I make special trips to Granville Island especially for Tenderland Meats. Their good quality is top notch, simply the best. If I’m having a BBQ, they are my go to for burgers, Maui ribs, steak or chicken. I really like their flavored meat selection. The butchers have always been helpful, service is courteous.

Great service and excellent quality! Staff is friendly and informative. (Special shout out to Mike) We picked up a T-bone steak, some sausages, ground pork and a couple of house-made short rib burgers. Everything was incredibly fresh and the burgers were AMAZING! Ground in-house so we grilled them medium rare. Can’t express how good they were! 10/10 recommend!

We have been buying meat for Tenderland Meats for years now. I love that the meat is hormone and nitrate free. All of their meat is amazing. We especially love the lamb, bone in leg and rack of lamb. They have the rack plain or you can buy it already spiced. An easy and tasty meal. We usually go and stock up as we live in Langley. Love their roast beef, steaks, oh and there already made short ribs burgers are to live for. During this difficult time I will be ordering online and picking it up so we don't have to go inside. I live in New Westminster and have been making the time to go to Tenderland Meats for almost a decade. Mike and his crew are top shelf, friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. The quality and taste of the meats are far better than anything I have had from any of the grocery chains and other butchers. Well worth the time and effort in making the trip. The 'thick cut' pork chops are a must try!

For the first time this year we chose to do a boneless Prime Rib roast for Christmas dinner instead of our traditional turkey . Not sure if we will have a turkey again for quite a while ! The roast we got from Mike at Tenderland Meats at the Granville Island Market was probably one of the best pieces of beef we have ever cooked ! If you want great meat and great service this is the butcher shop to head to !

Never had a bad experience with customer service. Top quality products. Go to place for bone marrow bones, foie gras. Good deli cuts. Bit pricey but quality and selection justifies price. In Granville Island market. Free parking during covid.

I have recently become interesting in cooking Moroccan food in my tagine. I purchased cubed leg of lamb for my attempt, and it was so tender and delicious. We have purchased other products at Tenderland on our ventures down to Granville Island, and I find their quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

Maybe my 10th time here without posting a review but this is long overdue... If you’re looking for top quality steaks at an unbeatable price.... I don’t know what else I need to tell you. Take a trip to Granville island and head to tenderland meats. I just watched the leafs lose in game one of the playoffs and didn’t think anything would make me feel better. Leave it to the dry aged t-bone in the fridge... made me feel like a king. Thank you tenderland. You earned this 5 star. Leafs take game 2. -JB

Shocking and disgraceful! I bought Lamb here and while being what I would rate as hugely overpriced that didn't faze me. Firstly, I got served by (on my receipt, Gordon. It may have been someone else with them signed in on the register?) I was treated as if he was doing me a favour to serve me. I have an accent, however I live under 1 km from this place and got the impression that he had no time for me if I wasn't a Canadian, Though having lived here many years. I asked for it to be cut which seemed to be a real nuisance. Then I payed said thank you and the response was "yeah" I left it in the fridge for 2 days and when I went to marinade it. It was green and stunk. So far past bad that I had to remove it from the house after it was unwrapped. I have never had any type of meat go bad that quickly. I am sure that it wasn't my fridge as I have chicken, steak and fish sitting in the same area and they all fine. I tried calling and was hung up on as I tried to explain what had happened, just to top it all off. I will never give them a dime again. And I will make sure that every person I know that shops there knows what happened! What a pack of animals!

Definitely pricier than a lot of other places but the quality is always consistent. I come here mostly for their Maui Ribs. Best in the city and always a staple for my Spring/Summer BBQs!

Mike and his crew run by far the most reliable high quality butcher shop on Vancouver's west side. Service is fast, professional and friendly. The product range is great, with all of the standard cuts of beef, pork, lamb and more, but also less common things that I use a lot like beef tongue and rabbit. I moved in the city and for a while tried to use butchers further out west towards UBC. There were frequent disappointments. I switched back to Mike at Tenderland not that long ago and I'm reminded how excellent this shop has been for a very long time. Couldn't recommend more highly.
