. Poor customer service.

Fantastic butcher as well. My other favourite butcher. Excellent Veal and Chicken. Ofcourse they have beef. But the veal is fantastic as is the chicken. All very fresh. Lots of Persian specialty items such as Persian Yogurt & breads etc.

I came here a few days ago to buy some Asure wheat. When I looked at the price on the shelf, it was for $2.50 a package. However, at the register, the employee (or owner, I couldn't tell), were trying to charge $2.99 a package. I tried to tell them that there was a discrepancy in the prices and they flat out told me I was wrong. The price wasn't a big deal (I mean I spent $40 shopping here!), but their dishonesty, attitude towards me, and how they handled the price discrepancy drew the line. If you want to be told that you're wrong about the prices THEY post on their shelves, feel free to go. I know I will stop coming here and can find the products I'm looking for elsewhere.

The meat is good. The owners are awesome but sometimes the customer service is a bit odd. Twice now I have guys look at me weird. I dont know if race have anything to do with it. I know few middle eastern folks can be racist towards black folks, eventhough the prophet said white is not better than black, nor is black better than white and Arab is not better than none Arab. It's the only store I've been looked at differently in canada, but I still go there because the meat is good and the owners and old staffs used to be awesome. But I'll recomend it because the meat is good

They seem nice and friendly and keep saying brother and sister , but indeed they are not honest , expired stuff most of the time , and the meat is not fresh all the time . be carful when you are on the cash they make mistakes in purpos , you will be ripped off if you don't review your receipt and discover the mistake and if you discover it right away he would apologize and say sory sister its a mistake , it happened more than ten times with me , then decided to stop going there , when I mentioned this story in front of group of people all of them shared that same story happened with them !! I have been always shopping at this store, but had a bad experience. Got the meat steak, and basicly it was from an older cow. I could not eat eat it, it was hard as rock. This is what happens when the owner buys huge amount of meat without even looking at it. Basicly the owner does not know what is he selling... When I told him about the issue, he blamed one of his staff, for not giving me good quality meat.

I did shop here maybe 5 times , the meat and the pricing is good,last time I got some sausage and didnt check the expiery date and it was long expired it even changed color compare to other package that was fine. That was disappointing, but I did try again today after many months, the store smells bad , it wasn't like this last time. In general it's not bad.

I bought 7 LB extra-lean ground beef. It is not a qualified meat at all; color-wise, main portion of that was black!!! Flavor-wise, it was awful; it seems that they are mixing different types of meat especially low quality meat. I went back to shop to inform them and ask for return; however they were reluctant in returning it. After cooking, you might find the flavor is not good or you may feel the meat has two different flavors; it means that they have mixed low quality meat with regular meat for you. If you are buying anything from shop, make sure to check the color and smell before they even pack and bar code it. I have serious concern about the health issues and cleanliness of the shop. I gave this meat shop one star because Google doesn't offer zero or minus one star!

Wish i could give it zero star, we tried this store a few times cuz it is closest halal meat shop to our place, and were totally disappointed, the ground meat was dark, brown/black, and some peace of the stew meat tasted awful like a very very old meat. i do not trust them anymore as no body knows what they mix and sell....

Very disappointed. I am a long time customer but not going to this store any more. I bought meat from them and was waiting to pay for it'll of sudden ,the young cashier left the cash to watch something on someone cell phone for few minutes. Like seriously !!!!!!!!!!!! customer waiting and you left to watch something on someone cell phone, I had to call him to come after few minutes to tell him I am in rush and have to go. Unbelievable. Buddy customer is priority not watching clip on someone's cell phone for few minutes.

I have been Customer of Al Salam for the last 15 years. Through the year I have seen alot of unprofessional attitudes. However I was keep going because of hallal meat. Last time they really got on my nerves I purchased a Barbecue. When I used it I noted it is missing the cover. I went to ask for the parts that was missing they were very rude and unprofessional and didn't accept the return or giving me the missing part for it. Yes I used the product I come to get the missing parts which was the cover. The photo says everything I don't have say anything. You Customer look at the picture and judge the situation.

Unfortunately, I have a very bad shopping experience of this store. They sold me the meat at a much higher price than the meat on the shop.I noticed this when I checked the receipt on the bus.They even wrote only the total price on the receipt so that no one would notice. Be sure to check the prices of your receipts before leaving the store. I wish I never had this bad experience in this store. Unfortunately, I trusted them.

Good quality of meat, good prices and they're friendly. I always get my meat here, it's very fresh and I've had no issues at all, other than sometimes they give me more than I ask for. Last time I was there, I asked for 2 pounds and they packed me 2.5 pounds. It's ok, I understand that they can't be that accurate, but it's worth mentioning. I totally recommend this place.

I never thought of writing a review about this store even if I had several bad incidents in the last 5 years,and few of my friends told me the same. but now am convinced that the store needs real management to change it. Manager there is very good at answering questions and defending the store when it comes to complaints, but he never do anything to change attitude of employees or the customer experience. by point,customer service is not at its best all the time.I saw workers talking their ow language where other people from different origins do not understand them and sometimes they would talk about girls customers and ignoring the ordering customer!!!! some of the guys are very rude and they will not listen to you snd what you want!! Some of the products in the upper level are expired,but when you talk to the manager he would answer you ,sorry BROTHER we bought them!!!!.I dont know why the city people leave these guys selling expired stuff. to be honest, quality of meat is mostly good but does not justify the overpricing( I tried different halal places and by far salam is the most expencive ) the internal organs like liver would stay in the cooler for a week!!!! It did happen to me I did buy liver and other organs when I get home I found them expired. Also,in Covid time they double the price for no reason!!!. one trick that I dont like is that they put good meat pieces at front near the display and at the back of it is just chunk of fat,bons mixed wih meat!!! I decided to stop buying from there since last time when this happend to me refusing to give me specific piecee of meat from same category .The ugly thing is that they will give you more than you askee them to make money. I think we need another Halal shop in kingsway because these guys don't care anymore.

It was my first time going there. The store is slightly big compared to other halal places I’ve been to, it has two floors and includes everything. You can get your meat and also shop for mediterranean food, canned food, spices and frozen food in the upper level. They also sell some kitchen tools/ housewares! I had good customer service experience, the staff was friendly and helpful.
