I started buying different meats (pork, lamb, beef, chicken) from Jamie last year when he first launched the meat share program. The shares were great, not only because of the more sustainable concept where little or nothing goes to waste, but also due to the high quality of the cuts selected. Since the store opened in Barton I have been going there to get a few picks rather than a whole share. Both Candice and Jamie are amazing, I show up and I ask what I want, even a vague idea, and they go out of their way to give me that or something similar. Everything is portioned and packaged to what I need. And the flavour of everything I get is just unreal. I am really glad that I can go and see them regularly now.

I cannot say enough good things about J. Waldron Butchers and Jamie himself! He offers the highest quality meats- raised and butchered ethically (and without antibiotics and hormones) which is important to me. He offers a huge selection, but is willing to go above and source custom meats and create custom cuts, and help you pick the right cut for the recipe you want to cook. He is kind, friendly and truly cares about his customers. I haven’t purchased meat anywhere else, and nor will I ever. Best bacon I have ever had, hands down! And you must try the hot water crust meat pies (shoutout to Candice)- they’re all delicious, but the braised beef one is to die for!! Congratulations Jamie- you’re doing a wonderful job and clearly all these 5 star reviews show your hard work has paid off!
