Locally sourced free-range meat and poultry. Pricey but excellent quality. Wagyu beef is available seasonally but we'll worth it. Aged for a minimum of 30 days it's almost a Shame to grill it. Honestly, a minute a side on a really hot grill is all it takes. If beef is not your thing, capons for Thanksgiving and lamb rack for vernal Equinox is also a must have.

This was a first time purchase from Cumbraes. We bought a Shepherds Pie. It was fairly pricey but reviews claimed the quality was high. We couldn’t eat the dinner. It was tasteless except for the overpowering addition of salt. The peas were like little bullets — very hard. Disappointing. I will shop elsewhere.

We have been going to Cumbrae for many years now and it is my go to for beef. We have had the chicken, lamb, pork etc. but the beef is by far the stand out. There is a hard to get cut that I just love (will remain unnamed) and this is the best/only place to get it. More recently I had the wing steak.... wow. Delicious. Summer is coming so I hope that they decide to do their pulled pork sausages, they are amazing!! Anyways, Cumbrae’s is money well spent.

Best variety of quality meats, their tenderloin and marinated meats are outstanding. As has been said in other reviews it's a little pricey but if you're looking for a very special carnivorous experience Cumbraes is the place to go. Also, be sure to check out Micky McGuire's Cheese across the road, melt some Rocquefort on that steak!

I have been searching for beef Brisket for awhile now. Finally found it at Cumbraes and man was it good. Smoked it for 12 hours and it came out perfect! We lived in Memphis TN for a few years and have been searching for a good butcher and meat shop to go to. Found it!!

Expensive but outstanding. The best selection of meats. Their ready to cook chicken burgers are a family and friends favourite. Bring money though, you pay for the amazing quality and selection. We have never been disappointed by a purchase.

I went to Cumbrae's in Dundas, to buy good quality pork meat - ground. They didn't have any ground pork meat, but offered to grind it on the spot. While I was looking at the other items, the meat had been packed, so I did not see the meat at the time. Unpacking it today, to get it ready to make cabbage rolls, i was unpleasantly surprised to find blobs of pure fat mixed in the meat - almost half of the amount was pure fat! While I'm not avoiding fat, this was way more than I expected from this butcher. I had to go to Fortino's to buy some more pork meat to mix it with the one from Cumbrae! Too far to go back to them and too late to return this meat - I have guests tonight, otherwise I'd do it. Very disappointed!

I ordered a Turkey (in advance at that) went to pick up - it was so disorganized. You would think if this is something they deal with regularly it would not be so difficult. The Turkey was OK definitely not the best of the best if you ask me.

Went to go get a sandwich and salad for lunch. Had very bad service, the woman was really rude and snappy. I understand a bab day is a bad day but she was just rude. I bought a salad and it has obviously gone bad (smelt rancid and tasted old and sour; had a bite before realizing). A 12 dollar salad. Wasn't the most pleasant lunch experience

Great selection of fresh produce and imported goods. They carry those specific ingredients home chefs hope to get their hands on. Busy little store with lots to offer. Always a pleasure to browse the shelves and see what they’ve got to offer. Someone on staff also makes the cutest hand-lettered signs. Very Instagram-worthy shop perfect for the home chef!

I don’t mind paying for what you get so to speak.....however they are WAY overpriced for such disappointing cuts! I picked up 5-1” thick t-bones costing $195.00. I would NOT recommend this butcher shop, unless your trying to lose a friend. Disappointing, not very tender and absolutely horrible!! They only get a 1 because you cannot rate any lower!

What's not to love about Cumbraes? Premium butcher, excellent service and great variety. This is my go-to place for BBQ season - especially brisket and their marinated and flattened chicken. Absolutely love coming here.

Unfortunately something has changed with the quality here. Been coming for a while but the last two times the steak was not as tender or flavorful and the sausage was nothing to write home about. Previously the sausages were some of the best we've ever had. Hope they are not compromising quality

Had heard good things and was expecting much better than I received. Called and ordered 3 racks of St. Louis cut ribs and was surprised when offered berkshire pork ribs; fantastic I thought! Picked up the order and when I opened the vacuum pack I was greated with the most pathetic ribs I have ever seen. Almost all the meat had been trimmed off the bones, leaving next to nothing to cook and eat. For the premium price they charge you would expect a lot more.

Awful experience, called ahead asked for 2.5 pounds, arrived, had to wait for over half an hour for PICK UP. The piece of meat they give me is 2 pounds, as well as 7$/pound higher than what I was quoted on the phone. Clearly poor management.

Bought quiche kolbassa sausage bacon and short rib lasagna. Quiche was bland and crust soggy...not good at all. Kolbassa was just ok. Lasagna was pretty good. Bacon was quite good. But from all the hype and cost I was diappointed.

Ok, so this is one of the best butchers in Ontario. Its expensive but thats what quality meat costs. My favourite things to purchase are: beef demi glace and stocks when I'm in a pinch and out of homemade. fresh ground beef. house made sausages and hot dogs(nearly an impossible thing to find elsewhere). berkshire pork. the interesting affordable steak cuts: flat iron, hanger, bavette and skirt steak. High quality and difficult to find imported charcuterie and deli meats. With notice they can do almost any custom cut for you which is awesome. And if your pockets are deep or its special occasion you can get the best quality dry aged (40+ days) steak here.
